Most rooms have pool views. Visit Taverna Odas in the old town and The House on the main strip is brilliant for any time of the day.

The best rooms to stay are typically the ones that are located nearer the strip. Like Nefeli for example. It was 2 minutes from the night life but when you wanted to recover it was also out of the way, sharing a personal swimming pool with neighbouring ho

Make sure you buy or have air conditioning when you go. A lot of great places and bars to visit within 15mins walking distance. Gets very hot alot of people tend to hire quad bikes to get around.

Malia is 10 minutes away from the hotel. Stalis is also 10 minutes away but on the other side. The hotel is situated in the middle of these 2 resorts. If you want to party you go to Malia, if you want to relax you go to Stalis!

We went the first week of the season, so the town was a bit messy, but they seemed to be getting it sorted as the days went on. The nightlife is mad. Went in a number of bars, all good as eachother. Molly Malones, which is a small Irish bar is crazy!!. The beach is lovely and all the beach restuarants serve good meals and snacks. Mikes bar is a good one to go to. The restuarants on the main street are very friendly and clean and serve good food always followed by a shot with the bill!!, a bit different to the English way of After Eight mints, but we didn't complain. We would recommend Malia and we are going back!.

Well, as I am over 50 I guess I am not one to be giving Malia itself a brilliant report. It is definitely a place for youngsters with plenty of noisy bars with pole dancers, topless dancers, strip clubs and deafening music. I never thought that I would hear myself say that as I was a disco DJ for 13 years in the 70's and 80's and have the partial deafness to show for it. So take care and take it from someone who knows from experience. You WILL damage or even lose your hearing if you go to noisy bars too often......

Stalis itself is little more than a road lined with restaurants, bars and shops. Many of the bars and restaurants on the beach side of the road have space on the beach where they charge a reasonable sum for beds and umbrellas. The place is very clean. Beware motorists who don't appear to know what a "no entry" sign looks like, don't know what indicators are for and can be impatient of pedestrians who have no choice but to walk in the road as there are no pavements.

Malia is alot cleaner than I expected, the nightlife is good, but the music sways more towards R&B,if your into your hard dance music,I'd give this place a miss.

There are no 'lookie lookies' here which is a positive, but the pr's here are the worst I've seen, often dragging/carrying people into pubs.

One good way to solve this is to pick them up and carry them down the strip with you, they leave you alone then.

resort is for 18-30 style kids out for sexual and drunken kicks but be carefull of pickpockects, heavy handed security men, pervy greek men, and shops and bars rip you off... 5 euro a bottle of cheap vodka drink.? the PR are a real pain we got a water gun just to stop them bullying them into their bar, we all were annoyed with them by the middle of the holiday. some have no idea no manners and push you and invade your space by touching you and not letting you walk by freely.

The resort was really clean, people cleaned it whilst party goers slept. Malia had a lot of pubs that were open in the day, most serving food, the red lion served excellent food!

There are also alot of shops selling soveniers, alcohol and many other things. There are a few chemists and a medical centre. In the evening there are over 150 bars, pubs and clubs.

They all have a PR person outside them trying to get you in, they can get annoying but sometimes you can make good deals with them. One top tip - Tell every bar man/lady it's your birthday, then ask for a free drink, one night I think I got about 8!

We only went down to the beach one afternoon, but never tried any of the watersports because we were always to hungover. There were several places to eat along the beach and hundreds of sunloungers. The sea looked rough though.

10 of us went to Malia and we would all go back again!
