We went there to eat for the last 5 days of our holiday and wished that we have found it sooner as the food was excellent.
I would highly recommend it, as the food and service were excellent at all times we were there.

They don't take direct bookings for receptions in order to avoid double bookings. All their bookings are handled by Jenny at Aphrodite Wedding Services.

ps And like many establishments in Pernera, Protaras and Ayia Napa, they will probably be closing November to March for the winter.
I need help can anyone tell me what they do when they have chosen a bridesmaid or bridesmaid my dilemma is i had one until yesterday which evryone knew about and now due to silly rumours she has turned me down, but i dont want whoever i ask to feel second best.
I am new to this site and am looking for some advise. I have just recently booked to get married in Capo Bay next Septmeber and will be using Jenny from Aphrodite wedding services. I have read excellent reviews on her service and i am sure she will do a fantasic job.
Just wondering if any of you have used Jenny's services before and what items would you recommend booking in the tick and pick package?
Thanks[/i][/b]
My suggestion would be if the person you really wanted does not want to do it for whatever reason then don't have a bridesmaid.
I am getting married at Capo Bay on 1st June next year and have decided not to have bridesmaids or ushers, we are just having a best man and that is it, one of the reasons for getting married abroad for us was to get away from all the fuss that goes witha full blown UK wedding. Keep it simple and fun and remember it is your day.
Enjoy

Hi i am just new to this site and was looking for some info from anyone who has married in the Grecian Sands Hotel in ayia napa. I'm getting married there on 09 May 2007 and was just really wanting to know what happens after you get married. I was thinking of a reception within the hotel, but wasn't looking to book a dj or anything. Was thinking of a cypriot style meal for our guest (there about 20 people coming). But what do you do after that.... any ideas? Also how long to civil ceremonies take, can you add your on vow's etc etc.
We gave them a call and our co-ordinator's name was Jenny she was fantastic she was always on the other end of the phone or email if we needed any help or to alter our arrangements.
When we arrived in Cyprus we met Jenny for the first time and all my aprehensions were put to ease as Jenny was so nice it was like we were all old friends and she had everything in hand the hardest thing i had to do was choose the flowers for the big day and Jenny and her team did the rest.
Our day was magical and it was all thanks to Aphrodite Wedding Services so if anyone out there was thinking of using a tour operator's service i would reccommend visiting there web site first to see the difference in service that you get. 100% personal service from start to finish so thanks for everything ladies

hiya, we've just booked up to get married in ayia napa next june, we're getting maried at the town hall in ayia, does anyone know what its like and can you get married indoors or out. does anyone have any photos please?
we got married g.sands hotel on 19 july 2006. we got married in the small chaple on the hotel grounds, had 17 guests and had our reception at the hotel.
after the wedding we were all taken to the hotel grounds to have some photos taken with the family etc. this took about 40 mins, but it depends on how many guests you have. then we all went back inside to the AC room where we cut the cake, had more photos take, had some nibbles and some think to drink. we talked to our guests for about 20 mins and then me and my husband were take outside to have more photos taken. our guest stayed in the function room. we were take onto the ground again and also on the rocks. not great in high shoes, but i coped ok. then we went back in and had a drink and chatted to the guest again. this was about 20 mins. then we were called to our table where we were having our sit down meal. we had it is on the veranda over looking the pool and sea. before habd the manager takes you around the hotel and he shows you the funtion room, menu etc. he was a great help. we had out meal about 7pm ish as we had a late wedding (5pm) so the sun was setting as we were eating, which was a nice.
defo book it at the hotel, and also book steve and jill to do you DVD. well worth it!
any more questions i can see if i can help
the civil take about 8 mins from start to finish

