Just got back on 7th Sept having spent two weeks at the Rising Star. Stayed in old block room 233 and would ask for it again.
Views fab over Fig Tree Bay.
No kids but I still took part in aerobics in pool. Ben the rep very persuasive.
Fab hotel and I would recommend it to anyone. Hope to take extended family out next year. Have to pay for air con so be prepared.
Towels clean but washed so many times they are grey and quite hard. Reps fab especially Ben and Julie, Nat lovely too she just nervous as just joined the team.
Hope they are there next year.
Resort great and hotel very close to all bars and restaurants five minute walk. All staff friendly and helpful.
Put it this way I have never sent a review in for anywhere else i've stayed and i've stayed in some good ones so hopefully that is recommendation enough.

After returning for the second year I was not disappointed one bit! All the staff are really friendly, especially Michael, George and Paulina in the bar!
Apartments were very clean and I will definately be returning again next year! Had an excellent holiday!

This hotel is without doubt the best hotel we have stayed in abroad, our room was very clean and spacious and with a great sea view from the balcony.
Our room maid Maria kept our room spotless, on our first day we found we had a faulty kettle, within 15 minutes of reporting this we had a brand new kettle delivered to our room ( very good service ).
The pool was very clean and inviting, and the pool area was well furnished with sunbeds, as was the lawn area. The lawns were only a stones throw from the beach which had plenty of water sports available.
The entertainment staff were great keeping the children entertained with both activities in and out of the pool, there was also a varied selection of evening entertainment, well done Ben, Becks, Nat & the rest of the team.
Captain Pannikoss boat trip is a nice morning out leaving from the jetty at the back of the hotel,
also Nissiotis beach restaurant is worth a visit, next door to hotel, lovely food, plenty of it and friendly staff.
All in all a superb holiday fantastic hotel, friendly staff and beautiful location what more could you ask for. definitely returning in the near future.

The hotel was very clean and the maid was in most days cleaning.
We went to a couple of the themed nights which we enjoyed but I would not recommend the Cyprian dancing if you do not like to get up and take part.
The staff were helpful in both the hotel and the Yianne Marie restaurant and pub. The pub offered and good entertainment programme by the 3 entertainers Ben, Julie and Becca who was new to the island and arrived during my holiday!
The karoke every night at the rising sun pub got slightly boring if no body wanted to sing but there was other entertainment such as bingo as well.
I am hoping to return to the Rising Star apartments in the near future!

Got put into old building and one week of holiday ruined. Had to be transferred from old building room 134 due to cockcroach problems. Locked cupboard led down to store room were cockcroaches were getting up into our room. New building excellent. End of holiday brill.
Booked again for 2006 with MyTravel and have requested new building!!

Arrived in Larnarca airport early in the morning after flying from Manchester.
On arrival at apartment was disappointed to find that we was not in the main block but quickly realised we had a better position for a family of 4.
We had a view of the beach and could see the pool from bedroom windows. We stayed in room 331 and would request it again when we return. The apartments were spotless and spacious. Only fault was that you had to pay for 2 units of air conditioning which is essential in the hotter months. We only payed for 1 unit which cost

I have just arrived home from the Rising Star with my family.
The hotel rooms were very clean, as the cleaner came in every day except sunday. We had lunch in the hotel a couple of times which was ok.
The location is brilliant, right on the beach. The staff were very friendly and did excellent daytime entertainment.
We went out every night so cannot comment on evening entertainment. Bar and reception staff are very friendly and speak good english.

Initially we were disappointed to be given apartment 334 in the older block. However the balcony was nice and private and had a lovely view along the beach.
On our first night there we had a view of the sunset from the living room window, and from our balcony also saw the full moon shining across Fig Tree bay - fantastic.
The hotel was very clean and we hardly saw a fly or any other insects.
The pool area was spotless and there was plenty of space and sun loungers.
Although self catering we did have a few snacks at the poolside bar and found them delicious and very good value.
The only let down with the hotel was the cost of the air conditioning. It cost CYP

We had a brilliant time, the hotel is excellent and staff very helpful and friendly.
We were on the opposite side to the pool, and spent a lot of time watching the Cypriot family who live opposite!
The only down side was the cost of the air conditioning, which worked out rather expensive over 2 weeks, as you had to pay for 2 units per apartment.
Overall though it was great, in fact we have booked to go back next year!

The Rising Star was one of the best hotels that we have been to. It was very clean as the maid visited every day.
The location was brilliant and from some of the room you had a wonderful view over Fig Tree Bay.
Our only complaint is the amount of noise that was made by other guests who did not come in until the early hours of the morning.
The entertainment is very good for children with a mini disco in the pool every morning and water polo every afternoon. There is also a club for teenagers where they have beach barbeques and pizza hut trips.
We would definitely visit this hotel again but be warned it books up very quickly.
