Lillian,

I would recommend Studio Profilo, as I have worked with Petros many times & his work is unbelievable.

You can contact him at profilo@cytanet.com.cy & just tell him you were referred by Andria.

Hi girls, havent been on here for ages, back at work since maternity leave, awwh!

i NEED MORE HELP!! Now i had lots of trouble over the reception for our booked wedding 29th may 2007, riu cypria bay gardens. Since then everything has been ok, until last tuesday. 5 months since booking the wedding/hotel Olympic sent a letter to my travel agents saying we couldnt have the best room they offer (full sea view!! which we paid £448 extra for) as it wasnt big enough to hold a cot now. So they offered us a family room (which they dont offer in any brochure may i add, it must be a large cupboard i think!!! :? ) no sea view, no money back for the extra sea view we paid and to have a view looking over the road behind the hotel into the town  As you can guess i was very unhappy.

They have said i can have my money back and cancel the whole hol/wedding so i am now looking to stay with thomsons in the louis phaethon and have my wedding in the gardens here. anyone had a wedding with thomsons? I really need some pics of the outside of the phaethon for wedding setup. Please help, pm me some pics if poss!! i would be soooo grateful.

louise.

Louise, lots of our members have stayed at the Phatheon (including me lol, and hopefully they will be able to help with your query.

Unfortunately, I have only seen wedding parties leaving there, and not actual weddings on site.

hi, it's been a while since i've been on here, but all seems to be very quiet? i'm just wondering where everyone is at with organising their weddings? we have done the most important things, i think. we have the ceremony booked, we have booked the Rondavel beach bar for our reception, and i have my dress ordered. everything else should hopefully follow on quite nicely. (we get married in August)

hope all your plans are coming on OK.

Hi all,

What a friendly bunch you all appear to be. Hope you can help me!!

I'm due to get married at the Paphos Amatus Beach on 28th August this year. I haven't yet booked the location within the hotel as I'm torn between the Gardens & Gazebo (which I understand over looks the pool)? Has anyone been to any ceremonies in this hotel who may be able to give me some advice (or even send me some photos??)?

I'm also a bit stuck on whether or not to hold the reception in the hotel itself or looking for a restaurant in Paphos itself. Has anyone got any recommendations? There are 40 people attending so far, including quite a few kids and having seen the menus at the hotel, I'm not sure that they would be suitable (also heard that the drinks prices are extortionate too - fiver a bottle of water?).

Really excited about my big day :D Look forward to hearing from some of you.

Thanks

Sianxx

I dont think grecian bay does weddings - grecian sands or grecian park but i wouldnt goto grecian park - i got married there and the manager was horrid - he doesnt like weddings at his hotel unless you are a greek party of 100 plus or british or max 4

We got married at the Grecian Park in October 2004, I found the Assistant Manager very helpful and friendly after we had to change our wedding date and all reception arrangements to the day after due to family not arriving on time.

The staff, AM and Co-ordinator were brilliant and I couldn't fault any of them.

We had a party of 39 adults/kids. The management and Staff made us feel like our wedding was the first wedding they had at the hotel ... the AM even came down during our photo session and took a photo and had it sent to our room next day on a tray with our champagne breakfast.

Any questions please PM me.

At many weddings I have been to, the bestman and father of the bride have been the same and the groom usually has a different colour waistcoat or cravat.

However, I think it's purely a personal choice.

I thought that they all did what the bride tells them, just like the rest of Life.

furball,

At our wedding the suits were black. The Groom had an ivory/red patterned waistcoat and a red cravat. The FOB, the BM and Ushers had ivory waistcoats and ivory cravats.
