MAN-LPA-MAN (TOM2350/1) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. If you mean the reg, it should be one of the G-BYAx.

Of the 6x former First choice 763's in the fleet, there's a slight variation as they have different original owners who specified slight difference to overwing exits etc.
G-OOAN (Boeing 767-39H/ER), built 1993, originally delivered to Leisure International Airways
G-OOBK (Boeing 767-324/ER), built 1995, originally delivered to GECAS (but ordered by Continental)
G-OOBL (Boeing 767-324/ER), built 1995, originally delivered to Alitalia (but ordered by Continental)
G-OOBM (Boeing 767-324/ER), built 1995, originally delivered to Continental Airlines
G-PJLO (Boeing 767-35E/ER), built 1992, originally delivered to Eva Air
G-DBLA (Boeing 767-35E/ER), built 1992, originally delivered to Eva Air
That's why there's slight variations.

Because of developmental and productions delays, the 787's aren't due to start being delivered until April / May 2011 now, the first one being airframe number 46.

thanks for that darren, very interesting facts, age apart those 767s are lovely planes hope the new dreamliners keep up the same comfort and quality
Going to Dominican Republic (MAN-POP), three of us are on TOM 122 on 4 Aug (returning on TOM 123 18 Aug). From a previous post this is an ex-Tomsonfly aircraft (2-4-2) and we have been used to ex-FCA (2-3-2) getting the three seats in the middle (suits us perfectly). How do I find out which aircraft it actually is?
What aircraft will be operating TOM196/197 from Manchester to Cancun will it be thomson or first choice.
thank you
nilawood
Welcome onboard
MAN-CUN-MAN (TOM196/7) are operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER (G-OBYI normally) at present. However I expect this will revert back to a former First Choice aircraft once things get back to normal after the swin flu problems, as was originally scheduled. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? thread.

thanks for speedy reply,
nilawood1,
Are you able to book your seats with Thomson in advance? We have booked to sit together, but not booked the actual seats. We are eager to do this, as we have a 7 month old son who will be sitting on our laps, and we are flying out on a 767 to Palma on June 16th, so being able to sit in the 2 seats by the window would be of big help to us, and less hassle to other passangers on board!
You can book specific seat number 4 weeks prior to your departure date at a cost of £5 per sector per person. Just give the airline a call.

Is there an online inflight magazine for Thomson as there is for Thomas cook?
I fly in 3 weeks and wondered what the ife is to Egypt?
Tom894 and Tom 895 ema - ssh.
I have managed to book seats 12d and 12 e, as extra leg room seats is this next to a door and will i be able to see out of a window on seat 12e?
Thanks.
TOM don't publish their inflight magazine online. If you look at it now, you'll not have anything to read inflight! There is a window on row 12, but you'll not get a particularly good view out of it. The seats on row 12D/E are inboard, ie there isn't a 12F as the emergency exit slide for the door protrudes in to the cabin, hence no 12F. The window is slightly back from row 12 and a seat width away from you so you'll not be able to see much out of it, and you'll almost be looking over your shoulder.

thanks darren, I know i will have to be patient but Im one of those that cant wait! the flight to me is the best part of the holiday! Sounds like i will have a crick in my neck all the way there. never mind though, 5 hour flight with my legs stretched is better i suppose! just one more question though, what do you do for a living is this a hobby or job? you really do know your stuff! Thanks agsin for all your help.
Many Thanks
I couldn't possibly answer that here! I like to travel (off to the Isle of Man for lunch on Monday!) and aviation photography pays for my diving while on my travels, I don't work in the industry.
Have a great holiday

Seat selection was an option up until about 12 months ago when the First Choice / Thomson merger was going through. Because of differences in aircraft, the facility had to be suspended. Now the aircraft fleets and internal systems have integrated, they reintroduced the facilty from May this year. MAN-LCA-MAN (TOM2334/5) are a Boeing 757-200 again this year so you should be able to ask for those seats although strictly speaking, it is a special needs seat and if anyone who fits the bill for it requests it, they'll have priority. It'd row 13, seat 13F specifically (seat plan here). Details of how to book them are on Thomsons website. You can also find the cheap rate phone number on Saynoto0870.
Darren
PS I've just noticed they've increased the select your seat price from £5 to £6 per sector
Star banana Darren... Thanks
