My mum's there now (arrived yesterday).
She emailed the hotel a couple of times prior to her holiday to request the same room she had last year.
Unfortunately they didn't give her that room

I've just read the most recent review for the Conrad and it would appear there has been a drop in the standard of the food served I've also read reviews on other websites, some of which also mention the food being of a poor standard.

People are also mentioning the fact the bathrooms still have not been decorated/renovated...........they were a bit tired looking last year but nothing has been done to rectify this.

Another worrying thing is the number of people who say the pool staff are taking money to secure sunbeds for guests who sometimes don't appear until the afternoon, if at all. This is causing a shortage of sunbeds by the pool, don't know about on the beach.

My mum has confirmed the food wasn't very nice and the bathrooms are looking very tatty. Unfortunately she hasn't yet posted a review!

I'd be interested to read reviews/comments from anyone else recently returned. I've emailed the hotel to ask when the bathrooms will be sorted and what they intend doing to stop the apparent sunbed situation.

Well what can I say. I have just had a lovely email from the Conrad wishing me a happy birthday and I don't even remember telling them when my birthday was. I can only assume that they got the details from my Hilton Honours card. It's nice to know that someone other than family and friends (and that icludes you lot on the HT forum!) is thinking of you.

Andy being cynical thinks its a good ploy to keep us coming back (we have already booked for July 2007!)

hi, just about to book this hotel for oct next this yr but noticed when booking through eclipse holidays the room they have chosen for us is

the other room in which you can select is the 1 below, so does that mean the room that is picked for us doesnt have a balcony or terrace, if we want a balcony or terrace we are charged another £14, i no it isnt much but you shuldnt have to pay for a balcony.

Any 1 that has booked with eclipse and has stayed at the conrad is this how it is or does every room have a balcony etc.

also there is a group of 12 of us going is it best to tell them we want to be near each other or if we book together does that put us together.

I booked by phoning First Choice and requested a sea view.I dont spend that much time in my room on holiday to warrant the extra charged.When were given a room at pool level but we couldnt see much due to the trees and bushes outside the room.I asked to be moved and were given a room above where the Italians have their resturant.It had a lovely view of the pool and the sea.It was room 2386 and all the rooms in that section were First Choice guests.The rooms on the higher level have the better view and I think all have a balcony or terrace

Try dropping the 'Conrad an email requesting rooms together. We have done this for the last 2 years and have found them very helpful and accomodating.

hi, just a quick question can you tell me if all the rooms at this hotel have a balcony or terrace or do some of the rooms not have either of these?

From what I know of the place, I cannot recall seeing any rooms without a balcony or terrace. There may be some round the back though so you may be well advised to drop the hotel an e-mail to ask. I believe raksha gave you the details elsewhere.

Oh dear. Have received an e-mail from Sinai divers informing us they will no longer be operating the dive centre at the Conrad in July.
I have e- mailed the hotel but have not received a reply from them.
If anyone is at the Conrad before June could you please find out who is operating the centre, or indeed if there still is one on site, and let me know so I can arrange our diving.
