We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.
We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby
Keep away please.

we arrived near the end of the season so there was a big push from the stallholder to sell as our second week the resort was becoming a ghost town .rep told us 200 of the250+ hotels where closed by end of september.tours where going if enough people booked or just did not run, we still had a second week and flights where still coming out.got some good bargins but would have liked to see resort fully open.

this resort is most definately not suitable for wheelchairs or people with walking difficulties.there are far too many hills and potholes.the beach looked very nice and clean.

We were here on the last week of the season and had an absolute ball. When we landed at the airport it was howling a gale and lashing with rain, i thought the pilot had done a u turn and taken us back to Glasgow. First big laugh was on the bus from the airport. The local rep guy was giving us the old howdy do speech. Welcome to Bulgaria as you can see summer is over and on your left is the Black Sea but as it is dark you cannot see it. We were in stitches and the poor guy was being dead earnest.
The resort was clean and tidy but really there was not much for them to clean, the prominade and Flower street was about it.
There was some fantastic bars and food joints to be had in the resort. Best of the bunch for me was La Bamba, the food was great and they had a terrific rock band that played every night. I got so enthusiastic that they had me up to sing a couple of songs, thanks fellas, its my kind of music. Was singing in the Hawaii bar too, where there was great food and much cheapness of beer!
The touts trying to get you to go into their respective bars may seem pushy but if like me you give them some banter and have a bit of a laugh with them they get to know
you and dont hastle you.
Some of the back home style bars were predictable in their approach, if i wanted football and pie n chips i could have stayed at home.
Went to the beach once, bit cold but stunning to see.
As i said it was the end of the season but can imagine it really crowded in high season.
If your going be aware of the silent golf buggies that race up and down, man i was almost run over and i'm not hard to miss.
Your holiday is what you make it and we certainly made it a great holiday, unlike the moaning crew going home, not the right beer, not the right food,if you dont like it stay at home. Will definately be back, maybe not so late in the season though. Go on give it a try whats the worst that can happen.

Apart from the hotel Sunny Beach was actually very nice, just be careful out at night & stick with your group. I dont think its advisable to be out alone as we did see some women trying to grab single men up lanes or onto the beach at night, but they were trying to pick-pocket them at the same time.

The resort was pretty much what i expected, lively, with lots to do. The resort was generally tidy and the beach was pretty clean. Plenty of shops selling all sorts of things. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. If your looking for really traditional bulgaria, you wont find it here, but if you want somewhere to relax and have a good time then sunny beach has it! There is a bit of something for everyone. If you want loud music and dancing, you can find it, if you want a quiet drink with traditional music in the background, its there if you look! Personally i like something in between, and we found plenty of that here! :)

The resort is good for beach or pool holidays and offers the usual holiday beach activities such as parasailing and banana boat rides etc.etc. the beaches are uniformed and a fee of 6 lv per sunbed is payable. there are the usual annoying "looky looky" people selling over prices things on the beach too.
The resort has a long promanade running the full length of the resort from north to south packed with bars, restruants, and small shops packed with tourist tat. Drinks here can be 2 times more expensive that the other bars so be aware. However its a great place to people watch. There are many organised bar crawls that can be found so be prepared to be surrounded by up 200 young drunk teenager at a moments notice.
Wide range of activities is you require fun on an evening ie. Bungy jumping etc.
Certainly a lack of rubbish bins in the resort and there is litter cast over the pavement from overflowing bins.
Exchange bureaus are all over the resort but in my opinion take your bank card to the nearest ATM the bank rate is far better.

SUNNY BEACH is a wonderful place suited to anyone. There are enough things to do here. Blue flag beaches with life guards all along the beach and they always warn you if you go too far out. The green yellow and red flag system operates on this beach for strength of waves etc.

although resort very busy & clean most entertainment was for the younger generation, mainly night clubs & disco's, we found the local stall holders & shop keepers, to be very unfriendly towards us, when booking our holiday we were told things were very reasonably priced, we did not find that the case, most stalls didnt bother to price the merchandise & just chanced that you would give what they asked for, beach really good, a must to visit, that & the weather the only two good things about the holiday, we cetainly would never return here again
