All rooms are good, but the pool side is best. the hotel food is very good and has a great choice to choose from.

We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .
Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby

We spent two weeks in Sunny Beach, it has to be one of the most unrelaxing holidays we have ever experienced. On first impression (day time), it appeared lovely, lots of shops, restaurants and clean beach. However, this changes in the evening, the beach front becomes a heaving mass of people, leaftlets are constantly thrust at you advertising bars and restaurants, you are constantly being invited to eat at different establishments. Our hotel dinner was not good, we also had difficulty finding somewhere we really wanted to eat from the wide choice of restaurants, all seemed to offer the same, we like to partake in local dishes, found this hard to determine with pizza, pasta, kebabs, chinese etc being all that seemed to be on offer. Lots of shops selling fake designer gear, paradise you might think, yes, if only they would let you browse instead of pouncing on you the minute you dared stop and look. We found this very off putting and would not stop. The hiring of golf carts and electric scooters needs to be seriously looked at, we spent our evenings constantly watching our backs and dodging these nusiance vehicles being driven by youngsters and adults alike, they would sneak up on you because of silent engines, they would beep horns at you, there was no where to go as the places was so mobbed with people, not fun! The beach during the day has plenty space is really clean, however you are are charged per sun lounger and parasoll, so it could prove costly overall if you were to go on the beach everyday - it cost us 18 lev each visit to the beach, and it does not matter what time you arrive, be it 10am or 4pm, you are charged the 6 lev per item. Sunny Beach is cheap, busy, lots of english food available, lots of bars with buy one get one free offers. This is probably the next 18-30 big time resort, not for couples looking for a slow paced relaxed holiday. If you like Ibiza, Tenerife and such places, go for it, if you like the greek islands - think twice before booking.

A good thing is that it's not all loutish brits; there's a nice mix of Scandies, germans, bulgarians, russians and a few I couldn't figure out. You get warned off the exchange places. If they have the Crown symbol, they're fine. The hotel actually had the worst exchange rate. Sunny Beach has got loads of great little stalls and shops and SO cheap! The people aren't pushy but they do come and say hello and ask you what you're looking for, so what! The restaurants are all quite similiar (were not talking gordon blue here..) but a 2 course, very appetising meal with a bottle of plonk and there's change from a tenner! Waiters 'encourage' you to go into their restaurant with a smile and a menu in hand, so what! It's all in good humour. Day time beach activities cover everything you have ever seen anywhere else. Night time too, loads of bars, some inside, some for people watching, night clubs and discos. There's a few adult clubs with very attractive but bored looking pole dancers. In summary, this is a new resort that seems to have taken the best from the worn out european package holiday destinations like Mallorca and the costas and hit the ground running. I will definitely go again next year. I have never said that about anywhere in Europe before. Hope this helps.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed in the Sunny Beach resort, it was exceptionally clean. There were no cockroaches or little insects running around the floor! The entertainment in the resort was very good, bars are open 24 hours a day and most offer buy one get one free on cocktails and local spirits, there was a Chipendale style act called Maximus which is very popular with the ladies but don't worry guys there a plenty of lady shows if you're feeling left out! The shops sell very very reasonably priced merchandise and have some great ideas for souvenirs for the family. The beach is very clean and very large and has plenty of little snack vans around it if you get hungry or thirsty, you can also have a massage done on the beach! The restaurants have very cheap prices and there are many different types, from steak houses to chinese even to MacDonalds! If you're going to Sunny Beach you have to taste a crepe from the sweetcorn and crepe carts. The banana and chocolate one is absolutely delcious! The doughnuts are also very tempting! We would definately visit the resort again, we had a fantastic holiday!

Always up early on holiday I like to stroll on the beach before the crowds get there.
Shop keepers always sweeping the paths,the beaches are cleaned but by the end of the day it is back to square one because alot of people leave their rubbish(same the world over!)lots of bars offering cocktails etc have sprung up.usual bungee jumping,cart,bike hire.have noticed increase in lap dancing clubs!
Ladies of the night shall we say, seem to be on the up too.you might find a few beggers, waiters trying to get you into their restaurants but they don't hassle you too much!
This year will be my 6th and probably my last. It is fast losing its charm and is beginning to resemble Spain!

The resort was great. Had something for everybody. And the golf buggy's were fab even though the locals told me I was a bad driver!!.
There is brilliant choices of bars and restuarants. We became regulars at a karaoke bar and sang with the locals and Germans. Will be there again in 5 weeks!!

Sunnybeach is a place you have to visit the once, but not sure if I would go back in a hurry.
Lots and lots of Bars,Shops & resteraunts and a beach, not much else.
We did walk the length of the beach to the town of Nesabar (spelling might be off), this was brilliant but you have to be aware of the nudist beach so far along.
So basically if you want very cheap food, beer and copy's of everything from the shops well worth a visit.
Been there done that may not rush back.

The resort was like any other trying to impress visitors and it did for us. The people were friendly and helpful, there were some big kerbs and local resturaunt staff came and helped me up and down kerbs etc...Seeing i am 15 stone and my partner is about 10 stone wet through nothing was too much trouble for many of them. We was never mythered to come and eat in resturaunts as our wrist bands could be seen some asked but if you said no thanks they left you alone. We did not venture much to the beach as we dont like them but our daughter went a few times and enjoyed it. Everything in this resort is within a 5 min walk or wheel depends how you look at it... Bars pubs clubs etc although everything seemed to quieten down around 1am which when on holiday as a family was great for us. The only 1 concern i had was a few children (beggars) followed me a few times but a few choice words put pay to them, so for the less mobile have somone with you, my advice would be for them to walk behind you or at the side so they can see you and whats happening around you. All in all a great holiday and we will be going back soon i hope. Thanks for reading.. Nathan and Andree
