This was our 3rd time to the conrad and wee have booked agin for march 2008. The staff are sooo sooo friendly and can do enough for you.

We felt like celebraties when we arrived as they all recognised us which was so nice. Can't wait to see you all again in March 2008 Islam, Mohammed, Weal, Ali Fathy and the rest of the crew out there.

The food was nice sometimes can be a bit repetative but we didnt mind this. The hotel cleanliness is of a high standard ith clean bedding and towels every da if you wanted it.

The location of the hotel is really good because you got the shuttle bus to take you to the local town of Naamma bay and then you can walk along the beach to a few shops just outside the complex.

There are also a few shops in the hotel itself which are nice and the owners of the shops will help you as much as they can they are very friendly.

We have just spent an amazing two weeks here, we stayed in a premium room with jacuzzi overlooking the beach, it was everything described in the brochure.

All the staff were so obliging they could'nt do enough for us. Rooms were cleaned to a very high standard.

The waiters made us feel welcome everyday and we enjoyed the banter.

The only criticism I have is the pirates bar..us English of a certain age would appreciate a little 'smoochie music' for a while in the evening before retiring.

This was a very special holiday for us and we would like to visit again.

Oh I forgot to mention the beautiful lounge area with it's waterfalls where you can sit and relax.

We have just returned and have enjoyed a really relaxing holiday. The weather was great!

Having read the previous mixed reviews I was quite concerned about our visit to the Conrad. However, we had nothing to be concerned about. After a speedy transfer we arrived, check in was easy and our room was spacious and clean.

As we arrived in the dark there was not much to see although the next day we were pleased to see a beautifully kept complex. Everything was clean and well tended.

The pool was extremely cold and almost sent us into shock! There were always plenty of sunbeds available.

The staff were always friendly and helpful.

The food was nowhere near as bad as I had expected, but there is only so much you can do with fish, chicken and beef. Although maybe not to everyone's taste we always ate well. I would certainly recommend the omlette's at breakfast! We used room service once and the food was lovely and very good value for money.

Others have complained of very bad stomach upsets, none of us were affected by the cramps or very bad upset stomachs, just had one day when one of us had to run a few times!!

There was an obvious lack of entertainment, we did venture into the Pirate club once but the drinks were not very nice at all in here.

We always found a seat in the lobby bar or in the reception area to enjoy drinks in the evening.
The sandy beach is really clean and had plenty of sunbeds available.

The sea is beautifully clear and warm. Walking down the jetty is fun especially if its windy! The sea life is amazing, the fish are beautiful and colourful and there are plenty to see. The snorkelling is out of this world, there is a whole another world under the jetty! There are so many different types of fish to see. Even just walking up the jetty you can see a multitude of fish, we saw lion fish, parrott fish, starfish and even a sea snake!

We have enjoyed a very relaxing holiday, this was our first time in Egypt and we would certainly go back, we would be happy to stay at the Conrad again.

Just back from the Conrad and have to say thoroughly enjoyed a very quiet and relaxing holiday.

The staff were very helpful and could not do enough to make sure all was okay. Wael the pool attendant is very good and you could a good laugh with him. Once he gets to know your face you will find when you go out in the morning that he has put towels on a sunbed for you (if you tend to to the same spot each day) Hence never a problem getting a sunbed and there appeared to be empty sunbeds around the pool all day.

The food was okay but the evening meal was quite limited but always a choice, some of it could have been a bit warmer, only had lunch one day and that was the day were leaving and the lunch menu was far better than the evening menu, I would have had lunch everyday and just a snack in the evening if I had known. Getting a drink with your meal was hit and miss some evenings the waiters were there as you sat down other evenings could be 15 mins before anyone came near.

The snacks around the pool go very quickly and you have to be quick if want some pizza.

Never had any stomach problems at all, which is what we were dreading after talking to other guests on the first evening but thankfully no such problems.

Never managed to find the evening entertainment, could hear music etc but never located, guess it was maybe in the Italian section.

The bar area is quite small and very limited seating which the hotel could do to resolve, Unless you were a smoker you would not want to sit in the bar as you could cut the smoke with a knife. There are seats in the reception area and these are very limited in number.

