LGW-DLM-LGW (TOM852/3) are operated by a Boeing 767-304/ER (328Y / short haul). You'll find further aoircraft details on our What Aircraft? guide, including a seating plan.

Thankyou darren
Thought I would drop you line to let you have this info (you may have already). I was speaking to first choice this morning about my holiday booking for next year and as a by the way asked about 'selecting a seat', they confirmed what you had told me already approx 6 weeks before hand. However they have said that a new system is being worked on, and should be available on-line from October/November this year, where you can select a seat (Thomson used to do this I think).
Can you please confirm the reg is G-BYAU.
G-BYAU along with G-OOBD are operatiung out of BRS at the moment. Chances are, it'll be G-BYAU. Have a great holiday,
Darren
Thanks Darren and gower, i know i have asked alot of times and alot of questions but i think its just the build up to the holiday! getting excited!
Not sure if you saw my post Darren, but have you heard this info?
Sorry, I missed your post! This was expected (as mentioned last year!). Thomsonfly had online seat selection before the merger with First Choice. It was only suspended pending the merger and the telephone based system was re-introduced in May. It was only a matter of time before the online system was re-introduced and the logical time is the start of the winter 09 season, ie November. I suspect it won't be too long in the the future before they look at online check-in to mirror Thomas Cook's introduction later this year.

I'm flying from Glasgow to Paphos on 9th Aug 09, returning 16th Aug. Flight nos. TOM1706/1707
Could you tell me what type of aircraft this is likely to be as they can offer me extra legroom seats on the return journey in either row 12 or row 32 and trying to figure out which is best. There are 4 of us. thanks in advance
Am flying MAN-PFO with Thomson next weds 5th August (TOM2316) - I notice there are two flights out that morning - mine being the earlier one.
Is mine the 767 or the 757 - just want to sort out seats.
Thanks
R
Thanks in advance Chris
thanks Shanti
Welcome onboard
GLA-PFO-GLA (TOM1706/7) are operated by a Boeing 757-200 (winglets). You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide. Extra legroom seats are indeed located at rows 12 and 32 on this type. You'll find a seating plan linked on the aircraft guide. Row 12 are in pairs whereas row 32 and in 3's.

MAN-PFO-MAN (TOM2316/7) are operated by a Boeing 767-304/ER (328Y / short haul). You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? guide. Some aircraft now have seat back IFE as they are former long haul aircraft converted for short haul use (4 out of 6 aircraft).

BHX-PMI-BHX (TOM7520/1) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. It's too early to know which specific aircraft will be operating out of BHX as they are rotated on a regular basis, most are Thomsonfly aircraft though. The aircraft come in late on thursday evening or the small hours of friday morning from Arecife, Dalaman, Heraklion, Palma and Sharm el Sheihk and night stop before going out again friday morning so plenty of time to absorb any delays.
Darren
thanks alot appreciate the fast response. Would it be ok to ask you nearer the time for reg numbers or is it difficult to find out. Do they tend to be theolder 757-200 operated from bhx i can see on the fleet that some are over 17 yrs old.
Thanks again
They rotate the fleet regularly for maintenance reasons so it could be any one of a number of aircraft. They don't base specific aircraft at airports. The specific registration doesn't make much of a difference really as all the Thomsonfly aircraft are identical, and all the former First Choice aircraft are identical. The only differences between the two are the colour schemes, ie the Thomsonfly aircraft have dark blue leather seats and the First Choice green leather. Seat pitches are the same although the Thomsonfly aircraft have newer generation slimline Recaro seats fitted that have slimmer frames and the seat pockets at the top of the seat so they give you a bit more knee room. TOM aircraft have CRT screens while some of the FCA have LCD. Although some of the aircraft are getting on a bit, they are very well maintanced and great aircraft to fly on. Proper rocket ships! They have retired a few of the older aircraft this year, one of which has gone on to pastures new as a cargo aircraft with Fedex and some transferred to other airlines or scrapped. We can let you know what registrations are operating out of BHX if you ask the day before.
