There is no entertainment to comment on but there is so much on offer nearby but I would give a big thumbs up to the Alexandros Taverna left along the beach with beautiful bay view and fantastic food and service.

Ask for a room at the rear of the property otherwise you will be disturbed by road and bar noise.
Nikos Taverna - lovely hosts and good food.

nice clean beach, good selection of shops and tavernas, not rowdy at all just right for family with children under 18, anything above that wanting lively resort go to kavos or sidari

Resort was a 10 minute walk from hotel, and made a nice change for occasional evening

Roda is a traditional fishing village which now attracts a lot of tourism. It is a laid back resort suitable for families.
The beach stretches a long way and joins to the nearby resort of Acharavi. The beach is cleaned everyday. It is a mixture of sand & pebbles.
The resort has a long strip of shops. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from. Entertainment is the usaul live singer & karaoke type. This resort is not for people looking for lively night life.

So many frienldly people and places, this is my 6th time now in Roda over 20 years. That is why I feel let down by the Silver Beach Hotel, like I have said "hotel" should mean a better class of accommodation!
We were only here for a week this time round and never had a bad meal or seen any trouble.

Roda itself was lovely, probably no more than a large village, but it had some quaint little streets to explore with enough shops (touristy stuff) and restaurants to entertain you for at least a week.
Roda also seemed to be much cleaner and better looked after than many of the other Greek islands we have visited in the past.
There were plenty of relatively cheap eating places to choose from, ranging from English food (at places like Pirates for a superb British fry up for breakfast or Maggies for real British ‘home-cooked’ dinners – fish, steak, chilli, burgers, etc - that were so huge that you were given a t-shirt if you ate it all) to trad Greek food (at places like New Port and Ninos itself for Klefados, Moussaka, Escallops, etc). All of the staff were inevitably more than friendly and would remember you on your next visit.
The sunrises and the sunsets were well worth watching as well.
Nightlife tended to be restricted to Greek dancing and singers (Elvis is alive & well in Roda!).
All in all, a great holiday in a great location and we want to return as soon as possible.
Our personal endorsement is the fact that this is the first holiday ever that we want to return to the same accommodation in the same resort. A week is just not enough!!!
Probably not the place for teenagers or people looking for a hectic nightlife, but it suited us two forty-somethings just fine.

I wasnt aware of any litter scattered anywhere and resort was very clean, no nasty smells or anything. In Roda there is something for everybody.Plenty of bars and restaurants with just one night club which is good as there are no lager louts in Roda keep them in Kavos. The beach was ok, it was sand and not pebbles, had sun loungers and a shower.I will be visiting Roda again.

We thought the resort was great we will be returning hopefully later this summer.
There are quite a few bars where you can sit and look out over the beach.
There are some lively bars. and some quieter bars and some tavernas for those who want a more traditional setting.
You can go to most complexes in the resort and use the pool as long as you buy food and drink from them, this is a good idea as you are not stuck in one place.

roda is quite busy on a nite time however all places are friendly and theres a real community feel for the place. theres plenty of fab places to eat if not eating at spiros i would recommend maggies for fish n chips or the odyseous
on the main road.the supermarket behind top gear scooter hire was the best in the area and the guy is most helpful.
theres a bakery run by an english lady and the cheese pie is to die for! you wont be disappointed with roda but please got to kassiopi its beutiful! im already booked to stay at spiros no 1 next year and cant wait.

This was ok. Few shops and bars, nice and friendly. Distinctive smell though coming from the beach area which spoilt it.
