Most rooms have pool views.
Visit Taverna Odas in the old town and The House on the main strip is brilliant for any time of the day.

The best rooms to stay are typically the ones that are located nearer the strip. Like Nefeli for example. It was 2 minutes from the night life but when you wanted to recover it was also out of the way, sharing a personal swimming pool with neighbouring ho

Make sure you buy or have air conditioning when you go.
A lot of great places and bars to visit within 15mins walking distance. Gets very hot alot of people tend to hire quad bikes to get around.

Lovely beach though sunloungers were a bit expensive to hire unless you were planning a full day on the beach. Sea was clean and gorgeous.
We ate in three or four different restaurants serving plenty of choices between greek and english food. We found one that we particularly liked and returned there several times in the evenings.
There was an internet cafe for those who can't do without their daily ration of emails and msn messenger, so our daughter was happy. The town is clean with lots of shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes open until midnight (some stay open longer). I believe there were a couple of night clubs too. It would probably be quite noisy staying in Stalis itself but our apartments were about 20 minutes walk downhill to the town so we didn't hear it at all. You can hire cars, bikes and quad bikes though there were quite a few people taking risks with them and having accidents. There are no curbs on the roads so it's easy to steer your wheels off the edge of the road and end up in a heap!
Crete is beautiful and a visit to Knossos is a must.

The clubs and bars in Malia are great, once you get past the pushy reps that is!
We particularly liked Revolution to start off in, relaxed atmosphere and lovely cocktails that are bogof. The staff are extremely friendly and made my birthday extra special.
Paprika is good for the fact that between 11 and 1 its 6 euros all you can drink. We found out you can get through a lot of drink in that time.
We also liked Peach and Malibu sports bar although you go in so many that they are all the same after a bit.
The restaurants are all nice, except the ones in old town Malia, don't be fooled the food is just weird!! A word of advice don't order a cucumber salad!!

Plenty of bars and restaurants and within excellent reach of Malia. For a much more lively and wild night out(we recommend flares for a night of pure cheese),not for the faint hearted!
Lovely sandy beaches with clear blue sea, plenty of sunbeds available at a reasonable price. We will definitely visit here again soon!

By the end of the night the street was filthy but it didnt matter because if you are sobber enough to notice you shouldnt be in malia. The bars are brilliant something for everyone drinks are cheap or even free, clubs are also great. Beach is average quite entertaining with music and bars around.

Malia....well what can I say, best 2 weeks of me life. Was almost in tears when I left. Can't wait to go back, just 2 weeks of partying, mind took longer to recover.
Getting bad holiday blues and remembering my nights in Yaisou, Corkers, Zig Zag, Flares, Club UK, etc etc....EVERYWHERE!

Malia! Wow! What a fantastic place! Ideal for clubbers 18-30's holidays, not so ideal for families. During our time in Malia we came across a few 'terrified looking' families who had somehow managed to get caught up in the action of the main strip! The beach was great with a 24hr beach bar for everyone with energy left when the bars/clubs finish at 4 (6am on fridays and sat)
The twentys reps were a good laugh and no more pushy than any other reps!
I would highly recommend Malia to EVERYONE (except families and over 40's!)

I had the best time in Malia ever. It was totallly awesome.
The reps were wicked and I would definitely recommend going there.
I ended up paying 450 pounds for 10 days.. which before going I thought was expensive... but having been there, definitely worth it! Get booking!

The night life is out of this world with something for everyone, from garage and rnb to dance to karaoke on offer!! There are lovely restaurants open till very late if you fancy a quiet/romantic one or pubs and clubs open until very early if you're looking for a mad holiday!!! Malia is a fantastic resort and everyone I came across was friendly!! All I would pre-warn holiday makers about is the local children that sell things late at night, they were lovely but it might break your heart to see them having to do such sad things at such an early age!!
