All rooms are good, but the pool side is best. the hotel food is very good and has a great choice to choose from.

We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.
We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .

Keep away please.
No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby

The resort itself is okay. It is purpose built and totally geared up for tourists and has nothing traditional about it. All there is is hotels, apartments, bars, restaurants and tourist shops/stalls. To be honest, I’m fine with that, as all I wanted was 2 weeks to chill out away from work, and I was pretty aware of what it was like before we went. If you want any “culture” either go elsewhere or be prepared to pay for trips.
All in all, a good relaxing break in a good hotel. I would definitely consider going back to Sunny Beach and back to the Mena Palace.

The locals were very rude and i felt very unwelcome. I would not return to Bulgaria again and would prefer to pay more and be treated well. I was quite disgusted as they rely on tourism. The centre has plenty to do as i compare it with Blackpool with candy floss sellers,5 mcdonalds etc.. if you fancy this. Personaly i dont but just up the road in nessebar is a beautiful bulgarian village with cheap shops and lovely retaraunts. Well worth going there. The water park is also very good.My kids loved it

Very clean, bars are cheap especially local beer at 40p pint in most.
Entertainment quite good, some excellent bands play in the bars at night, varied stuff some pop, classic rock (Eagles etc) country.
Beach clean, Sunbeds and shades are 7 lev each ( about £3)

Sunny Beach was generally very clean despite the masses of people there. The beach is cleaned every night ready for the onslaught of people the next day. This is a resort for 18-30's so unless you are right in the centre the early evenings are fairly quiet. The beach is also quiet until around lunchtime when they surface from the night before. The many bars on Cacao Beach are banging out the heavy bass sounds of house music all day, It is impossible to hear what the music is, just the constant boom boom of bass which is really annoying and after a few days really does get under your skin! There were loads of jellyfish in the sea and I got stung once, nothing serious, it felt a bit like a nettle sting and was gone in a few hours but it did make me look a bit more carefully when swimming. The restaurant food is very good out of the centre, we had a chinese sweet and sour chicken in the centre one night and were both very sick after. I had read reviews of other people being ill on chicken so I guess this is quite common. I have to say that the beach, climate and sea were absolutely lovely as was nearby Nessebar, the rest, well it was quite cheap!

I would go to Bulgaria again......was jealous of some of the great looking hotels available.....the beach is lovely and kept very clean and the resort had everything you need in terms of shops, food and bars.... You just have to put up with people pestering you to eat in their restuarants etc

Very Good About 6 Beggers No Picket Pockets. Beach Very Nice Just Take 20 Lev Out its 5 Lev Pair Sunbed Restraunts Lovely i Recmend The White House , Bestro Billys, Chinese Place Shops Very Good. Don`t Go To The Toilets They Charge You 1 Lev Per Person! Entermaint Very Good Nice And Cheap Hope This Reveiw Has Helped!

Resort was average re cleanlieness with plenty of restaurants but entertainment was varied but totally let down by the poor, poor, poor standards of the hotel

Brilliant. Plenty to do. Many shops, bars and restuarants which offer many variefys of food. Only bad thing to say about resort is people begging for money and the constant dodging of Golf Carts, Taxis, Horses and Push Bikes on the main strip foot paths!

we found the resort very good.plenty of shops and bars/restaurants with the oppurtunity to eat and drink at a different one each day. we found the price of beer to be between 0.89 levs to 3.50 levs. food to a good standard at most places would recomend to try the havana,the house and azurro which gave good value for money. nessabar well worth a visit. beaches clean though expensive for umberella and sunbeds at 7 levs each per day.
