Marcuschap, the folks who run the restaurant in Derby are really friendly and have created a nice atmosphere. I've only been twice but my friends who live in Derby eat there every couple of months and they remember them each time! I was admiring the posters they have on the walls and it was great knowing I'd visited most of the places!!!! Complemented the chef on his excellent food, bought the feta cheese and I'm having a greek salad tomorrow!

Just back from Ios where the food was FANTASTIC! Very fresh and very authentic.
Love everything, but especially the dish of huge white beans in a tomato sauce...don't know what it's called. And it has made me rethink my use of spinach. I only use it now & again but am going to add it into more dishes.
But the QUEEN :love2 of all greek menus is for me the most common.... the Greek salad................it just cannot be beaten. I could eat it every day!

I love the beans (Gigantes - i think?!), they're gorgeous with a bit of feta crumbled over the tomato sauce :love2!
God i think i've got to visit Steliana and Saphos again soon - i've missed out on my early trip to greece this year and i'm getting withdrawals...Saganaki, tzatziki, greek salad, moussaka, the lot. mmmmmm!!

Stuffed tomatoes and peppers, dolmades, gigantes, baklava, saganaki.....

all of it!!

Had a great Greek restaurant over the road from me in Glasgow (Konaki), and am moving to Liverpool next month so will be harassing Sallybear to tell me all about the restaurant she goes to there.

Nothings ever as good as the real thing though, taverna on the beach, sunset, a nice greek wine.....

Really wish I could afford a holiday this year!!

Hi,
Any advice on going to Meteora from Skiathos.
Is it too much for one day or is it best to organise an overnight stop in the area?
