Dont worry jamlog, we are going on the same cruise as you and it is on the 20th october (Got my tickets through yesterday).
I asked the voltage questions earlier and I have since been on the web and bought a 110 - 220 volt transformer plug which will take anything up to 100watts so my phone chargers, hair straighteners etc will be ok.
Hope your wife enjoys her birthday surprise.

Only have one answer, Norte Los Rodeos is in the North of Teneriffe.
I don't think the transfer is very long, and I havent been to Agadir, but am thinking of doing this itinery in February so you will have to let us know how you get on and what you think

If you put Agadir into the Search facility at the top of the page and select Posts and the Cruise forum, you will find all references to Agadir on this forum which may help you make up your mind.
For what it's worth, if you do decide to visit Agadir I would recommend going on an organised excursion rather than DIY which is fraught with problems from unscrupluous taxi drivers.

Hi Kerrie
The Cruise Reviews don't invite you to post a Resort Review in the same way the Hotel Reviews do as there are too many possibilities to list.
All I can suggest is that you read the reviews of ships that do or have done this itinerary, eg Thomson Spirit, Carousel, etc and see if Agadir is mentioned. The only other option is to use the Search facility as I mentioned earlier.

I am on the point of booking for Colourful Coasts on 17th Nov. However they only have 2 deluxe cabins left and these are both obstructed. Does anyone know just how bad this is?
Also, if we took the later dining option, does that mean we would miss the evening entertainment?

Hi Debs
I cant answer about the obstruction because we have only been on the lower decks but when we went on the spirit last year we had a later sitting for our meal and we didnt miss the shows, However i think you might miss the gameshow type of stuff in other lounge when you are watching the big shows after dinner. I have never been on the Destiny but i would think that its much like the spirit. Maybe someone who has been on the destiny might be able to help more.
I think we are going to go for the earlier sitting this time so we can watch the big shows and then move onto the other room for abit of a laugh.

Debs, are the cabins on deck 7 ? If so they aren't really that obstructed. If you look up out of picture window you can see the underneath of lifeboats but it isn't really a problem.
Late sitting is fine for main entertainment as they clear the lounge ready for second show....just don't linger too long over the choice of puds if you want a good seat.

Just recieved our tickets, and info on trips and prices.4 weeks to go.
Thanks for the advice. Yes they are on deck 7, so I guess they'll be OK. And I think we'll go for the late dining as we aren't all that keen on the gameshows. Looks like we might be going on the 3rd or the 11th now.
Anyone else going on August 9th '07?
Does anyone know what the Jewels Of The Med itinerary is like?
Any tips about the ship or anything?
I've only been on the Spirit and the Topaz (when it was running).

Are you doing a week or two?
Just one, sadly.
I've seen various discussions on AI drinks but not much about the actual drinks and prices. We are considering it but I'm not sure it's worth it. My hubby tends to drink bottled beer and JD and coke. I am partial to red wine and lemonade or Smirnoff ice, or port and Lemonade. does anyone know know if these are available on Destiny and if so approx how much? Also if tea/coffee is included how much would that be? Just trying to work out if we can justify £40 between us per day - I think not.
This is our first cruise and my gut feeling is pay as you go this time and book up early for free AI next time (if we like it!!)

Yes you do have a point there. We were offered on our first Thomson cruise an AI upgrade for £99 each. We did this but am sure we drank alot less than this
However as you say- we have booked early enough to receive an AI free this time for 4 of us- so am not bothered if we drink too much or too less
Not sure if its worth asking nearer the time for an upgrade price as we booked only a few weeks before and was offered £99

Port is2.20 minerals 1.00 330ml.tea and coffee 1.00 but if you get it from lido its free you can take it out of lido its just if your say in 1 of the lounges and you fancy tea its in a proper cup n saucer with a little biscuit These were the prices 3 weeks ago so im sure they will be the same.