Hi Sarah, thanks for the reply it is very helpfull. Were are roughly having the same amount of guest. When you were looking at the menus, did they differ from whats on the Grecian Sands website.I was thinking of having a cypriot style meal? Also do you just get a bill for this or do know the exact prices before hand? Who did you book through, we have done it through Thomas Cook, and they have a package price for photographs etc, are there any others choice when you arrive in resort? Did you find the standard of the hotel ok, as i read some bad reports which is a bit worrying?
they only offered us what was on the web site. all were english dishes. we wanted a cypriot meal, but it would of ment leaving the hotel and finding a place local to the hotel, and i did not want to walk about in my big wedding dress! so to make our day easier and less stressfull we stayed at the hotel. the meal was great and everyone enjoyed it. we told the hotel manger how much WE had to spend per head and he said you can mix and match dishes from the different menus. so we knew how much it was going to cost it before hand, and how much the bottles are wine were going to cost us as well. we paid the bill when we were checking out a week later. but it is all broken down for you so you know what you are paying. the hotel is quick at replying to e mails, so why dont you e mail them and see how much per head it will be for a cypriot meal?! you can only ask. yeah, we booked thur thomas cook as well. they were really good. not a bad word. the wedding rep gave us her monile number so if we had any questions at any time we could call her. you have a meeting with the rep before hand and she goes thur everything at this point. we booked the top package for the photos and DVD. out of this world, for the little price as well. well worth it. steve and jill were great and they have been mentioned before on this web site. flowers and BM's flowers were quickly picked, and if you have your reception at the hotel they give you a cake to cut and eat. really nice as well. hotel was great. we had all our guests staying with us. even my 7 year of sister. dont worry about the hotel. location is great and the beach is just down a few stairs from the pool.
any more questions let me know

but keep going back and looking at capo bay so i probably will stick with that, like you said there are many satisfied customers!!!
we will probably go with the carvery!
thanks for reply
To all of you getting married at the Capo Bay, I would give you one piece of advice - don't panic! I was worried beforehand as didn't really know what was going to happen on the actual day and felt I hadn't really arranged anything, but please rest assure, everyone from your rep (our olympic rep Karen was great), Katarina at the Capo Bay (she is fantasic) and the Hotel have everything arranged for you before you arrive. I was amazed that the pilot congratulated us on the outbound and inbound flight and the rep who met us at the airport gave us a wedding welcome pack, great organisation by Olympic.
The ceremony is easy! Quite quick but still personal as we had a reading in between. The wedding officer was difficult to understand at times, did anyone else have the problem of understanding him say ' in happiness and unhappiness'?! They both sounded the same to us! Photos are fab - couldn't have asked for them any better - some great shots by the sea. Hair and Makeup - all organised really easily. Entertainment was ace - cypriot dancers followed by a dj (I would really recommend the cypriot dancers - they really got the party started after a large cavery - which was also great). We were married at 4.15 so the weather was lovely and the day flowed very nicely. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. We're very happliy married now, just depressed being back and having to start thinking about Christmas!
Some of our guests stayed in nearby apartments - the Alva Apartments (that is across the road from Capo Bay) and the Brilliant Apartments (5/10 minute walk up the road from Capo Bay). They were both really nice apartments and reasonably priced.
I have some pictures as jpegs if anyone wants to have a look, but again, I'm not sure how to post them on this site?
Good luck to all you brides (and grooms) to be. Our wedding and holiday/honeymoon in Cyprus were better than we ever imagined - I hope yours is too.
We're hoping to go back to the Capo Bay for our first wedding anniversary - did I mention the fab buffett breakfast and candlelit dinner for two at the Capo Bay - oh my raves of the Capo Bay go on and on.....

ps - I would also recommend having the DVD of your wedding ceromony, we weren't originally going to have this as I thought family will be videoing anyway, but we decided to - and so worth it - the professional DVD is great, really natural and romantic. It was arranged by the rep along with the photographer, and really worth having.
My daughter plans to get married here in September 2007. Has anyone married here and how did they find the hotel. Also can anyone recommend somewhere for us to eat after the wedding, also where can we get flowers, hair done, etc any help would be appreciated.
