We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .
Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby
Keep away please.

Down side was area was much more built up than I was led to believe. Pavements were diabolical and traffic could be really busy. Main road outside hotel could be dangerous for kids to cross so always made sure I was with mine. When downpour happened this caused a lot of flooding and meant walking through massive puddles to get to toen centre. Plenty of shops and stalls, all selling smae fake goods, got a bit too much..Plenty of nice places to eat although prices could vary a good deal. Djannys was the best for value and Neptunes for entertainment. Arizona had a good live band too. Only saw two beggars in our two weeks and no dancing bears ! Kids loved Bungees and kids inflatables. Would perhaps go again although if in Euro next year it will certainly not be as cheap.

First off all let me say that the weather in balgaria is not gauanteed we had two days of storms that left the roads a meter deep in water and impasable, and our hotel flooded to boot, and this was the begining of july we also had a few days that were over cast and windy so beware. I WAS ALSO ROBBED ON MY FORTH DAY SO PLEASE IF YOU DO GO THERE DO NOT EXCHANGE MONEY IN THE STREET WITH ANYONE GO TO THE CROWN EXCHANGE KIOSK ONLY THEY ARE STATE RUN BUT DEFINETLY NOT OUTSIDE IT, THATS WERE I WAS ROBBED. i was stupid enough to exchange money in the streat outside my hotel, but outside one of these crown offices so i thought he was part of that company and before i knew it the rat swiched the notes, i ended up with old yugoslavian bank notes, i gave chase but he was off, it was only sixty pounds but could have been a lot more and apparently it happens all the time. At the hotel the rep said that they could do nothing and the police wouldnt come to the hotel to deal with it. but They didnt mind stopping to chat and laugh with prostitutes that frequent the hotel later on. I asked why they are not putting in place measures to prevent this happening, the rep said they could not intefere and if they try stop these scam artists they will be shot. There is a lot of organised crime here and you are aware of that at times.. apart from that This resort could have been anywere, there was nothing about it unique or special just hotels and beach. it was just another holiday resort. it was clean and there was lots to do during the day if you didnt mind paying through the nose for it BALGARIA IS NOT CHEAP an average main course will set you back £5 and there is no childrens menu in most places so you are forced to by a large portion. coke is a £1. Beer was horrible and always warm, and i can usially drink the local brands anywere as i drink shandy and was £1.20 a pint, I just drank imported, if you drink spirits or cocktails they will be watered down and cost more than back home. and the service everywere was slow, and although the people were not exactly horrid they werent exactly friendly either and they think we are all millionaires. a tip is also expected for everything... we did however meet some nice people who made our holiday more pleasant so i thank them for there kindness and smiles everyday.. there will be a big difference in prices for people who have been there before 2006.. and for others be warned its not cheep They have no safty regulations anywere and when you have children that is quite important, they will hire mopeds, motor bikes, and golf carts to anyony any age without parantal concent and they are not cheep either i dont know how many 10 year olds i saw wizzing past on a high powered mini motor bike i was realy shocked. the Beaches are well manned with life gaurds all along it. they are very strict about no swimming on red flag days wich were quite a few while i was there. the beaches are clean but they still allow jet ski's etc to opperate quite close to the swimmers, there are lots of bars and restraunts on the beach but there more expensive and will all charge you 20 pence for the toilet even if you are eating and drinking there, and that includes little children as well and beleive me they will insist. BEING CHARGED FOR THE LOO i have got to say was enough of a reason for me never to travel to that part of balgaria again.. there is very little entertainment at night and being there during the world cup didnt help i hate football, it is all bands playing the same easylistening music in restraunts and thats about it and definetly nothing for children or young teenagers....

We did enjoy sunny beach. I prefer to be on the south side nr nessebur as a little quieter but in easy reach of the centre.
Seemed clean and friendly every where we went and some of the bars are a great novelty.
Food and drinks cheap which make eating out and socialising a pleasure.
Beach is beautiful and hotels usually good although worth checking reveiws before booking.

The resort tends to have a lack of bins, but is pretty clean.
Entertainment is usually the same sort of thing in most bars, a duo with a key board or kareoke. We was there when the world cup was on & most places showed the main games. Which as long as you like football you are coverd but if not there is no escaping it.
The beach is kept very clean & there are life gaurd post about every 100 yards. Plenty of water sports for the more energetic. The jet skis were fantastic.

My wife and I visited Sunny Beach in June 06, the first thing that struck us was the size, miles of clean sandy beaches, hundreds of bars, clubs, resturants, and hotels.
It"s not a resort for those who want peace and quiet, the resort as a whole is clean, not up to European standards, public transport is basic, you will find beggars on the streets.
Only change your money in hotels or beauraus with the crown sign (please).
Most of the resturants sell excellent food and the bars usually have a good selection of beers and wines, make sure you agree a price before you get into a taxi, never let the driver dictate to you, they ask for a high price expecting to be knocked down! Don"t be shy knock them down.
Sunny Beach is not the South of France, don"t expect it to be, but if you"r sensible you will have a great time and with the amount of happy hours all night it won"t break the bank.
I will be visiting this resort again and would recomend it to those who enjoy good beaches food and wine, but not to those who want a quiet holiday.

Resort was great and just what we were told about and expected.
The beaches were cleaned every night. The restaurants were plentyful with loads of tastes catered for. The bars were lively with live entertainment. Nightclubs if you wanted one.
Nessebar was a very romantic place to visit with all the old ruins. Had great fun visiting all the elaborate hotels at the far end of the beach with their animal print chairs and fancy gold ceilings.
A beautiful place with lovely, friendly people and an atmosphere that will put even the most stressed at ease.

i travelled with my parents brother and two of my friends we arrived near midnight but decided to go out to the clubs we had to order a taxi to get to the clubs as it was so far away the clubs was allthe nightlife there was really.and you had to pay to get into the clubs 5-10e some say ladies free before 12 but you would have to remind them!
the beach was 5 minuts away from the hotel but you had to walk along a "wooden walkway" more like a load of loose planks thrown down
the town itsself was ok the food wasnt great but there were loads of pizza places the best one called"pizza"
in the town you could rent mopeds and golf caddys and electric scooters to travel around on these were great fun but very dangerous as they would let 10 yr olds on them
the shopping was not near as cheap as we were lead to believe and the quality was not great a trip to moore street before you go would be better and just as cheap
the resort at night was full of prostitutes who would bring guys to the beach girls as young as 16 walking the roads with their pimps following
during the day beware of the gypsies as they will rob you blind and they will rob anyone! the prostitutes also were pickpockets.
knives and guns and swords are all available on the street to anyone who wants them..not exactly safe eh?
dont sit or stand on the grass as you will be given a fine of 60e we got one and when we went to the police station we witnessed a young girl coing out after being abused by police and tourists being brutally beaten by police! shocking!
