I only ventured into Paphos harbour and the market town but enjoyed every moment of it. Though having been to Cyprus before found it to be more expensive since changing to the Euro.
The waterpark in Paphos is a must. Had a superb time when we visited.

resort of paphos excellent especially with all of refurbishment on promenade and shops. plenty of bars and restaurants catering for all tastes and pockets. boat trips good value. not much beach but plenty of sun bathing areas which are kept spotless as is the rest of paphos.

Paphos is a wonderful place, lots of culture to see, probably two whole weeks would not be enough. have to go a bit out of the main tourist areas to find really good beaches but they are only a few minutes on the bus.

We were in Pathos to attend a family wedding in the middle of our week. Our experience of the resort was limited, however, as the weather was so hot (40 in June)that most of the holiday we stayed by the pool at the hotel complex. On walks in the evening however we were impressed by the number and range of restauants and bars in the main area of the town. The coast line within walking distance from our hotel was quite 'rugged' and rocky, with a limited course sandy area. Boat trips were available. We found Pathos expensive, on the whole, and would not rush back!

This resort is so well situated, not only are you right on the beach,a but the buses will take you just about anywhere you want to go (within reason of course). You can even walk to the harbour or old town, though will probably want to take a bus or taxi back with all your shopping!!!!!
As I tend to suffer from travel sickness, the 40 minute trip in the coach from the airport, with not too many stops to drop off others on the way was one of the deciding factors in chosing this resort in the first place.

We have never been to Paphos before (or Cyprus), so didn't know what to expect. We thought that there would have been more beaches within walking distance, so were slightly disappointed. However, we like to walk alot and walked along the coastal road and down the harbour quite a few times. As the coast is a nice natural rocky coast and the pavements really need some repairs, as well as the fact there was alot of traffic, it was safer most of the time to walk along the coast! The resort was more built up than we expected, but didn't stop us from enjoying our holiday. Apart from mainly karaoke and Sky sport there wasn't alot of entertainment, but this could be because of the time of year.
Overall a great holiday.

The resort was very clean in the main.
Apart for the kids club we did not partake in the entertainment, there were various activities on each night and kids club available morning, noon and night!
The beach had very course sand which i actually preferred as it didnt seem as sticky! Wasnt great for building sand castles but the kids didnt seem to mind!
We have been to Paphos 3 times now and will definitely return to the aliathon.

Aphrodite Water Park an excellent day out, also karting track which is great fun. Municipal beaches ok, alot of beaches attached to private hotels. Loads of buses into Paphos and up to Coral Bay - very nice beach. Lot's to do in Paphos itself - boat trips, world heritage site, shops etc.

The cleanliness of the resort is good, entertainment is in the new Fishing Village - we did not go as we like the Wild Horse Pub. There are beaches across the road, but it's rocky. The closest and nicest is Coral Bay an easy bus ride away and there is a bus stop outside the Aliathon. The resort has enough swimming pools to cater for young and not so young!
The new Fishing Village has opened in May this year and is brilliant. The kids splash pool is a sight to be seen. There is a kids play area, creche and nursery. The whole resort has enough restaurants - Aegeon, PocoLoco (mexican), Taste of India (indian), the Italian and an on-site supermarket. It has a bank, optician, Gorgo travel, estate agents. There is a nightclub called Dodici which has just opened. There is still some work to be done, there is going to be a pitch & putt area around the Fishing Village. The work is minimal and does not disrupt anyone, it certainly did not disrupt our holiday. At the front of the Aliathon there will also be a Greek Taverna and and Haagen Daas ice cream shop.
All in all a fab place and we are going back again in September 2008!

Although the hotel address is Paphos it is 5km away. Coral Bay is 3km the other way.You are completely isolated from any other hotel, bars ,restaurants and supermarkets. There is no beach at the hotel and all the coast is rocky. The nearest sandy beach is Coral Beach but that is man-made.We found the best entertainment was O'Neills or Fat Mamas which are the first bars as you get into Paphos, or Blazing Saddles in Coral bay.
