Firstly.i am really in two minds,(doesnt happen alot!)About booking our holiday to Kos. (lambi) We are a family of 4 two girls aged 7 and 8.
Im not sure if Kos is really for families can anyone confirm they have been with children and did you have fun.????
And could anyone tell me what the transfer time is from the airport(Kos) to Lambi(sophia Beach).????
Really dont want to book anything until i have this cleared up,... thanks for helping if you can.!!
Scarlet, cannt really hel;p you with the kiddies I'm afraid, but there are a lot of families go to Kos so sure you would be fine. Transfer would be no longer than 1/2 hour or so from the airport.
Went this August to Kos Town, kids 12 & 10, they had a great time, made many friends round the pool also liked the beaches and boat trips (nisaros). We on the other hand found it a bit commercial - having been to Crete, Kefalonia and Corfu in recent years. I think it really depends on what you and the kids like. Transfer is about 30/40 mins depending on number of drops.
thanks again.x

Im looking at organising going to Kos next year with a group of 10 lads. Im interested in finding out opinions what its like there, if a load of lads will enjoy it? can i also ask where all the women are off too next year?
I would say you couldn't go wrong withKardenema - loads of bars and clubs and I would imagine plenty of ladies for you lads to chase!!
I ask as some of the group went to magalluf this year and stated the men to women ratio was..... well they stated you had to see it to believe the amount of men fighting over so few women..... so they got me a little worried as i dont want to organise something like that and have everyone blaming me.
We went to zante 4 years ago and found that has been our best holiday ever. So im hopin its like.
Anyone with recommendation for apartments.Ta.
Pugwash - sent you a PM
Im seriously considering booking kos for our next years holiday but cannot find out if the beaches are sandy or shigle/pebble
As real beach lovers we need a sandy beach
We will be hiring a scooter for our fortnight so have no problem travelling to a beach if there is one available
Any info or photos anyone might have would be great and Id really appreciate it
Cheers

We stayed in Psaldi in October and the beaches werent the best and are shingly.
Is it reachable to visit on a daily basis??
It seems to be the best beach for us but we wish to stay in kos town / psaldi at the grecotel imperial and need to know if it is feasible to travel to the tingaki beach every day on our scooter
Cheers and thanks

Yes! we hired a scooter and made the trip regularly from Kardamena which is a lot further away than Tigaki.
Hi Polar. You will be able to do the trip from Psalidi to Tingaki in about 15 -20 minutes tops on a scooter. Although parts of the beach in Lampi aren't too bad.
Can anyone recommend anywhere, for a relaxed holiday away from the main noise but close enough to walk for breakfast rolls?
thanks
