Thankyou everyone. we had a lovely time & wish we were still there at least we've still got the party tomorrow to look forward to but it won't beat getting married in a beautiful place like cyprus.

i am getting married at paphos town hall in may, any suggestions on restarants in the harbour with cypriot / international food thanks.

hi can I just ask what kind of flowers you all had for your bouquets in cyprus?? and what you wore on your feet i am thinking of sandals but would this look silly with stockings??? with the toys if you know what I mean???
Also any help on ideas for bouquets would be great. or any websitesetc

Well we fly on Wednesday, i pick up my dress on tuesday and thats the last thing to do. Made a start on packing the cases today. We are so excited i can barley sleep at night.

The party was great quite a few didn't turn up which i wasn't happy about but the main people were there & we still enjoyed it. I can't believe i go back to work tomorrow & everythings back to normal i want to do it all over again.

Hi there can anyone tell me what the weddding vows are like at a cyprus civil wedding. I have just got back from a greek wedding and I was shocked at how short it was?

Hi annette, if you PM me your email address, i'll forward you an email i received from the wedding co-ordinator at Nissi beach detailing a typical wedding day there. he talks about the ceremony being about 15 mins long, but i'm sure you could add a reading in or something,make it a bit longer

We are staying at the Athena Beach, we are leaving to go to the airport in about 5 hours, i cant sleep but scott seems to be snoring his head off.

That was a bit of a bummer about people not turning up, but i think you will always get that. One of my bestest friends has not spoken to me since my hen night, she just got out of the taxi in a strop. I have no idea what the problem is but i have bigger things on my mind at the moment so i will just let her stew.

Anyway i will let you know how it all goes.

Hello I got married back in July now, seems such a long time ago now . We booked our package with Thomas Cook and pre booked our reception through the internet Sunset Beach Ayia Napa . We were met by the rep who was amazing when we got out there who arranged everything else for us when we got out there (flowers photos. cake and cars) I was so worried that those things weren't booked before we got out there but I wished I hadn't. Our reception was amazing a private Buffet on the beach with Karokee and Disco was a must. Everyone enjoyed it and it will always be remembered as the best day of my life. If anyone has any questions I will happy to answer them.

Anyone got any ideas for a reception in paphos. romantica booked and zucchini's. i am only aking as i've had mine booked for 3+ weeks, and confirmed for the 2nd time on tuesday by the lady of the restaurant, onlky to be told today that shes double booked. oh sorry, booked over ours as the others have more guests even though i had booked first. stay away from there, the service i recieved was shocking, in the end she put the phone down. Do not go here especially if you are a small party as they will cancel your booking to take a bigger one!!! Look on my previous posts and you'll see where it is!! In fact after the conversation today, to be fair i was quite understanding aswell, she even put the phone down!! Rude ***!

Sorry i'm ranting, its just it took her 3 weeks to tell us too!! they dont deserve business, if they do this to all their brides they will be out of business before they know it!!! Shame eh its going weddings only next year too!! Cant match Zucchini's though. haha

Any ideas would help though.

Sorry for the ranting girls, just very annoyed as i did have others as a back up but cancelled them when she said it was booked.

Romanitcas have a sister restuarant, you may want to try. When I wrote to them they were free on that date.

I've just got back from getting married & we stayed in paphos, we had our reception at the oleastro there was only 8 of us we arranged this with our wedding co ordinator when we were in cyprus. We had a lovely meal there was quite a few set menus to choose from but we had the one which was £19 cyp per head & we had a choice of veg soup or parmesan & rocket salad, the main course was a choice of lamb wrapped in mint, sea bass, chicken with mushroom sauce. sweet was a choice of fruit salad or cream mousse. The only thing out of the menu that nobody tried was the chicken & everybody loved the meal. The meal came with veg & gorgeous big roast potatoes. We also had my little boy who was 22 months & arranged for whatever food we wanted for him. We chose this restaurant because it was quite near our apartments which was the avanti village so it was easy for me to walk to with my dress on. I'm really sorry about what's happened to you, i do hope you get it sorted out. Where abouts are you staying?

we're stayin at the Riu Cypria Bay, but our guests staying elsewhere. theres only 16 of us, inc 4 kids. Yours sounds lovely. do the restaurant have a website? were you in a room on your own?

Had such a hassle with That other place, very happy its happened now though, she's so false and full of rubbish really (would say anything to get me to back down, when i didnt she hung up!), infact i had an email off her saying it was my sister in law she had been speaking to yesterday (my sister in law originally enquired) when she new fine well it was me!!

never mind, one person has already cancelled after this and found somewhere else.

Really happy that i dont have to put up with the shoddy service now and find somewhere professional in fact i think a party in cardboard box would be more classy than that place.
