Only 3 more days to go before Colourful Coasts, can't wait. Can I ask a couple of questions that others may be able to help me with. Should we pack beach towels or does the ship supply? Are irons available in cabins or should be bring a travel iron?
Thanks in anticipation!
Irons are not permitted in cabins for safety reasons. I can't remember if there is a laundry with ironing facilities on this ship, but perhaps another member will be able to answer.

there isnt a self service laundry on the destiny , but you can send stuff to be ironed in the bag supplied in your cabin.
How much does this service cost ( Shirt/dress) And will it be added to your bill that you pay at the end of the week
Thanks
Kerrie
alsbaby. on Emerald 3 weeks ago the prices were ,,shirt, wash 2.00,press 1.40.dry clean 2.65. dress wash, press 2.80 dry clean 4.65. evening gown press 3.00 dry clean 5.30. and yes you just mark on the list what you require doin pop it in the laundry bag and give it to your cabin steward it comes back real quick and it will be added to your bill at end of week
Meant to say im sure prices will be just the same as is the bar prices as the sheet just says thomson cruises and not emerald or destiny!! if you get what i mean
Really looking forward to it. Decided not to do AI based on prices and the fact that we will probably do a number of excursions as it's all new to us! Thanks for all the advice.
This time tonorrow we will be on our way to the Destiny to do the Colourful Coasts tour!!!! Jessthepest I will save the itinery papers as promised and contact you on our return.
As said before this is our first cruise which I booked october last year, so really excited now.
I will post a review when I get back - Bye for now
Hope you have an absolutely brilliant time Jeccabean!!! Looking forward to reading your review on your return.
Ah, missed you Jeccabean, you'll be there by now, having a fab time already! I'll put the camera on and wave at you
Is the policy on the ship if you go off you all have to go- or if booked into the kids club can they still go to it?
Hi, we are looking forward to our cruise on Destiny on the 10th November and are well-armed with all the advice provided by this forum However, I have another question; can anyone let me know if there are daytime activites for adults, dance classes in particular? I like to do a bit of Salsa when on my hols
There are usually about 4 different dance classes at least, each on different days.
You don't all have to go off the ship together, BUT, if your kids are in the Kids Club, then there must be one adult left on board. On the signing in sheet you write down whereabouts you will be in case they need you.
The policy is that you should not leave any children on board unsupervised.
When we went in the summer there were people leaving young teens on their own whilst they went ashore. After seeing several accidents, people slipping and banging their heads, and fainting in the heat. I am not sure I would consider leaving older kids on board on their own.
I think older kids would be ok on their own, depending on how long the adults would be off the ship.
I do agree with the policy and was really suprised when I heard that yes you can leave.....
Checked in brochure and it is clear about it all. We are fine about it- but I know others whom are going intend to leave theirs......... little do they know
What is the Barcelona stop like too- as ours wish to go to the footie stadium whilst there. Me- I want the Shops
According to Teletext Page 317, there has been a major plumbing problem onboard the Destiny this week affecting many passengers.
Oh no, just heard about this! And there was me promising Jeccabean she'll have a fantastic first cruise! I'm gutted for her
Has anyone got any more info about this problem on Destiny? There was nothing on Teletext page 317 when I looked.
** Edit - It is still on page 317 at the time of writing in the Stv television region. **
