Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

The resort was well kept and the many pools were great, with lots of choice, although at certain times there were shortages of sunloungers. Entertainment was limited - which given the fact we wanted a quiet holiday was perfect from our perspective. Our daughter, however, loved the "Baby Disco" each night.

sharm is a wonderful resort, very lively and busy but you have just got to go and soak up the delights.. beach gets busy in the day but nothing else to say, go and see !!

The resort of Sharm el Sheikh is definitely worth a visit. Especially if you are into watersports, snorkelling and scuba diving. But if you're not. don't let that put you off, I didn't do any of the above and still had a fabulous time.
The main part of the resort was Na'ama Bay which looks stunning at night with lots of lights and lots of shops, restaurants and bars. We only left our hotel twice to get to Na'ama Bay to do some shopping, eat a bit of dinner and find a bit of entertainment. We found it all, I loved it! Perhaps the shopkeepers constantly asking you to come into their shop would annoy you, but it certainly adds to the atmosphere! Just keep walking and say no thank you and if they ask you if it's your first time in Egypt, tell them you've been 5 times before!...they'll think you know the score and they won't be as cocky!! If they invite you in for tea, they really are just being hospitable and friendly, even if you don't buy, try it out for the experience. They probably want to show off their English as well.
There was no beach at our part of the resort (far gardens)but there were two jetty/pontoons to swim from, which you get used to. There was lots of sand about for the kids, and the pools were spotless. So everyone was happy.
I would definitely return to this resort, we were there the first week in March and the weather was 75-80 degrees every day. It's something a bit different, so you have to be open-minded and embrace the cultural differences. If you're looking for English pubs, fried breakfasts and karaoke, it's not for you. If you're looking to try new things, chill out, see a different culture and try somewhere completely different...you'll have the time of your life!

The resort itself was excellent, but the taxi ride into Namma Bay was like a white knucle ride, the drivers drive at night with no lights on, so a bit scary. Once into Namma bay there is a lot to do and see, so the next time i go back to sharm I will stay in a hotel situated in the town centre.

The beach was manmade but very good with plenty of places to dive or snorkel.

The hotel is very clean but the location is quite isolated. However, do not let this put you off as the resort is vast and you do not need to leave. If you do there are regular shuttle busses that run from the hotel to various stops along the cloast.
We did not get too involved in the entertainment appart from meals and drinks but the restaurants i.e. the Aribic has a belly dancer which the kids all find facinating (as do the dads)
From the beach you can get a train for the kids around the resort which is a good way of killing 1/2 hour but again the kids love it.

We didn't see much of the resort, only the hotel beach. This was spotlessly clean and a beautiful place. The Red Sea was wonderful and the snorkelling was out of this world.
The beach is a man-made beach with terraces above. The sand is a coarse and gritty but the beach is really all about the coral reef just off shore.
It's a beautiful place and I look forward to visiting again.

The beach isn’t much to write home about, with quite sharp grit. If you intend swimming from the beach, there’s a narrow entrance strip cordoned off to avoid the coral. Use swim shoes unless you want your feet cut to pieces as it’s really, really painful to walk on the sharp ‘pebbles’.
Swimming off the floating pontoon’s much better. The water’s not too cold and is very buoyant, even if you’re like me and not too confident in deep water. The coral is all around you and so are the very colourful fish. I’d never snorkelled before but it was too good an opportunity not to, and I’m so glad I did. The fish are amazing, there are jellyfish but apparently they’re the non-stinging kind.
If want out of the hotel, you need to take taxis as all the hotels are off these mile long driveways. The blue & white are local cabs with maniacs for drivers. The hotel limousines are a just a little more expensive but don’t turn your hair white with fear. We would take a taxi into town about 8pm, have dinner and then return on the hotel bus at 11pm.
Whilst we knew Naam was commercialized we didn’t expect to find Blackpool by the Desert. Once we got over the shock, it was fine. There is a little hassle from local touts, but mainly they take no for an answer. We only got one local tout who gave us a hard time getting quite aggressive.

The main thing which I noticed was the sheer amount of touts around the resort, which we found rather intimidating - much more than anywhere else we have travelled to before.
The other hotels along the beach all have restuarants and bars which you can eat and drink - all around the same price - about £15-£18 for a meal for 2 with a drink or two.
If you have children and you want to be safe with food - you have a Mcdonalds, a KFC and a Pizza Hut, as well as a Hard Rock Cafe.
The entertainment in the beach area is mostly based around the hotels. If you go back behind the hotels you will find all sorts of wonderful places to eat and drink and have fun.
This is not a resort like you would find in the Costas - this is far more laid back and grown up!
The public beaches was OK, but of you venture away form the hotels private beach - beware the jelly fish !!

The resort is beautiful and a walk down the promanade in the evening is lovely. The locals are very proud of their resort and the public areas are maintained to a very high standard.
They will try and drag you into their shops and some are pushier than others but this can be avoided as there are malls there as well which are easy for the conservative British to use! Haggling is expected begin at 50% of what they say and you won't go far wrong.
It is a very safe resort and we felt comfortable there with the children and would definitley go back.
