Normally an hour less than everyone else - your tickets will tell you this but if you wish to know now, then ring the travel agent / airline that you are using.
thanks Spike
does anyone know if the Man to Goa flight nov 16th at 15.30 stops at bahrain
If it's the Monarch flight I would say no, the Thursday flight was direct last year, it was a 767 not an airbus and as far as I know it's the same this year.
Just looked on the BAA Gatwick arrivals and a Monarch flight from Goa due to take off at 3pm today is only just boarding
at manchester last week they were once again asking for proof of accommodation, but people we have met out here who flew from gatwick didnt, whats the difference? allan.

Hmm, this is quite worrying as im flying from manchester, but with MyTravel.
When you book flight only do you get an accomodation voucher as ive heard its illegal for the operator to sell you flight only without one nights accomodation?
Can anyone shed any light on this?
I am flying from Manchester with My Travel. The tickets came this morning and they say 1 night accom but dont say where. The tickets are actually from Direct Holidays. I rang up to ask for a voucher and was told they dont issue vouchers or accomm on flight only. When I said it was on the ticket that 1 night accomm was included he said that that 1 night was the night on the plane. He did confirm there was a Direct Holidays desk at Manchester airport. As my flight is during the day midweek I am hoping if there is a problem I can go to the desk.
Flew out from Manchester on 28th Oct with Monarch As last year they used an old Boering, three seats each side and one isle, it,s usually used for it,s short haul work in the summer. On arrival at Barhain we were told the stop over would be about 45min. Over two hours later the new crew strolled up and the eventual time hanging around was nearly three hours. The return on 12th Nov was no better we arrived at the airport about 10am. to be told that their was a delay of three hours on the Manchester flight but we were lucky as the Gatwick one was delayed till the next day ( actually we finished up nearer 4 hrs late,) the technical fault was the Captains seat had broken at Manchester! When we finally walked out to the airbus at Dabolim it had had a new paint job stating it had been voted Britains favourite tourist airline!!! So who's the worst? Alan
I too was on the same flights as Gramps - out on the 28th October and back on the 12th. The flight out was dreadful - an old B757 - it was a full flight and very uncomfortable! However the return was much better - an A300 that was not half full - there was alot of space to spread out - i had the middle three seats to myself to spread out on and my partner had the same. The service was also ok - we had paid for the extra leg room on the outbounnd flight - but that wasn't worth it as we were in Row 1. The stop-overs in Bahrain were a welcome relief - although i think that the 3hr delay on the outboud flight was due to a drunken fight on the plane. Luckily, on the return we were informed of the delay and remained at the pool for an extra 2 hours! We had friends on the Gatwick flight and they were not happy. I don't think i would recommend flying Monarch again - even the cabin crew admitted that you never know what you are getting!
Just been on Travel Republic's website ~~ they are offering flight only, 21 nights, Thomson out of Birmingham this Sunday for £269 inclusive of charges and taxes ~~ bargain.
we are going to fly out to goa this year via mumbai at the end of march.
As this is the first time i have a couple of questions that some of you guys maybe able to answer.
Flying out with BA anyone been with these guys recently, what they like i cant imagine that they are as bad as monarch but are they up with the likes of virgin etc.
Our connections to and from goa are about 4 to 5 hours apart. I assume this is long enough to get between the 2 terminals, read that its all a bit hectic.
Whats the facilities like at the airport, ie does it have a duty free etc or is it better to get your cigs and that in goa when returning. Also does it have somewhere to eat and whats it like.
And lastly if it dont take to long to get from one terminal to the other is there anything around the airport that is within easy walking distance rather than sitting around for a couple of hours.
Regards
Peter
I came out on BA nothing special, free drinks, movies etc.
you have plenty of time in Bombay to catch your flight, there are snack type places but keep as far away from the bar as you can Rs300 for a small beer.
smokes are cheeper in goa than duty free and on the flight, about £1 a packet here uk type (inported D/F from Thailand), local smokes are Rs240 a carton yes a carton and not bad.
Oh yes BA told me in Manchester and Heathrow that my cases where booked through to Goa, they where not, I knew that you have to clear customs and immergration at your first port of entry in any country.

Ok, so airlin network are pulling up 258 pounds return with qatar airways via DOHA. Quite happy with that, but just a bit curious because on our stopover on the way back there is only 40 minutes transfer time!!! Is this long enough to get the cases off and for them to move to the next flight to LHR??? Don't fancy missing my connectiona nd being stuck in DOHA for 24 hours...................cos then I would miss my next connecting flights to tenerife...................has anyone done this route before??
Also, can anyone give me an indication of the organisation of immigration in Mumbai?? How long should I be leaving before my connecting flight to GOA????
Thanks guys
Hi i am looking to book flights only to Goa next December please help any advise would be great, would prefer Gatwick/heathrow
Hi Nellie ive been trying to check flights for just after Xmas 2007 and many of the companies are only giving prices up until the beginning of December. Might be best to wait a month or so and check again, will probably have a better choice of lots of companies then.
Next question - re. dentist - are you booking Dr. Ambert in Calagute or do you have another source? thanks for your help
Goanne
