that risky an activity???
Has anybody any recommendations for insurance that covers cruises? I've had a couple of quotes and the premium rockets as soon as you mention you are going on a cruise. Is it
http://www.nationwide.co.uk which I'm sure includes cruises.
In fact I have just called them on 0500 302016 and they confirmed that their policy does cover cruises. You can get a quote online HERE

Does anyone know of a decent insurance provider who offers camera insurance - our two cameras cost £1000 each or nearly and that goes over the item limits on most insurers travel policies.
I believe you can cover them on your household contents policy if you pay the extra to cover items away from the home. The single item limit on my policy is £1500.
I phoned Argos for a quote and they confirmed that cruises are covered in their standard policy. The premium was reasonable as well - over half the price Thomsons wanted to charge!
Thanks
On my annual travel insurance, all I have to do is inform them if my holiday lasts longer than 31 days. Maybe it will be the same for you. I would ring them first incase you just have to pay an extra fee, It would be cheaper to do that than buy a new policy. Denny

Hi lashman - we go to Tunisia for 6 months every winter and always book the insurance with Direct Travel. There may be a cheaper company around, but we have never found one. If your home insurance includes goods away from home, you have the option to exclude that which makes it even cheaper. It is so simple to get a costing on line - and book if you want it. If you do, the paperwork is I am having problems getting holiday insurance fully covered for myself> having had heart stents inserted. Can any fellow peeps offer advice. Many thanks
You will probaly need to talk to specisialist broker. More then will cover you for a price, but if you don't cover for the heart problem and any other problems, you will be able to get cover excluding any medical condistion at a low rate. Esure is another I find who give reasonable rates. I have a few medical conditions and more than cone in at £70 and because I didn't want them covered the price come down £33 for 2 adults and 2 children for 7 nights break in europe.
try the british heart foundation i think my mother got insurance
A friends mother has just got cover from Medicare. She has had replacement heart valves and is over 70,not many other companies would insure her.
I would definitely suggest trying a broker - mine saved me over £100 on the best quote i could find, including their £20 fee.
I have just got insurance for my husband as he has heart problems. I got it from Freedom. It cost £60. I tired another one and the quote wa £156
She wants a annual policy for just herself (individual), she would only want it for europe (spain + tenerife), with cancelletion, and baggage.
Any suggestions, would be great, I have tried looking myself, but when it comes to medical conditions, a lot of insurer's are asking to contact them by telephone for a quote.
Many thanks, BBB
http://www.insureandgo.co.uk now and they cover him at no extra charge as did marks
and spencer when i used them but you would probably find it easyest to find the most comprehensive cover for the best price then contact them to ask whether there would be an extra charge for her condition .
good luck

try marks and spencer BBB . they are pretty good with medical conditions. but I think where medical conditions are concerned you do generally have to call. I have to cover my sons medical condition (he has bladder problems and also had epilepsy as a child which still has to be declared) I use and spencer when i used them but you would probably find it easyest to find the most comprehensive cover for the best price then contact them to ask whether there would be an extra charge for her condition .
good luck

Most insurers will ask you to call for medical screening. It doesn't mean that it won't be covered, the Nationwide covers mine and hubby's pre-existing conditions, but they need to speak to the person concerned before they decide. They could also provide cover which excludes the condition.
There are loads of recommendations on Page 1 of this topic.

Hubby also suffers from diabetes, plus other health problems. But he has just booked annual travel insurance with firm called Endsleigh. He's not around at the moment to ask him costs, or phone numbers, etc, but I know he was delighted with them as they include the USA in their cover which can often greatly inflate prices. Will try and post any further info tomorrow morning.
