Thats great I like the idea of safety deposits normally have one in hotel but not this time is there somewhere near at hand to cash travlers cheques.

It sounds like you Kefalos well can you tell me anything about hotel Antonis. And is there good tavernas near at hand. Any information would be great it all adds to the build up to the holidays even though we have to wait till September.

Hope someone can help? I went to Kos Town 5years ago and stayed at the Anneta aparthotel, there are no reviews anywhere for this hotel but I did find its website. What I am wondering is would you book a hotel that wasn't bookable in the UK (would we be the only English peeps there) and how can I book an independent flight?

Hi all. Decided on Tingaki (Ilios or Fili apartments). Any recommendations please. By the way, it is cheaper to go half board at the Ilios rather than self catering 
. We would prefer self catering but does anyone know what the hotel rooms are like as opposed to the self catering apartments. Thanks in advance. Gx

The link below has a very crude diagram of kefalos. The Antonis hotel is in the triangle just at the back of the jetty.......which is where the bus stop is for your trips round the island. (the circle there denotes a roundabout!!)

Hi my friend and i are flying into Kos on 8th Sep (we are 33 years old)
We are going island hopping got 2 weeks but spending out first 2 nights in Kos - originally we wanted to re live our Youth and go to Kardamena for 2 nights however after reading reviews it seems to be average age of 18 years and cant be done with loads of lashed kids running a mock (nothing wrong with that when i was 18 just a bit old for it now)
We still want to have a mad lash night out and was wondering what the nightlife is like in Kos town? whether it would be slightly nearer our age group.
dont get me wrong we still love to party like the rest of them but with people near our age not teenagers

It sounds like Kos Town is a bit more cosmopolitan so would probably be better for a night out for someone your age. 
And you won't have so far to carry your hangover to get a ferry....unless you're planning to start at Nissiros...

Just wondering if you can help me find out if there is a UK tour operator or accommodation providor who is taking bookings for the Fili Apartments in Tingaki? I stayed at the apartments in 2003 with my husband and we had a brilliant holiday. We now have a 3 year old and want to take him there for a week, but I can't find anyone who is supplying these apartments anymore. Back then we booked with Golden Sun who have now gone bust, at the time Airtours were also advertising them, but I just can't find them.
Can anyone help, it'd be greatly appreciated!
