Pirate Show

My sister and I went to see 'Pirates Uncut' on Monday night, it was 50 Euros each. We were assured that the show is changed and that it wouldn't be the same as the 'Pirates Adventure' we saw last year. It turned out it was actually the exact same, and there was nothing 18+ about it, infact I'm not even 18. However, it was actually fantastic. The only difference is there's lots of swearing, and no children. I think this proves that the atmosphere and crowd really do make the show. I'd go see Uncut again, but not Adventure.

Hi

Were just back from Palma Nova, Majorca last week.

We have been to pirates every year for the past three years.

I book direct on line with the 'Pirates' own web site and it cost £101 for 2 adults and 1 child in the VIP part of the deck.

DO NOT book with reps they charge 10 Euros extra each for the Pirates show.

A tip go when there is not a show after your one, ie the Uncut, as you are rushed out if there is, we went to the Thurs 8 pm showing and there was no show after so you have time to spend with the pirates.

I must say this year I was really disappointment compare to the last 2 years. A lot of the show acrobats seem to have left and there was just alot of girls dancing and exactly the same act displays as last year. A few of the pirates have moved around to other parts.

We were also put right a the very front of the stage so my son, 6, had to look right up to see the show and we were seated the row had two tables of 8 and we or my son could get out to use the toilet or get our photos taken together, so I was really disappointed after loving the show 2 years previously.

That is probably what annoyed me most about the Pirate show. The rushing out after. As soon as the show was finished it was "If you could leave your seats immediately"! They were even kicking us out of the toilets.

I won't go to see the show again for a long time but would of liked to see the Uncut. Thanks to the posters above who have already said that We have missed nothing.

Hi we are going out to Majorca for first week of November, will the pirates show still be on then? Also, would it be suitable to go to with a 2 year old??? I'm sure i've seen a thread on this subject and a link to a website with more info but i cant find it for looking....can anyone advise or give me the link to the thread / website?

Hi there. How do i get the best prices for tickets to the pirates show. It is for 4 adults and 2 children, booking direct with the web site would cost about £160 which seems a little expensive for a night out!

Unfortunately the Pirates is an expensive show. We went 2 years ago and it was £100 for 2 adults & 1 child - we paid extra to sit in the Quarterdeck area. We booked direct through their web site. It seemed to be the same price wherever you booked it - they dont seem to do any discounts, I suppose if they can fill it at those prices theres no need to make any reductions.

The show was fabulous - my son still talks about it (he was chosen by one of the pirates to go on stage) - but the food was atrocious. At those prices there is no excuse for such poor food, as soon as the show finished we got a taxi back to our apartment and then went out for something to eat.

Its a shame they don't do a show only package - but thats never going to happen - the place is bursting at the seams every night.

Don't let me put you off because it is a really good night out, but I can think of much better ways of spending £100.

We went last year, and despite the cost, turned out to be the highlight of the holiday!
We took pirates costumes with us, as buying everything there costs a small packet...plus if you are dressed up whilst queing, you get more attention and photo opportunities....
you would pay more than £30 a head if you went to a top show in the uk plus FREE food (chicken in basket style) plus soft drinks/punch & wine

its a must seen show, we are going again this year!
if you have a wife like mine, having a 25 year old 'hunk' with washboard stomach sidling up to you makes you drool, its for you!!

Hi, have to agree. Its the most expensive trip we've done but SO worth it. Yes the food is awful, but the show more than makes up for it. We did it two years ago when we went through a tour operator and will be doing it again independantly this year so will be checking out prices while we are there. I think they do an adults only one which I think would be great, as the family one is fairly near the knuckle, and very funny.

:) I went last year and thought it was an excellent show, well worth the money. At the end of the season it was due to go to America, don't know how it went down there as yet.

How long does the show last?

gill, show is about 2 hours long with interval.
BUT with the build up/photo ops after you can be looking nearer 3

Hi Tony - We went 10 years ago with our 3 yr old daughter and returned last year with daughter (12) and son (3) and it was just as good, if not better, than we remembered. We knew we wanted to go before we went on holiday and knew it would be expensive so budgeted for it. Still worth the money though. We dressed the little man up and all took our own bandanas. My little boy still goes on about it, esp. Captain Barbarossa, and gets his programme out every couple of weeks for a look. anice

For those of you who booked your tickets online, did you receive tickets before you went or did you just have to take a copy of your booking confirmation?

Hi, we took our online booking form to a separate entrance to get our tickets and did not have to queue with the main crowd. There is a kiosk at the front or plenty of pirates around to point you in the right direction.
We thought it was a great show and intend to go again.
Steve.

Going to majorca next week
Going to do a family trip to the Pirates show
Price wise ?
Is it best to book in this country where we booked our holiday
or through our reps at our hotel or a agent in majorca ?
Also is it worth paying the extra for the 1/4deck and how much more is it for 2 adults and 1 child.

thanks
