Ok could be better, the beach needed a clean.

In regards to the resort itself its not as big as some of the others but has everything you could need pubs, restaurants etc. Most of the entertainment is in the hotels but the restaurants are lovely.
The resort was clean no problems there.
The beach wasnt the best that ive seen although they say that they keep it as natural as possible as the turtles lay their eggs there. However i believe that it could of been kept cleaner, you would see alot of ciggarette ends on the beach and some rubbish too (no need for this). With all that said it was lovely to sit on and because they cannot put up sun loungers everywhere it wasnt totally packed.
I would definitly reccommend Kalamaki if you want a quieter holiday.

No complaints regarding the resort, it was clean, entertainment was varied, there was something for everyone from bars playing live music to karoke, bingo, quiz nights and of course football.
The beach was clean and plenty of sun beds for hire.
Would definately visit this resort again.
The only thing that upset us was the amount of stray dogs around the resort.

Kalaimaki has the mixture of young and old entertainment crystal beach was just outstanding and you can understand why the turtles lay eggs there would with out a doubt return

Very nice resort with lots of nice bars and restaurants to visit but was not impressed with the beach at Kalamaki or Lagana.
The best beach on the island was at Vasillikos!

Eating out in the evening was great, found some excellent tavernas. For younger people Lagannas only a short bus ride.

This was our first time to kalamaki although family members have been before and are going back next year it was not what we had expected. The resort is fairly clean but, the beach was full of fag ends and to be honest the beach is not up to much at all. The entertainment in the resort is all sports bars and karaoke which is okay if you like that but, personally I prefer much more family based entertainment. I would not say this is the worst resort but, I would not visit again. While we were there we did visit other places on the island and found them to be more to our taste. I must add that this is not a big resort and it is not typicaly greek as it is an awfull lot of young british people that work in the bars etc. We did not experience any trouble with gypsies but, many people did and some were quite intimidated by them. If you stay on the main strip I feel it would be quite safe.

quiet resort and coming to the end of the season a lot of palces were closing up....Alsandros was the place we ate most nights and the food was excellent along with the staff who made us most welcome....very relaxing holiday would go again...got what we paid for and wouldnot expect 5* at 3* prices...... great for adults to relax. would go again the sun shone non stop....fantastic

Kalamaki is a great resort, it is ideal for families and for people who want a fun night out without the inflated prices of Laganas.
There's only one decent night club - Plus Soda, which is brilliant, with friendly staff who know how to make you have a good time.
I was in there regulary until 5 am! Their entertainment is good too, with a chance to win the jackpot of €3000 in the quiz!
Mermaids is a cracking restaurant, great for breakfasts and evening meals, and situated in the middle of the main strip. Do visit the old Kalamaki road part though, as there are more bars & restaurants here too.
The beach is a little disappointing, but I prefer the pool anyway. I've already booked to return to Kalamaki, and can't wait.
