Lovely resort overall, busy but not overly so, enough bars and restaurants to have different choice every night, some excellent some not so good but if we all liked the same life would be boring!

There are numerous shops and restraunts. We especially liked Artemis( the waiters were really friendly and the food was excellent) but most of the places have great food and friendly staff.Went on the full day boat trip which was fantastic but a really long day.Booked the trip up on the strip much cheaper than the reps as you will find with most things. All in all a great holiday and we would go back. The only downside was returning home, the airport is so disorganised but hopefully it will get better when we go back

The beach at Kalamaki is excellent, long and sandy and great for children as it shelves gently, well worth hiring a pedaloe to see the turtles. There are plenty of good restaurants to eat, we particularly enjoyed going to Paulos on the main road, great greek food, great service and reasonable priced.

Kalamaki is a great resort. Loads of bars and resteraunts on the strip with plenty going on but not rowdy. Prices are reasonable and the food is 1st class with something for everybody. The beach is fantastic. It gently slopes into the sea which makes it safe and great for kids. There are no motorised watersports on the beach as it is a protected area due to the Logahead Turtles comming on to the beach to lay their eggs. You can spot many of them and can swim with them. You are very close to the airport but this doesn't seem to bother people. Had a walk on the beach to Laganas and walked back after 30 mins as we didn't like it as it reminded us of Magaluf in Majorca. Kalamaki is much better and suited to families, couples, young and old.

Lovely beach - if the journey to it doesnt wipe you out. It's a long way away, walking the hot tarmac and dodging mopeds. Forget buses too. Cabs are the only real option but there goes your spending money.
