I have merged your post with our extensive weddings topic. You should find plenty information in earlier posts.
I get mearried in two days wee hey.
Our wedding was on 22nd September and the sunset was at about 7pm.
We had our wedding at 4.15pm and we were still able to have the sunset pictures done....well worth it
The guys were all fine in there suits they were linen so very light, I thought that they woulkd havfe taken the jackets off, but they said was fine....as we were on the cliff top there was a breeze so made it alot cooler.
I did get aload of paper bamboo fans tied with ribbons in our colours for the ladies and our usher handed as went to be seated for the wedding.
You have all made an excellent choice to marry in Cyprus...I wouldn't change a thing!!!

I know exactly what you mean...the DVD are like a mini film making you laugh and cry.
We ordered aload of extra for the family and I think that half the town I live in has seen it, with all our family showing all there friends.
So recommend Jill and Steve if you are thinking of having a DVD done...

We went for an standard album of 24 pictures can remember the price.
Then The sunset photos which is 6 whihc was £100cypriot, and the CD and proofs of all the photos which was an extra £85cypriot. We were so pleased with the results....we also were given a silver photo frame with a picture in and all the negatives too.
I got my nailsdone at the beauty salon in the hotel, they do acrylics, manicures etc everything a UK salon does and very reasonable in price too.
Hope this helps...any other questions please let me know..

Have a look at http://www.grecianpark.com it is just outside ayia napa on the way to protaras.....it is absoultly beautiful and the weddings are amazing there. Take it from a grecian park bride...
It's very sucluded some of the hotels wedding areas are very visable to sunbathers and some tend to get a crowd...at the grecian park it is very beautiful and suclude and doesn't feel like you are sharing your day with the whole hotel.
Any questions please ask..

Lucky- i hope your wedding goes well and your enjoying your stay at the phaethon. Tell Dido the girl he said he wants to marry says hi,see if he remembers.
Oooh I have booked Jill and Steve to do our wedding DVD! They were recommended to me by someoen else on here (I think it was on here her name was Julia) I sent away for a sample DVD and was very impressed. I especially liked the bit where they film your guests leaving you a message, I thought that was a great touch.
We are just back from getting married at Nissi beach on the 26th. We had a fabulous time, everything was perfect and Im so glad we decided to get married in Cyprus. We arranged everything ourselves, so it can be done! The Town Hall in Ayia Napa are efficient on the email and in person, and we arranged the rest while there, although we had put a deposit on a restaurant before we left, it wasnt necessary for us. We arrived on the saturday, had the town hall meeting on the monday then were married on the tuesday, so the 3 day resident rule includes weekends! Everyone went out of their way for us, the Cypriots are really friendly and honest. I had my hair done at Annas which is a few minutes drive from Nissi Beach, and my make up and nails thru the hotel and recommend both. The wedding itself was really quick, when we look back on the video it was about 5 mins in total! The marque at Nissi is a bit exposed, but more secluded than what I had imagined, tho you can see the beach umbrellas in the background. We had a cocktail reception at the hotel before getting a limo (recommend Limo taxis from the Protaras guide webpage - he drove us via Konnos Bay for more pics, was lots of fun!) and had our reception at a local restaurant in Protaras called Andaman. We originally booked for their sister restaurant The Corner restaurant for the air conditioning but switched after seeing both as it was pleasant enough to sit outside and the Andaman I thought had more charm with a distant sea view. All the guests enjoyed the restaurant and the staff went out of their way for us all. We had more food than we could eat and at the end of the night they gave us the flower decoration centerpiece as a gift. The only thing i could fault with the day was the hotel man at the wedding told my fiance not to look as I walked in!!! He didnt turn until I was beside him although the best man was telling him to, the hotel man kept saying dont look. Arrhh!!! And a few of our pics were taken in half sun/half shade, so make sure your standing in one or the other, not both! If anyone has any questions or wants to see any pics just ask! You'll definitely have a great wedding tho in Cyprus! All the best!
Vicky
We are getting married at Nissi Beach hotel, I would love to see photo's, I would also like to know about your hairdresser price etc. The limo to the reception sounds like a great idea, I was going to have mine at the hotel as I have never been to Cyprus before I am not familar with the restuarants.

We got married in the town hall ayia napa, then down to the sea for photo's and onto the monastry for more photo's. They came out tops and the day couldnt of been any better. Then to finish off we went into ayia napa for a meal and many drinks later that night with family, cant remember when we got back to our apartment but cyprus is the place to get married.
i have sent out my invites for our wedding in capo bay, protaras next year. feedback good and people are looking to get their bookings in early. they are asking me do i recommend anywhere in protaras or ayia napa. obviously just the normal self catering apartments.
any body got any sugestions or get good feedback from their guests?
Does anyone know anyone that had their wedding reception in the Aeneas Hotel in Ayia Napa? We have booked to have both the ceremony and the reception here in the marquee.
Thanks
I intend to get married at the nissi beach hotel next year if you could send me any pics or tips that would be great. I will private message my email address.
Cheers
Well what can we say but WOW, everything was fantastic, in fact we just cant believe its all over with, We were married at the capo bay in protarus in Aug 06, everything was excellent from the minute we arrived until we left 2 weeks later. We could not have asked for anything better.
We were married at 2pm in the indoor wedding room as it was too got to be married outside ( even though the outdoor wedding terrace is beautiful). Previous to this around 9.30am we had the personal touch of a local hairdresser whom picked us up from our hotel, took us to have our hairs done(7 of us) then dropped us back off again at 12, she did a fantastic job. Our photographer was booked also through first choice, he did us some beautiful pictures, 138 all together, we only paid to pick out 36 to have in album, and paid an extra 80CP to have the disk of the rest of the photos he had taken. its well worth it.
Our first choice wedding coordinator was on hand until after we were married and she too was excellent (Tracie was her name). Not to forget Katerina the Capo Bays hotel wedding coordinator, she did us proud, as we decided to have a sit down cavery meal on the pavillion in the capo bay for our wedding reception, around 5.30pm we decided that we wanted a dj (nick he was called) for an evening reception (which were wernt going to have) and thanks to Katerina the dj was there setting up for 7pm, and what a brilliant job he did, he personalised the whole night to us, nothing was too much to ask. His websit is if you would like to contact him to arrange your requirments:
http://www.freewebs.com/cyprusweddings/.
Would definatly recommend him to anyone.
I could go on forever, it was a beatiful day, and everyone made our experience a one that we will never forget.
If anyone wants to ask anything please feel free,
If you want to veiw our photos, if you could let us know how to put them on for you to see we will do.
Claire & Dean.
