:) Does anyone know whether the Thomson flight from Birmingham 2.15 am Sunday is straight through? I can't believe I paid extra for Premium and they have no extra luggage allowance or later check in!!! I'll have to get my money's worth in alcohol!!

Hi Candy. We are on that flight and it is straight through as far as I am aware.

Hi.
We fly out next week at 2.15 am with Thompson ( direct), when we received our tickets there was no mention of our upgrade so we rang our travel agent who told us we were allowed 30 kilos baggage and later book in time, although it is not noted on the ticket it is on the computer at the airport they say.
we will take out less than 20 kilos each going out then check if we have the 30 kilos for coming back.

I checked with MyTravel today re cabin baggage size as someone told me it could vary with different airlines.

They quoted 56cmx45cmx25cm and said they always went with the ATA recommendation, so if they change the size then MyTravel will change the size to match.

It may be common knowledge but I thought I'd pass it on.

I know not a lot of people like flying with monarch(to put it mildely  ) but i dont really mind them, they're a means to an end, just dont like it when cabin crew are trying to get down the aisles and bump into you because its so small.
Ive always seemed to be lucky, we usually get a spare seat at the side of us, and my little lad is small so he doesnt take up too much room.

Im flying with MyTravel this time, does anyone know what the entertainments like with them? what films are showing, and what music is on the radio stations?

When i went to Goa this April i listened to the Coldplay album all the way there and all the way back, thats only because it was the only decent radio station on

Just found out that the flight im likely to be on in Jan is direct, so no stop over in Barhain Of all the times ive been to Goa which is over 5, we've always stopped either at Dubai or Barhain.
Im going to miss the stop over :( :(

Yip the flight is direct.

I thought I would miss the stop too but (apart from missing out on the duty free!) I think it's better. You know how you're just having a nice sleep then they make you get off the plane, and not only that but you need to take all your hand luggage with (just when you had your book, mag, mp3 etc arranged where you wanted them!) V. annoying.

I say get on the plane, have a drink, a meal then go to sleep!!

now i am really confused as the thomson website states
You may take one item of hand baggage (maximum dimensions of 55x40x20cm), plus one handbag, laptop computer bag or equivalent, into the aircraft cabin up to 10kgs.

The

yet all other info i read such as on here says laptops have to count as your only hand luggage???? any one know for sure, surely they have updated their website!!! :? if not why not!!!

Hi, anyone know if there are any different rules to bringing liquids back from Dabolim? We are on a charter MyTravel flight in December. I know the restrictions taking them out but was just wondering if it was any difference bringing them back.

Thanks.

:) You can't bring any liquids through with you in hand luggage, if you do they'll take them off you. You can buy at Duty Free, they leave them in the shop and put them out by the table just before you board. I came back 3 weeks ago - and am going again in 11 sleeps!!!! :fly

Thanks candy. What about small items like toilettries in the clear plastic bag as they allow from Gatwick? Any idea if those are confiscated? Only reason I ask is that my skin goes like an old piece of leather so it's nice to be able to take some moisturiser on board.

It would be better if you look at the site of the airline that you are travelling with, they have all different rules, today I have been comparing Monarch, with BA who we are travelling with, and compared to Monarch they are being very liberal. Its best to check.

BAA say you can take a container with no more than 100ml of cream or paste, provided it is carried in a sealable clear plastic bag. To avoid any doubt it might be best to buy what you need in the duty free, that way there should be no problem. Mind you who knows what they will let you take through at Dabolim on the way back.
