Personally, I love Pefkos. It's a small resort and doesn't have many clubs so if you are looking for that kind of holiday, go to Faliraki. If you are a couple or family looking for a relaxing holiday with a choice of restaurants and bars then this will be perfect. The beaches around here are fantastic and it's reasonably cheap to hire a car in the town from 1 day to 2 weeks and they will usually do you a good deal. I have to say, for me Pefkos is perfect, not too busy but not too boring either. Highly recommended!

pefkos is beautiful and suitable for anyone. it provides quiet nights but can also provide lively, loud nights. whatever you are looking for you wil find it here!

This hotel is between Pefkos and Lardos, Pefkos has plently of places to eat and drink and the beach in this resort is stunning!
Lindos is a taxi ride away 10 euros and is a wonderful resort, plenty of shops small beach in st pauls bay (where my bother got married) beautiful views down to the small chapel.
If you are looking for the night life, Lindos is your place at night the bars turn into small discos. Taxi rank at both ends of the village to take you back to the hotel.
Lardos has nothing there, not really worth going too.
We thought the hotel was in a perfect postition as its quite and relaxed, but only a taxi ride away to the action.
The weather was fantastic for early june, very hot and sunny, a bit breezy at times though.

The resort was spotless really clean.The entertainment was good there are a good few bars and resturants to choose from.The beach was nice and quite its a small beach but excellent to go.Yes i am looking forward to going back.

A lovely, clean resort with very friendly local people who can't do enough for you. All the places to eat and drink were clean and well maintained, I never had a bad meal anywhere.

The best place in the evenings is the Eclipse bar, great music and friendly staff. Expect to see people dancing on the bar whilst it is on fire. Plenty for the kids with pool tables, internet access and various other kicking and punching machines. For food, we enjoyed both Greek and Chinese food at the Red Dragon. For fast food I would recommend Alexandra's. Really cheap and very tasty Pita wraps. The Matina Aparthotel was great for kids also and everyone is welcome to enjoy the pool and leisure facilities.

The beaches were lovely and clean and the sunbeds were a reasonable 4 euro each. Plenty of water sports and not too packed. I would certainly stop in Pefkos again and the kids loved it there

The resort is lovely to go and explore even with the children and Lindos is only down the road for more attractions.

Our children are young and we have been going for 3 years we love it.

The locals are great and just love you trying to speak the lingo and are only too happy to help should you need it.

Pefkos is a nice resort not too busy and plenty of restaurants to eat. We ate at The Blue Bay a few times and found it quite reasonable and the food was good. Also for a good choice of food Enigma was very good.

Pefkos seems to be getting bigger and in a few years it will probably be very busy.

So go now while its still got its charm.

A 10 minute stroll to Pefkos town centre every evening for our meal was ok, although still a little warm at about 8 o clock . (We were experiencing a heatwave , the hottest it had been in 50 years apparently ).

The food in the Hellas bar right at the end of the road was outstanding, this was easily the best place we ate during our stay, (and our friend nikos the bar man worked there during the evening. (God he worked some hours ). The steak special I ordered was cooked to perfection. It just melted in my mouth. The Shangai Indian/Chinese restaurant was also excellent. We had Indian one night then went back a few days later and had a Chinese , both meals were excellent. Although when we went for the Chinese they were very short staffed , but the wait was well worth it .


We also had a lovely meal at the smile garden , it eating area looked a bit boring (compared to enigma and nostalger)
but the food was great ( the jacket potato was excellent).
Enigma and Nostalger were nice but not as good as the others I have mentioned.

You should also try the fuse cocktail bar during the day , they do the most excellent alcoholic slush you will ever taste , and it cools you down . The eclipse pool bar is great , we didnt get time to go there in the evening so I cant comment on that but during the day it was lovely and massive , deep in parts pool , that was lovely and cold . It as a massive rock face on the back of it which doubles as a waterfall , you can jump off this waterfall into the pool , it about a 15 foot drop. The kids enjoyed jumping off this, they were up and down most of the time we were there, we went back for 3 days. They also have pool tables and computer games for the kids.

The best night bar is Pefkos by Night cocktail bar, unfortunetly we only found this on our last night, it had a brilliant atmosphere, fully air conditioned, pool tables and internet for the kids. The bar staff also did the throwing around of glasses and bottles during the making of cocktails which is fun to watch.

We booked our trips outside of the hotel, Thomsons prices are a bit steep. We went to the water park, which is great, it cost us less than half the Thomson price by booking it outside of the hotel. We also did a lazy day boat trip, when we got there we were a bit surprised because the boat was quite small, but we really enjoyed our day. We also went to Rhodes by Night, we only had about 4 and a half hours there which seemed to fly by so we only got to see a small part of it, but we came away from their with loads of presents.

We all agreed this was our best holiday , chilled and very relaxing, we will defenetly go back in the near future.

There are plenty of lovely bars and restaurants to choose from. Some even have small play areas for the children to enjoy whilst you wait for your meal or had a drink. We managed to eat in a different restaurant 11 out of the 14 days and have no complaints on any of them. The menu's are varied and reasonably priced.

The beach is a two minute walk from the hotel. It is quite small and was often very busy, therefore we did spend most of our holiday by the pool.

Overall, the Matina is an excellent hotel which we will definately go back to!

We stayed in Pefkos which was lovely.There wasn`t much to do during the day as a lot of places were closed ( it was too hot ) but it came alive at night.Lots of different places to eat and drink and all with very friendly staff. The beach isn`t very big but is clean and the crystal clear water is a pleasure to swim in.
