I'm off for a long weekend in Spain in the morning :hyper so I'll not be around to answer your flight questions until monday 11th June. It's my 30th birthday tomorrow :yikes (friday 8th June) so thought I'd treat myself. My turn to have a bit of :sun instead of all you lucky people.

If you have any questions, I'm sure the other aviation nuts on here will step in in my absence. If not, normal service will resume on Monday.

Happy flying and adios :glynis

Hello has anyone flown with first choice from gatwick to luxor, was wondering what kind of plane it was and if it was one of their newer ones with the 33" leg room, if not is it terribly cramped?

I booked the extra leg room seat's with thomson's for my last trip to luxor only to have some woman behind me complain to flight attendant's for the whole length of the flight that she had requested extra leg room seat's while in resort and why did we get them and she didnt - the attendants answer - they paid £100.00 in advance, she then went on to say how ridiculous it was telling everyone about her that would listen, i have never felt so uncomfartable on a flight before.

Even though she was no more than 5' and i'm 5'6 i still felt guilty but hated to spend 6 hours cramped on the plane then have a 7 hour journey back up to scotland.

Do taller people get annoyed when shorter people book the extra leg room seat's - i would book them again but i'm not sitting through 6 hours of complaining like that again - you could hear her rant above the movie.

suzie.

Hi there all,
Does anybody have an idea what the plane will be like for the Manchester to Cayo Coco - 12th July - 10am flight?

What films, food etc?

Are drinks free or do we have to pay?

many regards
Ian

My husband is 6ft 4" and I am only 5ft, but we always book and pay for extra legroom seats and I would in no way feel guilty sitting there if I have paid for them. You are a better person than me, because I would have told here in no uncertain terms to shut her mouth, you paid for the seats, she did not. If she wanted gauranteed extra legroom, then she should have paid for them.

Don't feel guilty sitting there, pay for the extra legoom on you next flight and sit back and enjoy.

I thought about telling her to shut up but knowing my luck i would have been arrested for air rage. I know i had the right to sit in them as i had paid £100 for them and an extra £20.00 to select the seats (i hate sitting on the wing of a plane) but it just made me wonder what everyone else thinks about people about people of average height booking the extra leg room seats.

suziesuze,

Your flight number is FCA594 and its operated with a Boeing 757-200. These aren't the 'new' aircraft I'm afraid so you'll have 28" seat pitch.

bananatyke,

Boeing 767-300ER. Have a look at my flight reviews for more info:

First Choice Airways Flight FCA048; Manchester (MAN/EGCC) - Varadero, Cuba (Juan Gualberto Gomez, VRA/MUVR), 3rd March 2006

First Choice Airways Flight FCA049 from Varadero, Cuba (Juan Gualberto Gomez, VRA/MUVR) - Manchester (MAN/EGCC), 17th March 2006

I had this going to Mexico too. I coped with it admirable. I just stretched out my legs and smiled at Mr Moanalot.

Thanks Dazbo for the information,

Just spent 20 mins reading your reports and we are quite looking forward to the flights

Is it too early to know what films are going to be shown or what the aircraft number is?

Many regards

bananatyke,

A couple more for you if you're interested. These are from the longest flight FCA operate from March this year:

MAN-PVR Via SFB, First Choice FCA012 14/03/07

PVR-MAN, First Choice Airways FCA013 28/03/07

They've taken their entertainment page off their website so you can't find out what they're showing now. As for the aircraft registration, they rotate them on a regular basis (6 of them) so its impossible to predict which one it will be. They're all fine anyway, its just pot luck if the skymaps work or not.

mobeckwith,

What would you like to know? The flight is showing as being serviced with a Boeing 757-200. These aircraft are configured 3-3 with 233 seats and ceiling mounted IFE. Seats are faced with a nice green leather. They're powered by two Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4 high bypass turbofans each producing 41,500 lb of thrust, proper rocket ships :)
Have a great time,
