Fab place, very chilled. People are very friendly, excellent places to eat and drink. beach was lovely and the sea was clear however a little choppy!
The resort is great for all ages - there's a great mix. And for those wanting a more lively night, Malia is only a 20 minute walk (or 7 euros by cab) and Hersonnisos is a 5-10 min taxi ride for 10 euros!
A great resort to cater for all!

The resort of Stalis is lovely. Beautiful white sandy beaches and clear blue/green sea. There are plenty of resteraunts and bars to visit, the food was nice everywhere we went and really cheap. The people in Crete are the friendliest people I have ever met. There are lovely little souvenier shops along the main road and along the road at night people selling portraits or handmade goods. Nightlife was good, not too mad but a good night out. There are watersports to partake in at a good rate. We visited a waterpark which was only about £12 each for the day, there are lots of day trips to go on and it is easy to get to other nearby towns, in fact we walked into Malia it only took 35 mins. If you do visit make sure you visit Themis & have a chicken Giros. I will definately go back to Stalis in the future.

The resort was very nice clean and welcoming only one down side the quad bikes coming from malia. The best resturants we liked were Yannis golden heart in stalis and pocco loco {you must go to the loo in this resturant}, in malia old town and the large resturant in the old town I think its called the stan stephino or some thing like that. We found the greek tavernas to be the best the house red wine was superb in them all, we rarely had a meal we didnt like. the entertainment was very low key. would go back to Stalis again but not staying at the Ekati

The Resort of Stalis/Malia is very commercialised. It would appeal more to younger people as near by Malia has plenty of night life.If you want typical Greek with the culture/white washed buildings etc this is not the Resort for you.The visitors are mainly Brits and there is alot of English breakfast/roast dinner type of places to eat, with just a few Greek tavernas. The shops on the main Stalis/malia road are nice though.Luckily we stayed in a beautiful Hotel which made our holiday. On the plus side-it is very easy to get to other places on the Island as there is a very convient bus service going in both directions or you can hire a car.

The resort is clean and friendly. Yes there are lots of bikes going up and down the strip at stupid speeds, but you soon get used of this. The Airport in Crete is terrible, they could not organise a thing. Be careful as we got charged £70 on the way home for being 6lb over the weighing limit - which made them smile.
Very unhelpful people at the airport and your cases get scanned, if they do not like something in there, then they will search your case in front of everyone! But this was a small price to pay for an excellent holiday.
I would go back to Stalis in Crete anyday - loved it, reminded me of Zante.

the resort is very lively and lots going on.
lots of watersports.
buses available to other resorts, very cheap, avoid gypsy taxis.
even though the hotel was disgusting we did find lots of good pubs and restaurants.
meals very reasonably priced and lots of choice,
with some good entertainment most nights

Stalis is an excellent resort. It is in between hersonisos and malia. They are both within walking distance. Stalis is not as lively as the other two but still has a lot of good night life. Hundreds of restaurants to choose from. Pretty cheap to eat out and good quality food. The beach was great.

Stalis is suitable to everyone, families, young and old. The beach and the town are lovely and clean. There is entertainment for everyone. There are plenty of late night bars with music, quieter bars and many restaurants. We have a 3 year old son and everywhere we went they made a fuss of him and accomodated his needs. We would recommend the Anatalia for fantastic food and friendly service. Our favourite was Maria's Golden Sands for the best Greek food ever and the nicest staff. They also have plate smashing for the children and Greek dancing for all. If your going to Stalis you must go. They are both on the main Stalis strip.
