We were very impressed with the resort and the choice of restaurants to eat in.The only thing that we did notice was that there are hardly any restaurants in resort with a play area in them. From recent visits to Greece we find they are a God send whilst trying to eat.The places that we enjoyed the best were Georges Taverna , Artemis Garden and The Greek House We were told that Nostalgia was the best in Pefkos ....what a joke, it was a lovely setting but my god was a lousy meal!!! Another good place to eat was the Two Brothers ...Try the stuffed chicken..really filling, and my god you feel like the chicken when your finished.
The beach in Pefkos is beautiful. The sea is crystal clear and warm. My hubby snorkled and said that the fish were amazing. Its really narrow on the beach which is better with children otherwise your worrying that they are going to wonder off and get lost. Its easier to keep your eye on them.
By the way.......... we couldn't fing anywhere that braided hair in the resort. Aparrently the nearest is in Rhodes Town....but....guess what....just down from reception is a hairdressers ...pop in and ask her as you'll have to book, and the lady in there has a lady come in to braid for her. We paid 35 euros per half head, but bearing in mind this is only took about 40 minutes and the we were sat in a fully air conditioned hairdressers. This definately beats sitting on the side of the road in the warm heat.
Oh well ...you never know we may see YOU out in the Matina next year.
See you same time, same place Leanne ( NEATH ) Paul (GLASGOW} and the rest of your gang.. us women will have to do Amarillo next year mind .. ok
Well we are comng back next year, even though I don't like going to the same place again as there are so many places to visit, but this one is a must.

The resort was very clean plenty of Taverna's, resturants, Bars and several had children's play areas if needed. Plenty of supermarkets that stayed open till gone 11.00pm. Thank goodnes there were not to many english bars with football and loud music. The beach is small but clean with lovely clear sea. We will be returning this year. Wedding reception was held at the Hellas resturant which was outstanding for staff and food ate there a few times afterwards. The bar below Enigma has cappacino, cakes and ice creams that make sure you put weight on.

This is the first visit to Rhodes & it won't be the last we had a great time, Pefkos is a very nice resort with plenty of tavernas & bars to suit every one.
We ate out of the hotel most nights & did not have a bad meal anywhere . all the locals are very friendly & there was no "hassle" in wanting you to go into their shop or resturant as in some other places.
Pefkos was clean the odd bit of litter blowing in the breeze, beach was good but could get crowded in main season, entertainment plenty of bars with large screen tv's, music bars, didn't see a disco but most hotels have a disco & karioke ? As part of their entertainment programe.
This is the first week of the season & not everywhere is open yet. Nice resort will be going back again.

Pefkos has everything you need for a 1 to 2 week holiday but don't forget to see other parts of the island if you can. There is some wonderful scenery and cuisine to be found if you travel inland.
Places to eat: Philosphia - best pepper steaks I ever had.
Two Brothers and Oasis.
Cool Bars: Rock G@rden, Jimmy's (comfy chairs), Oasis and Kelari Bar.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Pefkos. It was quiet enough not to have rowdy gangs on the street at night, but buzzing enough to be enjoyable. The quality of the restuarants was excellent & they were plentiful enough that we could have eaten out in a different place every night for 2 weeks if we had chosen to.
The resort has a lovely airy feel to it & wasn't crowded whilst we were there. It was very clean & everyone was very helpful.
We took a taxi to Rhodes (the taxies have fixed prices,so you won't get ripped off),Lindos & Lardos.Rhodes & Lindos were lovely, but none of us liked Lardos & were glad we hadn't chosen to stay there.
I can highly reccomend Pefkos, especially for those with small children.

Pefkos itself is a lovely resort, still traditionally Greek with plenty or bars / restaurants to choose from. The best restaurant by far was ANIXIS (turn left at end of main beach road and walk about 10 minutes heading towards Lindos) the food was excellent and was the cheapest by far (added bonus of small out door play area for the children). Also very good was Smile, Artemis and Enigma.
VERY disappointing were Roumeli and Zorbas – avoid and don’t be tempted with 3 course specials.
The best bar was the Kelari bar – staff made you feel like a local and were great with the children.
If you go definitely go for a trip on the glass bottom boat to Lindos – its worth every euro. Lindos is beautiful and the donkey ride is a must. We opted for taxi back which only cost 6 euros.

Pefkos is a fantastic resort to do just as much or as little as you like, its very laid back, easy going and a safe environment. There are plenty of small bars and restaurants and supermarkets. The Wild West Bar is a particular favourite if you want a lively time, or the Theon Cafe Bar is nice for a quite drink and snack. The Med Bar at Evi Studios is great on Friday night for Karaoke, getting Taz to do a turn is always good fun and just makes everyone else realise that they are not that bad after all. The beaches are really good and its the only time I ever swim in the sea. Poppys supermarket (opposite Evi Studios) has everything you would need and tends to be slightly cheaper than the other supermarkets. Lindos is a 10 minute taxi ride and well worth a visit, 5 minutes in the opposite direction is Lardos where you can mix with the traditional Greek way of life. All in all Pefkos has everything anyone could need for a great holiday.