There is a price list in the hotel rooms for the mini bar, but we were not charged for anything that we used, so maybe worth clarifying that point.

Did not attend the welcome meeting as we get bored with their sales pitch, they never seem to tell you anything of use about the hotel.

I would return to the Conrad again quickly, it is one of the most relaxing holidays we have had in a long time.

Stayed for 2 weeks at the Conrad and as it was first time to Egypt was a bit wary. Should not have worried as it was absolutely brilliant. Stayed All Inclusive as we find it is cheaper to do it this way. The hotel was very clean, the reception area is very posh, the staff were marvellous and yes the food was a bit repetitive but edible.

The location of this hotel was just right for my husband and I as it was not too far from the airport (10-15 Min's) and no aircraft noise heard at all, nice and peaceful, just what the doctor ordered! All we wanted to do was chill out and that is exactly what we did. The staff were very friendly and Ali(pool man) made sure we had towels on our sunbeds every day, Mohammed and Essam in the restaurant were also very friendly they made sure we always got our drinks quickly. Make sure you take the bottled water away with you from every meal -its free and handy to have in your fridge in your room in case you get thirsty in the night.

One of the annoying things I found at this hotel was the Italian sector "the blu club". As we arrived when it was dark we did not realise where we were situated until the next morning, we could only see a big tent (which we presumed was for some form of entertainment), we found out the second night what it was and the racket that came from it was unbelievably noisy. We asked to be moved and this was done quickly. Also tried to avoid sitting anywhere near the entertainers of the blu club when going for our meals as they were very loud, and even when we were chilling beside the pool you could hear them when they were entertaining on the beach!

The other annoying thing is the newspaper man who comes around at 12 noon, the newspapers/magazines are very expensive. I decided to buy a magazine (

We stayed here in September 05 for one week and loved it but this year it has changed for the worse.

The food for our evening meal was terrible. nearly everyone we talked to staying at the Conrad had stomach problems etc. On our trips we talked to guests from other hotels but none of them seemed to have any of our hotels food ailments.

Entertainment at the hotel is poor unless you're Italian and have the use of the Blu club.

You need to get up early to reserve your sunbed unless you grease the palm of our bespectacled one this guy can spot a good scam from a mile away.

Overall this hotel should be down graded to a 3 star.

The Conrad Hotel's best feature is its location, which is superb.

The staff are extremely nice and as an experiment I decided not to tip everyone and found they were just as nice as last year.

Entertainment is poor but the people that are involved in this most certainly do their utmost to do their best.

I am going back to this hotel next year but will find elsewhere after 2007 because the food in the restaurant was pretty awful, and yet the few room service meals I had were really nice(completely different menu and nicely prepared).

Very disappointed with the bathrooms again this year as they really need a good overhaul.

We arrived in September in the low 40's, only a 5 hour flight, but the heat hits hard and this was early evening!
Our transfer was swift after avoiding the the "porters", registering at the hotel was quick too, our bags were tagged and taken to our rooms while we went to eat and put back some of the liguid into ourselves.

A couple of hours later we went to our room and the cases were outside the door - our room was sea facing on the first floor, it was bright and very clean, every thing was there that should have been - king size bed and a large room.
When daylight broke we opened the curtains and what a veiw - also at 0800 no one about either. The beach is long and sandy.

The food was a bit repetitive - but there was always something there to interest us.

Our friends had booked in a week earlier - their room uncanningly was directly above ours - this was a different room to ours, dark wood and not so nice - one for re-furbishment later.

The resort was great - but there were some stomach grumbles, we thought our friends were having a joke. but sure enough after 3 days the cramps set in and a visit to the chemist required. After a day I was fine and that was that.
The chemist thought it was our habits of cold drinks in the hot sun, and going into a very cold airconditioned room, the food was good so we agreed with him, but this does not affect all hotels, so we supected the A/C in the end and didn't have it on at night.

We would recommend this hotel as the staff were all very helpfull, the rooms (ours) were good too, but there are other good hotels too along the coast, some newer and more sparkly, so the Conrad should put some time into sorting out what ever bug is circulating and clean the slate and keep up with the competition.

This was the first visit for us to Sharm, the smimming was fantastic and made this a memorable stay.

