Hi Guys
We are just back from getting married in Limassol and have to say it was absolutely superb!! I would highly recomend it to anyone. We booked through Airtours but most of the work was arranged through Evelyn at Cyprus 4 Weddings.
Evelyn was great and even helped us when our son contracted chickenpox on our 2nd day.
Our photographer was "George" from the Pink Panther and he was brilliant plenty of photos taken(about 250) very hard to pick only 60 though!!(no chickenpox in sight once he had worked his magic)
We stayed at the Hawaii Grand and the staff there are first class as is the hotel. Automatically upgraded to half board and a sea view! free beauty treatment and champagne breakfast. As i said our son had chickenpox but the hotel staff were always asking how he was and bringing him breakfast in bed if he wasnt up in time for breakfast.

All in all a wonderful holiday and great day!!

Yes we are having our wedding and reception at the capobay.

We booked ours through jenny at aphrodite wedding services. We are very pleased so far with all the help we have had, jenny is very efficient, and a lovley lady, ive spoken to her on the phone and by e mail, and she can'nt do enough for you. Their have been loads of reports on here about her i hav'ent heard a bad one at all.

We told jenny when we would like to get married, and she came straight back to us with 3 dates to choose from, she booked the one that we wanted, simple, we new our date within days of speaking to her.

We are having 24 photo's in an album £200 cyp, however, this migh'nt change when we see them, as we have been told their is so many to choose from and they are said to be absolutley fab. We have booked a dvd also which is £175 cyp, and a horse and carrage for after the ceremony, so we can chill and take everything in, plus photo oppertunities, before we go back to our guests and the reception. This was one of jenny's suggestions, and we thought it sounded perfect.

As for my make-up, im hoping to have it done out their, however, im taking my own too, just in case, but im having my hair done definatly, have'nt made my mind up yet on nails, i may get them done before i go.

hope i have'nt bored you too much with our plans i do tend to let it take over, sorry.

We are new to this site, but have been reading all the wonderful things about the capo bay, we are getting married and holding our reception at the Capo Bay on the 31st August, were so excited and cant wait, only 9 days now.

We were wondering if anyone could give us some advice on were to go for photographs & Videos to be done. Also i was wanting t have my hair done on the wedding day also, any ideas of were to go ?

Has anyone else been married recently at this hotel, and what was your day like?

Im flying out to Cyprus i 6 weeks to get married. We have booked with First Choice and will be staying at the Athena Beach Hotel in Paphos.

So far First Choice have been fab but the only thing is they said that they cannot actually confirm our wedding date until we are in resort, we had to pick 2 dates & they will try our best to accomodate one of these dates. I suppose i dont mind so much but it's when people ask what date you are actually getting married and you give them two possible dates they look at you like you are mad.

The only big worry i have is my dress, i so desperatley wanted to take it as hand luggage, but with all the goings on over the last few days i doubt i will be able to do that. Guarenteed i will spend the whole flight fretting that my dress is actually on the flight.

Has anybody else manages to transport a dress succesfully in the hold???

Would be great to hear from anyone with any views, suggestions.

Where are you actually marrying Mandy ? Hotel, Town Hall or Church ?

If you pack your dress seperately, FC will mark it as fragile for you. There are many people who have transported their dresses like this.

Have you looked on the Paphos Post site - loads of tips there.

Hi Everyone! Well my friend got her date and time and then she found out the other day the travel agent (through Libra) booked a civil ceremony, she had requested at the time of booking - a religious ceremony!

The travel agent is not being helpful and telling her she has to pay admin fees for the change etc.

I have said to my friend to call Libra directly and explain and see if they can help sort it. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I just wanted to let you know that we're getting married in paphos in 2 weeks time, we booked through first choice & was also told that we couldn't find out the date we were getting married until we got into to cyprus. we also are getting married at the town hall. I emailed the wedding co ordinater last week & they confirmed that we're getting married on the 6th of september at 1pm at Yeroskipou Town Hall. We thought we were getting married at paphos town hall but i think you can get married in any of the town halls in that area, i'm actually glad they've chosen this one as we can get married outside & there's meant to be sea views. I would email the wedding team & they should be able to help. My dress also is going in the hold i wouldn't worry to much alot of people have travelled with it this way. i'll let you know how it goes & don't worry.

Not long until you go, are you excited?? (Silly question really) What hotel are you staying in?? Are you staying for 2 weeks??

I still feel like i have a billion and one things to organise, i really wanted an open top car for my H2B and myself to travel in & i was thinking about getting the fun bus for the other guests, does anybody have any ideas of the prices?? Or even if they have an open top car in Paphos as it all seems to be the white or silver Mercedes.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.
