oh hayley, it all sounds so wonderful. thanks so much for your post as it puts our minds at ease to hear all these great reviews about the capo bay.it sounds like you had a day to remember. congratulations to you both.
my only concern is that mine is on july 10th and i know it will be sweltering heat to contend with. we chose the outside venue because we heard how beautiful it is and we are eating outside on the pavilion which is also supposed to be beautiful, but i'm hoping we will have all adjusted to the heat by then anyway.
just wondering if any of the new brides gave their guests any "favours", and/or does anyone have any tips/regrets
we would love to see some photos if any one has any. thanks.
Hi.....congratulations on your impending wedding.
As for a restaurant there is a wonderful restaruant just down the road where we had our reception. The Garden of Eden. Andreas the owner was wonderful we paid to have the seat covers put on for the reception and as there was 33 of us he sectioned part of the restaurant off just for us and played music for us. If you need any help then please just post back.
Thanks Nicola
Thank you very much for your congraulations.
We gave favours for the guests at our wedding. We matched our small gifts with our colour theme which was gold and cream. For the ladies we gave gold and cream bath pearls in a nicely presented box with a gold ribbon. For the men we gave them a scratch card in a cream envelope with a gold ribbon. I found it hard to think of someone for the men that wouldn't cost the earth and the scratch card idea was more as a novelty, but they were really pleased with them! It was pitty nobody won over five pounds though! We purchased everything in the UK beforehand and took them with us. I wondered if we could get cypriot scratch cards over there, but didn't want to end up with nothing - so opted for the UK national lottery ones.
You will give all the favours and table plan to Katarina the day before the wedding and she will set all the tables and table decorations for you in the morning. Our rep also arranged our request for helium ballons (again gold and cream) for the tables and two free standing ones for either side of the top table, they really made the pavillion look lovely - really worth having.
I know you will have a great wedding at the Capo Bay, there are so many weddings taking place each week but yours still does feel personal.
Any further questions - just ask! I'm happy to help!
Good luck with the plans.

I am a wedding co-ordinator on the east coast of Cyprus and have been for the past four and half years. I would be happy to answer anyone's questions relating to weddings in Cyprus as i know by my guests, that they have been quite stressed before they leave as they don't know enough information to put their minds at rest. This is one of the most important days (if not the most important) and it is absolutely necessary to feel relaxed, yet in control, especially when you are in a foreign country. So if i can help, please do not hesitate to ask.
i'm just wondering, really for those of you who are already married, what kind of shoes did you wear? i was thinking about a pair of open toes sandels, but have found a really nice pair in next, but htey havea closed toe. did anyone think about hte heat when purchasing shoes, or just go with what suits the dress?
thanks
kind regards
I got married september this year & i got some shoes from next (i work there so i got discount) they weren't open toe but my feet were fine & they were comfy considering i had them on all day. Good luck

i actually bought some shoes from nexy yesterday, they are a closed toe, so i'll have to suffer in the heat, but they couldn't be any more perfect for my dress. the colour matches exactly and they were only £25! even better!
thanks
Jenny
We got married on 4th Oct 2006 in Capo Bay Hotel, Protaras. We started our planning in Jan 06. We were a little aprehensive about using a company other than the travel agents, however then we came accross Jenny at Aphrodite Wedding Services. Well, what can I say...from the moment we asked for information and even up until now, Jenny, Trish and the team have been absolutely fantastic!! They sorted out absolutely everything!! The hardest part was deciding what you wanted. We cannot thank them enough for all that they did for our wedding. It was the best day of our lifes and they helped us make it so so special and personal. All our guests commented on how fabulous the day was and have not stopped taking about it...they thought it was a true 'fairytale' wedding. Everything was perfect! The photographer and florist were fantastic and really really helpful. We were so glad we booked the sunset also, as the photos were absolutely beautiful - we had to get the cd with all the photos, as we just could not choose! ha. The violinist was really romantic and gave that extra little touch whilst we were eating. The hourse & carriage...well... this was lovely, we really felt like royalty as we trotted around Protarus. And the dancers...this was great fun and really got everyone involved and got the party started...followed by the DJ, who was great too!! We could not fault anything at all, even the decoration and hairdresser, the girls did a fantastic job!
We were absolutely thrilled and so pleased that our day was organised by Jenny, Trish and the team - they truly know how to make things perfect and provide only but the best service by friendly and professional people. One of our guests was so impressed with the day that she has now cancelled her wedding day at home to have the 'perfect day' in Cyprus and will also book through Jenny.
I hope that the above information helps you to make a decision about your wedding and if your looking for help with planning your wedding, then Aphrodite Wedding Services are definately the ones you should choose. There is more information on their website -www.marriageincyprus.com or if you want to ask more questions, then I am more than happy for you to email me.
Good Luck with your planning,
Sian :-)
Congratulations on your wedding!! sounds like you had the most perfect day.
I am also getting married next year at Caop Bay and will be using Jenny from Aphrodite Wedding Services.
Just wondering how many guests the outside venue holds? We orginally had 15 guests this has now increased to 35 and still growing.
Thanks

Everything went to plan, the weather was a little unpredictable but it did not ruin my day.
I booked my wedding with Cyprus Dream Weddings and i can honestly say they did a brillant job everything was arrange to perfection, including ordering me another car due to the weather conditions changing.
The church is absoutley out of this world beautifully place to get married.
I had my reception at Vardas in Coral Bay with fantastic views to die for, that i book on my own and not with my wedding plaanner you get the best sunset pics at this venue and its will start to be an upcoming wedding venue. We had a lovely meat Cypriot Meze that i have not tried before which was really nice.Nothing was to much trouble for george the owner and the food is lovely with champagne for the final touch.
All in all i had a day to remember thanks to my wedding planner Larkis.Dementris the photographer and my dvd man who i forgot is name bless him. I also had a party when i got back for all my other family and friends who could not make it to Cyprus.
I only just made my party with the weather condition making us 23 hours delayed we ended up getting a coach down to Larneca and put up in a Hotel and all i was worrried about is getting my dress cleaned for my party,i made and had a truley magical night.
Heres the weddding pics and dont forget to put your speakers on enjoy.

I love my dress,i knew what style i wanted and with me not being well so close to the wedding i had two weeks to find it.
Ended up in Debnahams was 200 pounds then went down to 170 pounds in the sale, but the dress in my size had lipstick down it,so they ordered me a new one which arrived in the shop in 48 hours for the same price. What a bargin! Its my pride and joy and was perfect for the weather in Cyprus as am only little i did not want something so big and bulky i would of looked liked it wasdrowning me.
