Pefkos has everything you need. Supermarkets, clothes shops, jewellery shops, chemists, banks etc. There are not lots of pubs, but there is enough. Perhaps more entertainment in pubs would be useful. There is live bands once or twice a week but all hotels who have accommodation welcome people. There are lots of restaurants - we never had a bad meal. Pefkos is also very near to Lindos - which is beautiful. We are going back for our third time next year.

Pefkos is a small but busy resort. There are plenty of bars and restaurants but we did not find it too noisy.
We only visited the beach a couple of times throughout our stay but it was clean and only a short walk from our apartments.
The choice of restaurants was very good and we tried a few different ones and always had an excellent meal at a reasonable price with very friendly and helpful staff.

Pefkos is a really lovely quaint resort. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and tavernas offering a wide range of entertainment. It has 3 beaches a main one with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas and two smaller gorgeous little cove type beaches which are usually pretty quiet.

There were plenty of bars and resaurants to choose from , we especially liked the hellas and the enigma restaurants. all it was missing was more beach front bars and restaurants as we like to be near the sea in the evening and stroll along the front. marias supermarket was the cheapest, it sold a litre of shmirnof vodka for 8 euros!! overall a lovely family resort and i would definatley recommend.

This was our first greek experience and what a great place. Pefkos is just perfect if you want to chill out and eat lots of lovely food.
We have two young kids ages 4 and 3 and ate out most nights, we did not have one bad meal in a fortnight. Recommend the mixed greek plate in the Greek House(delicious). We were in Pefkos during the world cup so my husband can recommend Kelaris bar as visited on a few ocassions - they serve nice cocktails too. There are lots of restaurants to choose from - Greek, Chinese, Italian, Indian.
Resort entertainment mostly restaurants and some bars.
Beach was small but nice and the sea is beautiful for swimming.
I would return to Pefkos as it is a lovely resort and Lindos is only 3 miles away.

This is one of the friendliest resorts we have stayed in. That includes tourists as well as the locals. Each restaurant is as good as the next. Food is of a very high quality. Not the best place if your young and looking for a really lively holiday and hopefully it will stay like this. Why spoil a good thing!

Loved the resort of pefkos. Plenty of places to eat and drink and not too expensive either.
Pefkos beach was very clean and not too crowded.
Would definitely visit Pefkos again

We have just returned from Pefkos (or is it Pefki?) after two weeks of glitch-free vacation. This was our first time on Rhodes but we had already been told that it was nice. Sorry, this report might be a little lengthy.
We stayed at the Lindia Thalassa Apartments which we have reviewed under that heading.
Transfer by coach from the airport in the middle of the night, with no stops, took about 50 minutes.
Pefkos as a resort has plenty of tavernas, bars, and shops to last a two-week vacation.
The beach is not too bad and 2 sunbeds and a parasol cost 8 Euros for the day. The (Mediterranean) sea was quite warm for the time of year. There are a couple of vehicle hire outlets where, with a bit of skilful bargaining, you can hire a little car with A/C for around 120 Euros for a week.
The shops are adequate and stock a reasonable selection of foodstuffs you would see at home and the prices are pretty good. The other goods in the shops are the usual tourist-type souvenir items.
There are several really good restaurants which we will list.
Enigma. It is busy, clean, comfortable and the food is good as are the prices.
Oasis. With its own swimming pool and sunbathing area, has to be visited. The menu and food is very good and the staff excellent. They also have an array large screen TVs for watching the Cricket, Formula 1 or the big footie game (World Cup approaching).
Terpsis. Also a very nice restaurant.
Coliseum. As good as Enigma.
Two Brothers. A must-visit. First class food. Excellent service.
Philosophia. As the closest to our accommodation, we visited several times. The slightly elevated prices are worth the visit. The menu is not extensive but everything we ate was as good as you would expect from a gourmet restaurant. The service and the staff were wonderful. Add to this the beautiful view over the sea and you have bliss. Visit at sunset with your camera and you won’t be disappointed.
There are several other good restaurants which we had reports of good food. Vinos, for instance, does a monster-sized mixed grill. We never tried it but it sounded good.
You can get Indian and Chinese meals but we never tried them.
We had one day where the clouds were about but other than that, the days were warm. Towards the end of the vacation, the temperatures were starting to get up into the high 20s. This time of the year, consider taking a fleece or similar for the evenings as they can seem quite chilly, especially if the wind gets up.
Mythos or Amstel on draught is fetching about 3.00 Euros for 500ml.
There are several cocktail bars; Eclipse, Rock@Garden, Jimmy’s, Pefkos by Night which we recommend. Take your camera for capturing the sparklers in the cocktails. The bar staff will take your picture.
The whole resort is predominantly aimed at Brits.
Almost all the locals have very good English but try to pass the time of day in Greek. You should have this down pat within a day or so. The Greek people respond well to this.
The Greek word for “thank you” is also appreciated. And don’t forget “Yammas!” when served your drink.
We found out, towards the end of the vacation, that the mozzies are quite vicious. We ran out of the anti-mos we were using and ended up with some kind of herbal/organic concoction which proved to be completely ineffective. All the time we were using Autan we had no problem, but when we used the other stuff we bought locally (even though it was a UK branded manufacturer), we were on the menu – meaning we can home with some very sore legs. Unless you’re allergic to Autan (in which case you may have use the organic stuff), take plenty with you in the pump-spray format and make sure your exposed areas are smothered before sunset each day. Get the anti-mos plugins for your room too if you plan to leave windows open.
We didn’t see or hear of any aggravation while we were there. The whole resort is laid-back which makes for a nice relaxing vacation.
Taxies are 6 Euros and 10 minutes into Lindos which is well worth a visit. Agree the price first. Check out the glass-bottomed boat trip. At 10 Euros per person, this was good fun. We didn’t try the donkey ride to the acropolis.
All-in-all, we had a very nice time and are already planning to return next year. This will be the first time we will have returned to a vacation destination.
