Pefkos was everything we hoped it would be and more!!The beach isn't huge but plenty of sunbeds and very clean with lots of lovely reasonably priced tavernas within easy reach. The tavernas stayed open until the early hours(apparantly) being middle aged we needed our sleep so didn't hang around much after midnight!!Loads of lovely food didn't have one bad meal and we ate out every day.

As a young couple we weren't sure whether there would be enough to keep us amused in Pefkos for two weeks - how wrong we were! There are countless restaurants and bars to keep you going during your holiday, all with really friendly staff. We ate out every night and still hadn't made our way around all the restaurants. Highlights were definitely the Two Brothers, Hellas and the chinese/indian above Rock Bar. As for bars, our favourite was Ela Mesa which was towards the end of the main strip. They have a brilliant cocktail menu and Stu, the barman, will keep you entertained and make you whatever you want. If you're in a group or make friend, check out the fishbowl challenge while you're there! Pefkos by Night was another good one. Aside from the entertainment, the resort itself was absolutely beautiful. The views from the beach were amazing and the sea was turquoise. Fantastic. There are loads of little supermarkets in the resort if you want to stock up, which are pretty reasonably priced. Also,if you get the chance, definitely visit the Acropolis in nearby Lindos and a night out there is well worth it. Pefkos is a great resort for people of all ages and I'd definitely stay there over other busier places in Rhodes.

Pefkos is a lovely family resort bars and restuarants a plenty caters for all tastes and all extremely friendly. Lindos the next resort along the bay is not to be missed, neither is the golden beach.

The resort of Pefkos is situated within a large bay in the shadow of a steep mountainside.Without doubt Pefkos is geared up for Middle aged Familys or for people looking for a peaceful holiday,no 18-30 here. The resort itself is clean and safe and just about retains a 'Greek' feel to it despite the sheer number of Brits who flock there in the summer months. The beach is safe, narrow yet sandy, there is good snorkelling but no other watersports...as yet. You can however hire a boat trip to nearby Lindos(recommended)and Im told you can even now try a microilight flight to whizz you around the bay!
We would recommend this resort to those who appreciate fine Greek food within a safe envirement run by people who always have time for a smile.
Please dont spoil it.

We really like Pefkos, most of the tavernas we went to were of excellent standard. We particularly enjoyed Spitaki (the little house) and Kavos. Both tavernas are a bit more expensive than the other places but are well worth it.

Resort was very pleasant, quite small and friendly. Enough shops and restuarants to keep you going for a week without getting bored. It was mostly clean and tidy.
The beach at Pefkos is quite long and narrow, just enough room for your sun lounger before getting into the sea. Not a great deal of room for children to play and dig. Two beach snack bars at opposite end of beach but we did not try these. Shower on the beach great asset so not so much sand in your bed! Lots of steps down to beach but well maintained and handrails to use. Overall very clean and nice.

We chose to steer clear of any of the Thompsons tours, choosing to make our own decisions regarding amusement on a day to day basis. I can heartily recommend the glass bottomed boat trip from Pefkos harbour to Lindos, the captain is very amusing and a laugh a minute as he takes you to explore some of the nooks and crannies along the coastline (Hang onto your breakfast though, when he opens the throttle on that boat it don't half shift)
We caught the service bus to Rhodes town, a very reasonable 4.30 euros each way.
Lindos is a great day out, if you're feeling energetic you can trek up to the Acropolis, it's a torturous walk but worth it for the breath taking views or you can just chill-out on the beach which is wider and less rocky than the one in Pefkos (Only 6 euro by taxi)
As for eating out, we sampled the cuisine at a different restaurant almost every night. Of the the Greek ones Nefeli and Georges are good but Vinos, which is situated very close to hotel on the left hand side as you walk towards town, set back from the road, was by far our favourite.
If you want a change from Greek food, the Red Dragon is very good but we would heartily recommend Shanghi which is situated directly opposite the Red Dragon, it is excellent and serves not only Chinese cuisine but Tai and, would you believe, Indian so your choices are endless, well worth the walk.
Would we visit Pefkos again and stay at the Pefki Islands again the answer would be a resounding yes to both questions. A brilliant fortnight, one word of warning though, if a rowdy drunkard nightlife and loud over crowded beaches are your thing may I suggest Falloraki. Pefkos might be a little too sedate for your tastes. Perfect for us though!
