We flew a week after the trouble and had no real problems. There were plenty f first choice reps at the airport who advised you if you might need a visa or not and directed you to the right queue. You could then follow the trail of pink uniforms to the bus to tkae you to the hotel. There were a few locals asking for money to put your bag on the roof of the coach and when you said no refused to put your bag on the coach but just ignore them.
Short transfer time to the Hotel. There is some building work at the front of the hotel as you go in the entrance but you dont hear or see anything!
When we arrived we were told to leave our bags and check in. You are then given a sticker with your room number on to put on your bag and someone comes and escorts you to your room. All very well organised!
Our room was big and had a view of the sea that cant be beaten. We were given twin beds but the next day when we arrived back to our room the cleaner had moved our beds together as he rea;ised we were a couple! Bathroom was fine, a little tired lookng but clean and all worked!
When we went investigating we found the most amazing pool. It was massive with sections that were all differnt depths to suit everyone. Nice pool bar to swim up to! It was always clean and never too crowded. There were plenty of sun beds but a lot of people were placing a towel on the sunbeds at the crack of dawn so you had to get yourself organised in the morning. Having said that if you ventured to the beach there were plenty of sun beds there so you could always get them. I noticed that our beach was nicely spaced out in comparson to the hotel next door! By far the conrad had the best beach. You could see the fish in the shallows let alone snorkell of the jetty which is amazing!
Music is played around the pool and there is entertainment like aqua aerobics, dancing, water polo etc. Music was mainly dance but they did try and put all sorts on to suit everyone!
All the staff are friendly and like to have a bit of a joke with you. They all work 13 hour days and seemed to be there every day! Tip if you recieve good service as they dont get paid a lot!
I found breakfast and lunch to be fine. Great omelets for breakfast! Lunch there would be chips, mini burgers etc and pizza was served as a snack mid morning at the pool. I was disappointed by dinner. There was plenty there but i just found it all a bit repetitive. The same dishes with different names! By day 4 i was bored! Some of it was reheated as well from the day before. On the otherhand it did mean we ordered room srevice which is dead cheap, 3 english pound for a pizza, 4 pound for a burger an inch thick in a bun and chips! The intalian restaurant was also excellent though the bottles of wine were half size enough for a glass each and the cheapest was 12 english pound!
We didnt see the hotel entertainment as we went to Naama bay etc. But it consisted of the usual spinning man, belly dancing, kids disco.
Went on some snorkelling trips to the garden reef and Raz Mohammed. I preferred the garden reef trip as we just seemed to see more and it was cheaper! Snorkelling trips cost roughly 25 english pound each.
Keepl applying th sun cream though as you can burn without realising it!
Went on the two day trip to Cairo for 125 english pound each which is excellent value. You stay over in an excellent 4 star hotel! and see everything. We considered flying which avoids the 7 hour coach journey there and 7 hours back but you see less. To be fair the journey was not as bad as i thought. You set out at 1 in th morning on the way there but sleeping on the coach is difficult so id say get some sleep before you go! Coming back we had videos to watch so it went quite quick! Well worth doing!
The hotel was about 15mins from naama bay where there is the likes of hard rock cafe. For a three course dinner and drinks it sost us 30 english quid for the two of us which i thought was good!
Loads of shops. You get stopped every second shop to try and get ypu in their shops with freindly chit chat then once in comes the hard sell which they are very good at. Be strong if you dont want get out of there! If you do hold your ground keep saying no and you will get some excellnet bargains! Best thing to do when walking down the street is ignore them if you want to get any where!
Have to say i did have a bad stomach for most of my holiday. Had some tablets from the pharmact located a short walk along the beach. Everyone had it including people from other hotels so i cant say for sure if it was the change in weather or the food or what!
You will have a god time, Id rate it as a good three star though not 4, let down by the food. iF they sorted the food out a bit thed hotel may be the 2nd hotel in the area to be 7 star!

On arrival our hotel room had broken air conditioning and so the staff immediately upgraded our room which was lovely.
The staff were absolutely fabulous and nothing was too much trouble for them, they were amazing with our little boy also.
This hotel is not ideal for those travelling with very young children as there is no entertainment for them and the food was not geared to younger tastes!
If you wish to eat at the BBQ, fish restaurant there is a