Just got back from a 2 week holiday at the Conrad. Wow! what a great hotel. I was a bit nervous about going to Egypt but I truley enjoyed every single minute.

Our first impressions of the hotel was that it was fantastic, the reception area is vast. But when we got to our jacuzzi room, we were overwhelmed, the view just blew you away! The beach and the sea is just perfect. Where else can you sit in clear blue water and have beautiful fish actualy swimming around you feet?

All the staff work very hard. The waiters in the resteraunt work especially hard. They start work at 6.30am and finish at 11.00pm and their service is second to none. I have never been treated as well, it was emmbarasing!

I have read that people said that the food was poor and repetative, but honestly, it is not. There is always something there that you can find.

My only complain of the hotel was that on both our early morning starts (4am) we were not given a breakfast box from the hotel, unlike everyone else on the trip from other hotels. Secondly, I have to complain about the amount of rude Italians, thet are so noisey! But not enough to stop you going to this fantasic place. I will definatley be going back to this; well run, happy, friendly hotel.

We have just returned from two weeks at the Conrad Hotel, and firstly I must say what a great place this is.

We travelled to Egypt on the day the security measures came into force at Gatwick, not that this delayed us, but our plane developed a technical fault which led to a seven or so hour delay, which meant instead of arriving in resort about 7pm we arrived in the early hours of the morning.

On arrival we were told to just leave our bags outside the hotel and proceed and check in. Inside the hotel we were greeted by friendly smiling faces who presented us with chilled bottles of water and filled rolls if anybody was hungry. As we were all tired we just checked in straight away, it was at this time we encountered the type of humour we could expect from the staff during our holiday.

After emailing the hotel and asking for our three rooms to be close to each other, on checking in he told us availability was such that our rooms were at opposite ends of the hotel, after a couple of heavy sighs and after checking the room numbers, to find them all nearly next to each other, I looked at him to find a big beaming grin on his face, enjoying the fact he had wound me up. This type of humour was the same with all of the staff throughout our holiday which led to some great banter.

When we got to our rooms, we had three rooms, nine people, and only seven beds!!! By this time our bags which we had left outside the hotel were being delivered to our room. After explaining to the porter our problem, he got on the phone, within ten minutes men arrived, with beds, re-arranged our rooms and went within another fifteen minutes and everyone was happy and glad to get to bed after one eventful day.

In the morning we flung open our curtains to witness the best view I have had from a room, directly on the beach overlooking the Red Sea towards Tiran island.

Time to explore. We headed to the main block which contained reception and the restaurant and had breakfast, this was a choice of anything you could name, except Bacon of course, omlettes freshly cooked, cereal, fruit, cakes, salads, meats, breads, coffee, tea, juices, as much bottled water as you wanted, you name it it was there, and the waiters were fantastic, with their friendly smiling faces.

After breakfast, to the pool, and what a great pool it was, big, clean, plenty of beds, nice pool bar. At this point I would like to mention the pool attendants, who were fantastic all holiday with our children, and always had time for a chat and a bit of banter.

At lunch there was a fair choice of food available, always cooked meats, fish, pasta, salads, chips if you wished, pizza, salads, fruit, ice cream etc.

In the afternoon we went to the beach, and what a lovely beach it is, we went along the floating pontoon to the roped off swimming area at the end, to do some snorkeling WOW!!!

This was out of this world! It was like swimming in a tropical fish tank, species and colours of fish you only see on TV. We went on a trip to Ras Mohamed which is supposed to be the best for divers, but at the end of our hotel pontoon we saw the best variety and quality of fish.

At dinner we were presented with a good choice of food, again, meats, fish, pasta, veg, salads etc etc, don't get me wrong it was not boring far from it, tasted good and we always found something to enjoy, the sweets were great, the fruit and veg carvings finished off a very good offering.

A few drinks in the bar and we had enough for our first day. We saw a bit of building at the front of the hotel, in fact they re-surfaced the driveway while we were there, we saw two men erecting a No Diving sign around the pool one day, and someone photographing it, presumably to complain about it. Did any of this affect us? Not one bit!

This was one of the best holidays we've had, the hotel, staff, surroundings were great!
