I have it confirmed that I will be refunded by the TTA, but it will take about 6 weeks and I have to send in the bank statement with the switch payment proof and a copy of the cheque that I sent to Sleazy, both of which I have and forwarded to the TTA today.

Kathy, it might be worth talking to Dan at Longwood, he was really brilliant and you never know there might be a few more seats available, or Longwood might just put on another plane, depending how many poor souls are out there.

I sent all my details including bank statements to the TTA last week and they have confirmed today that I will be refunded in full, but as you say it will take about six weeks. They will be writing to everyone who has booked with Ezy in the next few days. As Carrot says there are going to be some unfortunate people who had no idea anything was wrong.

I also have been in touch with a friend who is a member of travel counsellors and it looks like she has managed to get me a holiday with Libra travelling on my original dates - a couple of hundred more than I paid to Sleezy unfortunately, but better than no holiday at all. Libra were only showing availability for bungalows at an exhorbitant price, but have agreed to book standard rooms. It should all be confirmed in the morning. I would have prefered Longwood's, but my eldest daughter's school is being very difficult about any sort of time off during term time and Monday flights would take us over the Half term week (although it would probably have been cheaper).

Don't like to count chickens etc, but looks as though we might be able to have that drink after all. Think we should make it the fizzy stuff, but perhaps not Egyptian!

Well Done Kathy, confirm as soon as your booking is complete. Thank goodness, we are the lucky ones - couldnt have gone without my Coral 'fix' - although it will be the fourth time this year lol.

Well - it's official now. Had a letter from (Sl)Ezy this morning confirming that they had ceased trading on the 24th September. I feel so sorry for all those who had no warning and received a nasty surprise today.

My holiday is confirmed :D , so we will be winging our way out on the 21st October - Paul has bought new fins to celebrate. Helene I will have a drink waiting for you when you get there on Monday.

Swiss - will you be around that week or off on secret business elsewhere? I'm sure there's room in my luggage for a jar or two of the black stuff!

Well, I havent received a letter from Sleazy,, but I did receive two letters this morning in the post, one from the TTA confirming that I didnt have a booking and to confirm a refund in approximately 6 weeks, and in the other envelope were my tickets and documents from Longwood. Hurrah, all definately confirmed, so I shall be off on the 23rd October

Swiss at present the only club I seem to be in is the " I booked with Ezy and might not get there " association ! Lucy appears to be having a well earned rest, probably recovering from the Lion's threats ..... has he arrived ?

Do you think fruit is a good mix with vegetables ?

Apple5 - we were due to travel on 21st October. I have had a letter from Ezy saying that with effect from midnight 24th September they have ceased to trade. The TTA have supposedly checked the lists of all Ezy customers to see if bookings have been made for them and whether the suppliers will honour them. I have had a letter from the TTA confirming that no booking has been made and they will be administering may claim for a refund. The letter was signed by the operations manager. I can PM you her name and email address if you like.

No news today so we're trying again tomorrow, really need to know if we are booked or not. No communication from Ezy since getting confirmation of payment of balance. 'Spect we'll hear from TTA eventually. You could try sending me the address/ name, but my PM doesn't work.

Apple... as long as they are not white carrots. You could use bristle toothbrushes for the scrubbing though.

Updating anyone that's interested ; letter arrived this morning confirming we do NOT have a booking for our Nuweiba holiday through Ezy and a refund will be " administered ".

Will post again when the refund arrives. Anyone got theirs yet ?
