We thought the pool was really good, not too deep and you got used to the rather rough edges but rough edges are better than slipping and falling in. We did manage to get sun beds every day and after the first few days we only got one for the kid's as it was hard to get them out of the pool.
The food was very good plenty of choice although I didn't like the Asian night. The staff were all lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them, they were very hard working. I must echo earlier comments the kebbas were excellent. The only thing missing was HP sauce at breakfast (had to go and buy some).
The rooms were spotlessly clean and to a good standard. Could have done with a plug for the sink as is hard to wash things with out; I realise we have to be careful with water but that would be better done by using a plug. The tv provided in the room was rather a waste of time as the channals in english were limited.
We didn't have any problems with the drinks apart from I had to drink vodka as bacardic wasn't included in the all inclusive.
The First Coice reps were very helpful, Chris the wavelnght rep was great, my son had a smashing time. The entertainments team were very hard working and friendly, they tried really hard to keep everyone entertained, it would have been better if there had been other acts brought in a couple of times a week (it would have given the team a break too).
There are a couple of bars near to the hotel which made a change, the kid's enjoyed the films in one and we were able to watch the rugby leauge in the other. Tanja travel close to the hotel was excellent, they were very helpful providing us with maps and information for our trip to Corfu town. The trip to the near by water park was fantastic we all had a great day out without traveling miles to the bigger one.
All in all this has to have been one of the best holidays we have ever had; it wasn't just the kid's that shed a tear when we left. We would recommend Blue Bay to everyone and yes we hope to return.

the hotel was very clean and well maintained.
the maid service was good ,we like the way that the maid made our beds and lay out our night clothes.
the food was good and the head chef was always around so you were able to talk to him. the snack bar was good the lady serving was nice ,but it should serve food until midnight.
the location of the hotel was abit isolated, but when you have the buses to other places it was ok.
the staff where nice the owner was very nice and spoke great english, but the bar staff were a little rude,by not serving you when you have waited along time to get a drink.
the enterainment staff worked hard and they where very good esp Claire.A big thankyou to the kids club reps esp spikey mikey who took our son under his wing

The positives - the place was very clean, room service was first class and the staff were excellent.
The negatives - This is NOT a four star resort. Don't be fooled stars are awarded for things like air conditioning and colour TVs in your room ( when was the last time you judged a holiday by the TV in your room - only English service is BBC World News and CNN - who on earth watches TV on a greek holiday?? )
Things that DO matter on your holiday were pretty sub standard. The pool for instance - where you will be spending most of your time. There are 190 rooms in BBE - thats roughly 800 guests at full capacity BUT there are only approximatley 200 sun loungers. Obviously I don't expect 800 guests to have a lounger each ( half will be kids anyway ) but a family of four should expect a least two loungers between them. But even if the hotel doubled the amount of loungers there is not enough room around the pool to accomadate them.
The pool area is only half the size it should be! Disgraceful for a '4 star' hotel! What this means in practice is that you have to fight for your lounger and if you do get one you are more jam packed together with your fellow guests than any other pool I have ever known - this is not relaxing luxury ( especially since half the kids buy huge infalatable boats and lilos that take up what little space there is left between the loungers ) - basically the hotel has cut corners on pool space , and it's the guests that suffer.
Secondly beer is served in tiny plastic cups, the same one that you get out of a coffe machine ( luxury eh!) and you can only get 4 drinks at a time from the bar ( more luxury !) so in order to enjoy , say 4 pints of lager in an evening you need to make twelve trips to the bar! Another cynical attempt to save money by the owners and prevent you taking too much 'free' beer that you have already paid for.
Thirdly the bar area is the reception area of the hotel, full of plastic sofas and with the lights blaring like an operating theatre - I have never seen a bar with less atmosphere! It was as comfortable ( and noisy and crowded ) as drinking in an airport lounge in Bulgaria. But of course everyone one was on full board so you HAD to stay there - after all you had already paid for your drinks so to escape to a real bar would not only cost you more money but waste what you had already spent! You are trapped! Of course the hotel ensures the experinence is even more uncomfortable by only employing a few bar staff and only serving beer in those tiny measures - plus you can only order 4 drinks at a time - therefore you seem always to be at the bar in a queue rather than relaxing and enjoying yourself!
Sorry about the rant - this hotel should be 2 stars! I have never had a less relaxing holiday. Never again!
