Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.
Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

Beautiful place, cannot fault it.

Naama Bay is lovely! There are reefs about 10 metres off shore and we saw absolutely loads of life there. Such as sting-rays, octopus, triggers, etc

Sharm is very busy but not without charm. The people are very friendly and the view from the camel bar roof is great. The down side is they do pester you a bit to go into their shops, just smile and say hello and keep walking. Old Sharm is more mellow and the resturants cheaper. We used Fanar beach the most and although you paid 40 le to get in it was worth it, free sunbeds and a drink. The snorkeling is fantastic and the food good also it did not get too busy. You have alot to look at as the boats come in to drop off divers. we also went to Sharks Bay - 30 le for two to get in. This beach is very nice , good food and its easy to get out to reef. Only did 2 trios this time as already done Cairo, went to Ras Mohammed by boat this was great for the snorkeling and to St Catherines you do not need a visa so it was nice and easy. This is my 2nd visit to Sharm and i would go again.

There is not a lot to do in Sharks Bay. But is only a short Taxi or Bus ride into Naama Bay which has more entertainment and lots of shopping.

We found the steps down to the beach a bit much (not so much going down but going up) but there is a hourly bus going down and coming back up for Beach 1. This is the beach we spent most of our time on as it sloped gently into the sea rather than jettys as on Beaches 2 & 3. Beach 1 is lovely. There never seemed to be many people on it and we always managed to get beds (usually held by the towel guys!).
The restaurant, snack area and bar on Beach 1 were excellent. We made good friends with the chef, Zaky, here and had special dinners made for us.
There wasn't much to do here really. You can't really just wander off the resort. There is only entertainment for the children daily and twice a week there is something for the adults. Friday nights are good as they have an 'Oriental' evening where they have all the food outside so you can wander round and choose whatever you want. They have stalls (the guys from the shops in the hotel lobby) where you can buy clothes and souvenirs. They also have Khaled (one of the chefs) sat with a water pipe, which you can have a go on. Not tobacco I hasten to add.
We went to Na'ama Bay one day. We didn't stay long as it reminded us of San Antonio in Ibiza. It was hot and the shop owners here are not so much fun. Do Not let any of them get you into their shops by saying they will give you a business card. It did not happen to us but several people had been locked in and the trick was they would put perfume on you and make you buy it! Tell them 'Mafi Feluse' (not sure on the spelling) this means 'I have no money'. It really comes in handy.

We did not see much of the resort due to our health. The resort around the hotel was terrible and I would not recommend you went outside as we felt very unsafe.
We visited Naama Bay a couple of times and it was good- we all wished we were staying there. It was lively had a good atmosphere, and had lots of restaurants such as pizza hut and Hard Rock Cafe.

Not a lot in the resort, lots of hotels being built so it will get better.

Naama bay is ok, not much to buy or do except eat and drink and you do get fed up with constantly being hasseled to come inside the shops.
Hard Rock cafe is a great but you need to get in early (8pm) if you don't want to wait to eat.

There wasnt really a beach as such which I did find quite dissapointing but was soon impressed again by the fish so near to the shore.
When the signs say "this sea is very deep", theye are not kidding. Once you have made it over the bobbing jetty about 20 feet from the shore, it is about 30 feet deep easily but well worth buying a snorkel & being amazed by the different fish that swim right upto you.
This is one place I will definately return to in the near future.
