The resort was ideal and the shops were easy located, my son and his girlfriend spent money on designer clothes and they were not too expensive. There was some really good restaurants as well and very reasonably priced, there was one restaurant which sold Chinese and also Indian so you could mix and match the menu We were very lucky with the weather as we had 5 good HOT days and 2 cloudy days as we were leaving the weather turned and there was a thunder storm and i believe from the weather reports it has not changed since then........I would def recommend these apartments and would come back again but with a different holiday company as Direct Holidaysflight times were too much with ayoung child ( arriving in the early hours of the morn and departing the early hours of the morn)

This is not a resort I would have normally have chosen (I perfer something more traditional) but it looked suitable for my mother who has mobility problems.

However, I loved it! We never made it to the beach as it was too far from the hotel for my mother. I did walk down there and it seemed pleasant enough.

Pefkos has a wide range of tavernas, restaurants and bars to suit every taste. It would be a good place for families with children as it's easy to get around with a buggy.

Buses take you to Lindos (some people like it) and Rhodes Town or hire a car and explore the inside of the island. Or try a coach tour to the winery, Valley of the Butterflies and potteries.

We stayed in Pefkos which other than Lindos I think is the nicest resort in Rhodes.

Great nightly entertainment and a good choice in Restaraunts.

Nice beach although can be a little narrow and because of this can seem busy.

Dirty, Sweaty and a bit boring to be honest. All the resturants serve the same menu's, all the shops are cheap tack soveniers. The beach was very small, a lot of rubbish and sometimes got so windy that you got sandblasted. There isn't a lot to do at all?!

Near by Lindos was nice!

Again another fantastic stay in Pefkos, can't wait to get back again in June.

And to stay at the Karpathios studios.
Another wonderful welcome from all the locals.

Food fantastic, and great to meet people on st thomas beach who comes back year after year.

Enjoyed our evenings in the eclipsebar, which has always been our favorite music bar for a few drinks, after a meal in the many fantastic restaurants.

Just can't wait to get back in 2007...

If you want a laid-back holiday then Pefkos is for you. There really is not much to do in Pefkos. There is one main road which can be walked at a reasonable pace within about 20 minutes.

There are two or three roads leading to the beach area which regrettably is not very big. The sand at the beach is ok - lots of ciggies lying in the sand (I didn't like that) but nothing can be done about that.

From a smaller beach you can go on the glass bottom boat to the lovely nearby town of Lindos. The boat trip was really lovely. I won't say what it's like as I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone but it was fun. If you go to Lindos you have to climb up and up and up to get to the Acropolis.

As you make your way up you are walking through little cobbled alleyways full of shops. These alleyways are a bit slippery owing to the fact that they are made entirely of pebbles.

Also on the way up to the Acropolis you are greeted with the local 'taxi' i.e. the donkeys. Lots of people going up and down via this mode of transport. The donkey's stink. When you get to the top of the trail to the Acropolis it costs 6 euros to get in but it is well worth the stunning views you get. Great for picture taking.

The walk up is very tiring especially in the searing heat so it's not good for people with walking difficulties or asthma.

There are lots of restaurants in Pefkos so you are spoilt for choice. The nightlife is pretty quiet apart from one corner where there are three bars all competing with each other to see who can make the most noise. Karaoke eat your heart out.

Best to book a tour to Rhodes town from one of the local tour operators rather than through your holiday company because as per usual it is a lot cheaper. All in all a restful holiday but now that we've visited Rhodes we won't go back.

Pefkos is a lovely little resort with all the pubs and restaurants close by.

We liked the main beach where we never had a problem getting a sunbed (4 euros per bed).We tried the other beach (turn left after the Pefkos by night bar) which was quieter but quite pebbly at the water's edge which hurt your feet when you were getting into the sea.

We loved the glass bottom boat trip to Lindos and back - great fun and thoroughly recommended.

Being vegetarian we wondered whether we would struggle to eat in the restaurants, but we had no trouble although the choices tended to be veggie lasagna, moussaka, pasta or pizza. We particularly liked Enigma and Nostalgia restaurants. We found the waiters in the Nostalgia to be very friendly and good fun.

There were numerous bars but a lot of them tended to have very loud football on the TV screens. OK if you like football but not if you dont. Try Pane di Capo bar (next to the Enigma restaurant) if you want nice surroundings and a chilled out barman - they also do amazing cakes and ice creams.

We loved Pefkos and can't wait to go back!

Pefkos is great. Exactly what we wanted, chilled out yet still plenty to do and in a very good location for exploring all of rhodes.

The nightlife in Pefkos isn't what I would call low key, however proportionately there are many more restaurants than bars.
Ideal for self catering breaks. Still lots of lively bars amongst the restaurants.
We did find ourselves heading back to our hotel by 10pm or so on a few nights, simply because the bar there was good, staff and guests very friendly, cocktails to die for and stayed open til as late as you could drink!

Pefkos is very clean and during the day is very quiet. The main beach is quite crowded but St Thomas Beach is lovely and Plakias beach is more spacious. You can use just about any of the pools in pefkos and there are lots to choose from. There are lots of restaurants serving good food. It wasn't as quiet as I expected on a night, with quite a few music bars, although most nights everything was quiet by midnight. Would have prefered to have escaped the screening of live football matches but I doubt that's possible anywhere these days! Charming little resort with everything you need for a relaxing week.
