All rooms are good, but the pool side is best. the hotel food is very good and has a great choice to choose from.

We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.
We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby

Found the beach in excellent condition and always clean, no rubbish lying around, beds were always packed away tidily around 6pm (left out if you were still there) and the sand was very clean. Resort in general seemed clean. Entertainment a bit mixed, lots of little singers with keyboards/ bands in the restaurants, not the best singers but I found this charming in its own way. Lots of beach bars, some cheesy music but good atmosphere and waitress service. No toilets at some of the beach bars though.

we stayed in sunny beach and it lived up to its name with only one afternoon of cloud in the whole fortnight.
We arrived @ 23:40 in bourgas (airport) and it took us 1:40 to pass through passport control there were children crying and no explanation was given for the delay.
In the transfer bus we were warned by the rep of gypsies, pickpockets and men offering to "change money" a pleasant welcome to an unusual country. Well the rep was spot on because as we were dropping of some guests at a hotel a taxi pulled up and the driver and a lady of the night were "escorting" a very drunk man towards a cash machine, a few minutes later and the "lady" and the taxi driver returned to the cab with the drunk mans money, what a first impression. Anyway we arrived at the resort and it looked very lively, however we were too tired and went to bed.In the morning we got up and went for a stroll around the resort and if you like market stalls and counterfeit goods then this is the place for you, if you enjoy having to look over your shoulder to avoid being knocked down by one of the numerous motorised vehicles on the prom then again come here.
Having said that there is lots to do and the beach is very clean though space is at a premium with the various watersport cordons and the usual "10lev" for a sunbed man, the sea was very clean however all of my family were stung/bitten by little bugs in the water.

Sunny beach resort was good lots to do and the locals friendly.
Great cheap food and excellent bus service. Entertainment good, clean beaches and plenty of sun.

My Husband and I have just returned from a weeks stay at the Meridian, we were very 'wary' before our departure on the 25th July as we had been changed from a hotel in Nessebar to the Meridian. Being a couple in our early forties and travelling without our son because we needed a 'child free' break we were concerned that we would be in the middle of everything with 'whinging kids'.
I have very high standards and the hotel was excellent, the staff were very courtious (reception staff) not so friendly, but you dont deal with them much.
I would advise anyone not to to go half board as the food is 'rubbish'.
We had breakfast at the 'Picadiily' across the road every morning, not great but the best around.
If you go into the town centre don't eat in the 'Hong Kong' Restaurant, they advertise air conditioning but when we were seated and asked where it was the staff pointed to the lights overhead and when we questioned them they suddenly couldn't speak English. Also after eating there I got very sick. I cant say it was because of their food but it was a coincidence.
When you come out front door of hotel (7pm-11pm) say hello to Peter, he touts for the restaurant across the street and is the most helpfull guy, gave us so many tips.
The bus stop is just behind the hotel, and so easy to get around.
A brilliant Hotel in a great location and very quiet (never heard a thing at night).

Not enough bins. Charge for toilets. Scooters and golf buggies constantly zooming about the resort where holidaymakers are walking - an accident waiting to happen.

Loads to do in Sunny Beach!!!Young or older visitors should both enjoy this resort.
Busy on the main front,but lots of sideroads etc...with bars that have karaoke or live acts not all are loud young bars.
Spoilt by choice food wise,some lovely retaurants,traditional,chinese,english,mexican....and soooo cheap!
Last thing at night as you walk or stagger home after getting sozzled on 5 quid the resort does get littered,but you go for an early morning stroll at 7.30am and as if by magic the resort is spotless again!!How when you go staggering home at 2am till 7.00am they manage it is a mystery to me!!!!

Sunny Beach is very in your face, but like any holiday, it's what you make it. Extremely cheap compared to home, and weather is great in July (35 degrees the week we were there). We enjoyed the great lager, and some of the people can't do enough for you. Food was not any good anywhere (if you don't like kebabs, pizza etc). Had a good time, but would not come to Bulgaria again.

The resort was very clean, but it's a shame that they only think British people only eat Mcdonalds, hot dogs and jacket potatoes!
If you take a stroll into the back streets, the Bulgarian food is excellent, and they make you feel really welcome.
A Bulgarian meal for 4 costs about £10, which included all the drinks.
We came home with money, as things are so cheap over there ie Crystal, Leather, Drinks, Perfume.
A must is a visit to the Khans tent, which includes a 5 course meal, and entertainment-which cost £27
WORTH EVERY PENNY
The only down side to the holiday was the airport, the airport is very basic and has no air conditioning, and took nearly 2 hours to get through passport control, but this is just a small price to pay, for this great holiday.
If you take a stroll into the back streets, the Bulgarian food is excellent, and they make you feel really welcome.

Resort very clean with lots to do. Piccadilly & White House restaurants behind the hotel were very good with excellent food and great service. Ate at both a few times.
Snack bar round corner from hotel next to White House served lovely food and was very clean. Beach very clean and child friendly with lifeguards doing great job, had one day were we had a high current and they wouldnt let people out too far.
For women who love shopping, excellent resort for this, shoes & jewellry were very very cheap, men beware !!
We visited Chinatown restaurant up in the main town which had very good food but we left a camera there and when we went back for it was told that the waitress may have taken it. When confronted she denied it until we insisted she had it then she returned the chip from the camera and demanded that we pay her 30 levs for it.
We knew that she had the camera and when we demanded it back she raised the price to 60 levs, was told by her that in her country, whatever you leave belongs to them ! So please beware of leaving your valuables as it may cost you money !
Would highly recommend a trip to Nessebar village as it is very beautiful, bus ride is very uncomfortable but cheap and the boat ride back was pleasant.
Food on flight is definitely not recommended, we took some sandwiches and was glad as the food is awful, definitely not worth surcharge cost that they charge, plane was like something jack built!
All in all, fantastic holiday and would definitely go back to this resort and most definitely this hotel!

Resort was very clean beaches the best I've seen plenty to see and do in the resort would most definatley go back.
