We found it very nice to walk along the beach with out any hassle we walked to Kardema most days visiting the local taverna's for the afternoon.
The resort is quite quiet but that is all we were looking for if you want nightclubs you want to go directly to Kardemena.
We also found a local taverna approx 10 minutes walk from Kalimera Kos run by a nice man call Janus if you get the chance go there you can even have some Greek coffee he is right next door to Big Mikes.
Overall resort quiet and peaceful - a Greek paradise.

The nearest resort at Kardamena is ideal if you are in your 20@s, single and interested in consuming as much alcohol as you can in the shortest possible time. Definately not relaxing with crowded bars and restaurants.

Very much a party town with lots of pubs and clubs for young people.
Good authentic Greek restaurants are available but you have to hunt them down away from the main strip, these restaurants have a well balanced menu that is well priced.
Whilst the town centre is very clean the accomodation area is like a building site with new apartments being built every where you look, lots of litter and broken bottles along with disgarded scrap cars and dust.
The beaches are full of broken glass and old building materials topped off by very old beach beds and tatty old sunshades.
The sea is very clean if you are snorkling off shore however be aware that there is a line of broken bottles and other waste resting on the sea floor about 25yrds from the beach.
If you want to go somewhere that is a 24hr party, like being hassled to step into shops and bars and are big on the cheap and tacky then this is the place for you.

The entire area around the Hotel / Resort was cleaned on a daily basis and even though the staff were obviously busy in there tasks, they always took the time to say good morning to you - a very pleasant change from the UK.
The beach area was busy, but never seemed to be overcrowded, the facilities were excellent, though maybe some of the water-sports a bit pricey. Refreshments were close to hand as was a Restaurant so that you only had to step off the beach to be fed - and the choice of food was very good.

The streets seem quite clean all the times we went out.
The nightlife consists of 2 main clubs Status and Starlight and then depending on your music tastes some others. Most of the bars will give free shots as you walk down bar street but it does become quite annoying when random people jump out in front of you pestering you to come to their bar for a drink.
Starlight hold foam party's which are excellent definitely recommended.
Closest beach is rather small but water sports offered are also quite cool.

The beech at the foot of the Hotel is like a fine shingle with rows of umbrellas, a couple of beech bars. There are Jet Ski's Catamans, water skiing, Paracending, Banana boats etc. at an extra cost. This is volleyball when someone can be bothered to arrange it.
The hotel is located about 10 minutes outside Cardimina town but a courtesy bus is available or local bus at a cost of 90 cents.
Cardimina is a lively town with a beech and key side, there are many shops, restaurants and bars all playing English football, Friends, Only Fools and Horses, and various stand-up comedy videos all blaring out as if in some sort of volume competition with each other, all adding to the atmosphere of the place.

Kardemna was quite lively very touristy, would recommend hiring mopeds only 16 euros or a car and getting out to see the island. The mountain roads can be frightening but give fantastic views of the island.
Kos town has a lot of ruins to see and some lovely shops but Kardamena is cheaper.
The beaches are shingle but very manageble, Bubble beach is volcanic and great for the kids to see the bubbles rising in the sea from the volcano.
All in all a great place but take plenty of money.

As we went near the end of the season, some of the clubs had already closed tho the main ones were still open, the end of season foam party in starlight was great, bit pricy for drinks tho. the resort is nice, lots of side streets & usual tourist shops, got loads of good pressies (try not to get lost tho). locals are very friendly and the greek resauraunts are just delish, need to give them a try. You will have to pay for loungers at the beach and it can be quite stoney at parts but still nice. I would definatly recommend Kardamena!!!

A very Very lively resort. Lots of Brit spots Much more geared up to late teens and twenty somethings, but we had a laugh anyway.