The jacuzzi is a built in one, we did not the jacuzzi as bath didn't appeal to us prefer showers. The room was big size the bed was ok, towers changed every day as well the sheets to. The cleaners are friendly espically to the ladies. Always kept it clean. left about 10le every 2days or so.
The TV channels are very good between 6pm - 8pm good films on in English, also after 11pm good films on.
The beach was brillaint, best I have ever done, the jetty is best at 3-5pm when water is calm and very very clear. Saw 1 lion fish and all types colours shapes etc, even in the shallow water I saw a baby octopus, and even a sting ray out this world, good if the childrem like to have a go in shallows.
Hotel staff were brill, and Mohammed from beach bar was the best, gave him 100 ept pds tip and he loved us the whole 2 weeks and allways made sure our drinks were filled, but he did not even expect a tip.
Reception staff some are friendly than others, but if you use minibar pay for it each day otherwise things will get added on.
I bought my partner a ring from the shop at the hotel rather nice one for 400 le and it was rather nice, sterling silver I belive, the shop opposite was more 4000 grand a ring so the real mcCOY. But nice shops.
The lobby bar is nice and cool, no crisp on the bar to have with your drinks but just ask and they will give you some long you tipped him the night before.
The hotel was really nice. We would go back there anyday, but explore the world first. Building work was ok at front of the hotel not noisey at all, not visable.
The disco is next to the building work but this was open after 11pm we went there 2 times out of 14nights as most time it was dead but when it was busy in the 2nd week it was really good and DJ had some good tunes. But it depends on the people in the hotel to make it busy.
Italians side of the hotel was much better had plenty for the kids but nout for the English kids.
Snacks at pool are were not that great, pizza, burgers and sandwiches. But we weren't hungry after the omlette at breakfast and the cerals, breakfast is ok, tea coffee etc, lunchtimes seem to be best meal of the day, chips, soup, fresh rolls, etc cant knock the food at lunchtimes, the main meals were ok, pasta, loads meats i did enjoy them.
I was ill for most the holiday, mainly due to the beer I belive not the food, as my partner was fine and we had same things, make sure you get the water at meal times as its free.
Go to chemist round corner for stomach cramps as nothing else would work.
Overall all I'd rate this hotel 8/10 mainly because food got boring towards the end, and entertainment was the same the 2nd week.
The terrace bar was good, relaxing and also the room service food was brilliant had pizza about 7 times over the 2 weeks at 2am in morning its 30le for a big pizza of 8 slices thats 3 quid, we did this as we met another couple had few late nights.
But any questions pm me. Cheers

There was a wide variety of food and the food we all thought was excellent with having different themes every night such as Chinese, Italian, English etc, the staff were always polite and looking to help where possible.

The room that we had was number 1144 right on the beach front, it was spotless on arrival, a big room for the 2 of us with a super king size bed! The mini bar in the room is quite expensive, but we went to a supermaket in nama bay and bought a few supplys for after the A/I stopped or for chilling out in the room.
We ordered room service one night just some pizza and worked out about

I found the food to be very nice. There was always a lot to choose from, and each night was a different theme so one night it might be Greek and then next would be French.
The hotel is about 15 minutes away from Naama Bay. The prices of taxi's depend on which type you get. If you order a green one from the hotel you are looking at paying 60 egyptian pounds which is

First, the good stuff. The hotel is in a superb location, only a short hop from the airport, but not so close that plane noise is an issue. It's right on a superb beach, with snorkeling available from the hotel's jetty. It's a whole other world down there, like having your own personal aquarium! Apart from the Baron Hotel next door and a small arcade of shops in between, there

Firstly the hotel is in a fantastic location, right on the beach where you can experience snorkelling and scuba diving if you wish. The beach, sea and the marine fish provide a spectacular setting for a totally relaxing holiday.
The staff at the hotel are definately an asset, who work very long hours but always remain very friendly and helpful. Sameh at the beach bar and in the Panorama bar in the evenings was by far,the best waiter, never stopped working but he was always cheerful.
The cleanliness of the hotel could not be faulted however the food left a lot to the imagination, very often recycled and just warm. Every night was a different theme but the food was the same.
For 9 of the 11 days and also when we returned home we spent a lot of the time on the toilet even after taking tablets to stop the runs. This was the same for a large group of guests staying at the Conrad, that we got friendly with all stating that they also had bad stomachs for the duration of their holidays.
The best part about the food had to be the sweet section which was always displayed really well, and if you was willing to pay for waiter service to your room or you was willing to pay to eat in the Italian restaurant then you tasted a much better type of food, which we thought was a bit unfare considering we had paid for all inclusive and would have expected the same quality.
The rooms were spacious and clean and the cleaner always left flowers every day on the bed.
After all this it has not put us off visiting egypt again as we are looking to return to Sharm again next year, although we may give this hotel a miss unless it gets better reviews for the food, but the location right on the beach was ideal otherwise.
