In total there were 27 of us who went to The Rising Star Apartments in Protaras. Age range from 66 years to 14 months and we all had a wonderful time!
The staff were very helpful and polite. The rooms are great and the ones not overlooking the pool are nice and cool. The pool was cleaned every morning and there were always plenty of sunbeds even for us lot!

Had a great time, first class hotel.
We stayed in room 104 which had a lovely pool/sea view.
Couldn't fault it and would definitely return.

Just got back from this fantastic hotel. Plenty of things to do for all ages.
The beach is clean and has plenty of water sports.
There are loads of shops and resturants to choose from, and the entertainment is superb.
The staff in the hotel are very helpful and seem to always have a smile on their faces. We recommend a pint of KEO whilst you laze beside the pool.
The bedding and towels were changed on a regular basis, and the rooms cleaned every other day.
What a great place. All in all and to sum up, we would all go back there again.

We stayed here with two other couples and their children. All of us found the Rising star to be perfect for us.
Ideal location, lots of room round pool.
We were SC but ate at the restaraunt for daytime snacks and they were good and well priced.
We met in the bar each evening beore heading out and the staff were always polite and friendly again prices were good.
We were in Cyprus for a friends wedding ( at another hotel ) The reception staff sorted out a mini bus for us and I do feel as though nothing was a problem for them and they were as i say very helpful.
We had a one bed apt for 2 adults and 2 children and it was ideal. Great pool / beach view. All in all i would recommend these apts to anyone and would deff stay there again.

What can I say that hasn't been said already. Our room was spotlessly clean when we arrived and stayed that way throughout our two week stay, beds were very comfortable, kitchen area well equiped, there could have been more storage for clothes. The only thing I didn't think much of was the air conditioning, we paid for the two weeks but to be honest it wasn't that cool, opening the balcony doors had the same effect.
We ate at the pool bar most lunchtimes and the food was good, didnt try the restaurant so can't comment.
Entertaiment was good for kids and they did try very hard, but most people weren't interested.

Hotel was fantastic. It is a new hotel and the cleaners kept it spotless. The location was excellent, right next to the beach, what more could you ask for!!!! We had a pool view on the 2nd floor, which was great.
I enjoyed the entertainment and Ali, Tammi, Matt and Neil were a big hit with my daughter, especially at the mini disco and some of the shows they put on (loved 'Back to School' theme). They worked hard all day, although I think most people would rather just relax, but there is the opportunity to join in.
There are only two anooying things about the hotel. One would be the musical fridge, which really got quite irritating, but I'll remember the tape or card next time. The other downfall was the lack of storage for clothing. Especially if three adults are sharing space in the wardrobe. I set of drawers wouldn't go amiss!

WOW! All I can say is wow. We had an absolutely excellent holiday. The hotel was fantastic - spotlessly clean, rooms were huge and really new. There needed to be more drawer space but other than that is was brilliant. We didn't use the air con unit as it was quite cool at night at the time we travelled so we left the patio doors open and curtains shut.
The location was perfect for us as it allowed a 10-15min walk to and along the main strip which we really liked (stopping at bars along the way). The beach was literally 50 yards away from the pool area if you wanted to go on the beach - we are pool people.
Entertainment was mediocre but then I am sure we do not like the same things young families like so can't really comment.
Hotel was perfect for couples, old and young, and families with young children.
Only downside to the hotel was the adjoining door in the room - it had a big gap underneath it and we could hear ever word the neighbours said and they were very loud! Had a couple of afternoon sleeps spoilt by them coming in and sounding like they were in the room with us, other than that, couldn't fault the hotel.

We were inspired to book this apartment after seeing the complex being built whilst we stayed at the Evalena last Year.
We were very impressed by the standards of the room even though we were placed in the old (formerly the Salpero) block. The block had had a total refit prior to opening which meant that the rooms were up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel. I also noticed that the balconies seemed larger in the old block as appose to the new block.
The rooms were comfortable and well equipped but one thing I found a bit strange was the fact that the electrics would only come on if you placed your keyring in the slot next to the door which I found cheeky as this also applied to the air conditioning which you had to pay for.
Entertainers must have been disheartened by the lack of take up on the daytime activities.
The pool was easy to enter but the main problem was people hogging the pool with lilos and playing ball games in it.
Was impressed with the poolside bar and the upper level bar in the hotel.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the self catering apartments . All the facilities you'd expect from a hotel but in a self catering apartment.
The maid service was excellent and we had a small baby with us who was well provided for. The hotel bar had a happy hour each day but out of this time the drinks were still reasonable which is important when you have children with you.
