Most rooms have pool views.
Visit Taverna Odas in the old town and The House on the main strip is brilliant for any time of the day.

The best rooms to stay are typically the ones that are located nearer the strip. Like Nefeli for example. It was 2 minutes from the night life but when you wanted to recover it was also out of the way, sharing a personal swimming pool with neighbouring ho

Malia is for young people in the brochure it says 25 mins to malia beach more like 45 to 50mins we had to hire a quad bike i am so glad we did just to get away from malia we spent most of the time in stalis. We did go to malia beach but all you could hear was thump!thump!thump!music on the beach.beach was clean and tidy and there was plenty of bars so you could get refreshments.malia was disappointing not many shops, stalis is much more interesting loads of shops and tavernas!

Malia its self is a great place, Whateva music you like you will find a bar that plays it. The beach for me is over crowded crammed with as many sun loungers as possible.

The accommodation was slap bang in the middle of the two resorts of Malia & Stalis, which is ideal. Malia is very lively with bars & clubs open all night and all day - if you like that sort of thing. Stalis is morelaid back, but still with its entertainment. We spent most of our time here to avoid what can only be described as the new brits abroad holiday centre in Malia.
It is possible to hire quad bikes (125 cc & under you don't even need a licence for! However if you are thinking of hiring one over this then you will need your full UK licence.) We saw young girls riding these quads and in some cases scooters & I mean young - 12 - 15 years old I would guess. There were so many on the roads it is a wonder that there are not more accidents than there are.

Malia was good, the PR staff were nightmare-ish trying to pull you into EVERY SINGLE BAR. But you get that at any clubbing place i guess! We tended to go out for our dinner then go back to the hotel and drink until 1 am and head out so we found a good excuse was to just say to the reps 'Oh we wil be back later, goin to get drinks at flat and coming back!' and tht tended to work. Clubs were good and if you get to go on school disco do it, and also the booze cruise- they were awesome! There were rumours when we were there that the bars sold turps not vodka- we still drank it and were fine but I wansnt fully convinced!
The most disappointing things for me were firstly the shops- all the shops are full of souvenier junk- no jewellery or nice things! We went to Zante the year before and the shops there were great. The other thing was at the beach the waves were always too 'wavey' to just go out and chill on your lilo. We did that a lot in Zante as the beach water is so calm.
A good holiday though!x

Loads or bars to choose from, only thing which let us down was the fact there isnt many good clubs. in two weeks we found ourselves ending up in candy most nights. beware of those gypsy women and children, they will go into your pockets!
