darbyrw,
Welcome onboard
MAN-SFB-MAN (TOM114/5) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? guide. IFE details will be released at the end of September. BY-TOM-AMM-FCA posted the menu on page 139.

At this time my family are chaning destinations as quick as i am eating hot dinners,
Rhodes is still on the agenda, but as is Sharm el Sheikh (brilliant deal, flights everything really at a really good offer),
Anyway am guessing the TOM0546/0547 is 767-300 and will be in Short Haul Configuration? (328Y etc)

Nick 1992,
That's correct, TOM546/7 are operated by a short haul / 328Y configured Boeing 767-304/ER.

Thanks so much for the quick reply,
Am guessing that it will have the overhead PTV'S. Anyway i should be greatfull its not a 757. I love the plane like, but have never ever been on any other aircraft when i go on holiday. Should be a change.

Nick 1992,
4 out of 6 short haul 763's have seat back IFE as they are former long haul aircraft reconfigured for short haul work. The other two have the usual overhead CRT screens (G-OBYF/H). They rotate aircraft regularly so I can't say if that flight will be one with seat back IFE or not at this stage. Things might change for the winter season, but that's the current position.

Thanks Darren - hope to get the IFE!!

They usually lease the non seatback aircraft out to other airlines in the winter, either to the far east or our scandanavian airline Tuifly Nordic. Infact the IFE is still branded Tuifly on G-OBYH
All the flights usually operated by 767's in the summer revert to 757's with maybe the exception of one or two flights a week across the entire schedule that fill the gaps so unless your flying long haul between November-March you will be on Airbus,737,757.

Thank you for that darren not going to pre book seats as it is going to cost us to pre book then extra to select a seat as well so will chance it ....
Could you also tell me we are having a meal do they usually put people at the front or back of the plane or does it not normally matter thanks
a judy,
Those with meals are usually grouped together at the front of the aircraft to make it easier to serve.

Darren Thanks for your reply.
This is one for BY-TOM-AMM-FCA I feel.
The whole family have just come back from our holiday to Florida (beggining of June). We were so impressed that my son and I want to return next year, but flight only as we found a cracking little beachside hotel on the Gulf coast. I even found a flight with a great price , TOM156 on 22nd April 2010. Just short of £1100 for both of us including Premium seats. However when I looked this up yesterday the flight was still there, though the price was up slightly, but no choice of Premium seats! Surely the premium seats have not sold already? Even the 3 alternative flights offered as similar to TOM 156 didn't give the Premium option. Or have Thomson decided to abandon Premium seats? I hope not, as the premium service was better value than Virgin or Continental Business Class. It was definitely offered when I first found the flight originally. Any advice / explaination please.

chrissfhl,
The premium cabin is still available on the flight but bear in mind most of the premium seats are allocated to package deals and only so many seats are available for flight only. If you want to go on a package deal, the premium upgrade is available at £189 per person. I suspect the seats available for flight only have now been allocated. They are better value than Virgin and Continental primarily because you are getting less for your money, particularly if you're comparing CO's business class product which is superior.

Hi,
Quick question: I flew back from Cancun on Tues on flight TOM 75 to LGW which was delayed however, the reason for the delay I thought was quite unusual. Flight TOM 74 which flew in from LGW arrived into Cancun bang on time however, rather than going back to Gatwick we were informed that this aircraft was going back to MAN. We in turn had to wait for the Man aircarft which was running late by 2hrs. Is it normal that a plane will fly out from 1 UK airport and return to another? The reason I ask is because of the delay which ended up being closer to 2hr30 we ended up missing our connection to ABZ therefore we incurred £260 in costs. I will possibly email tui if this is not a normal procedure.
Other than the delay I can highly recommend Thomson Airways. Premium seating and service fantastic!!
Thanks in advance.

martin82,
This is perfectly normal. Aircraft are rotated in this fashion in resort to position them in to different airports for maintenance reasons. It's easier to position aircraft like this than to fly them empty from say Gatwick to Manchester as it's cheaper and saves downtime. A lot of flights operate on a reciprocal basis, but some operate on these patterns to position aircraft. All airlines operate in this way.
