Buggiba is a nice pleasant place but the night time is a bit hard to find something to do if you have three teenage girls with you.
I think I would have been better off in Sliema where they have more and better shops and the bars aren,t all up side and back streets where no one seems to go.
The Mcdonalds in Buggiba is a must I would bet there is not a Mcdonalds in the world with a better view. I must mention the bar and restaraunt THE PEARSONS just further down from Mcd,s on the otherside. Breakfast is great. Must also mention BOGNORS resturant on prom just up from main square. Service was rubbish. Waiter got grumpy because we did not pull two tables together even though they were next to each other, but the girls wanted to sit on there own and he semed to have a problem with this.

The resort was fairly clean and the people are very friendly didn't really see much entertainment.
Unfortunately the Hotel has put us off visiting again. When we were there the place was full of foreign students causing havoc everywhere and making general pests of themselves.
There is a good selection of bars and restaurants and fairly good shops.

Bugibba is a typical Maltese resort time. Lots of restaurants and bars. Lots of new hotels being built and the older ones getting frayed around the edges.
If you enjoy meeting the locals just walk about slightly off the main beat. We were lucky and found a church fieste with parades, bands, street parties and fireworks.

Quite dirty, in need of good makeover.
Not much to do at night except the bingo or Karaoke but even then was lifeless.
Too many pensioners ... it was like grab a gran plus they lacked basic manners.
Will definately not be returning. Needs to cater better for tourists!!

The cleanliness of the resort was not bad on the sea front but the further back you went the place looked like a building site and the local cats left their parcels on the pavements.
Resort entertainment is well not for young singles, mainly restaurants.
No beach at this resort.
We wouldn't visit Bugibba as a first choice of resort.
All in all we loved Malta and would certainly go back but to a different resort.

The resort of St Pauls is very quiet, reminded me of Budleigh Salterton (older persons retirement village). Full of benches overlooking the harbour (water filthy, full of rubbish). 10 mins walk is the resort of Buggiba which is also not the best. Same shops, selling same old tat. It was like Skegness with sunshine. I would strongly recommend that unless you are over 60 you do not holiday in either St Pauls or Bugibba. Try St Julians. Its a real shame because my partner and I have left Malta with the attitude of never returning.

No beach as such and watch the sea urchins as my partner and my daughter had them stuck in their feet.
There is a bar called the Falcon in the back streets that is run by an ex pat Steve. He makes you very welcome and he also runs a book club so if you need something to read over your holiday you can loan one from him. The Falcon has entertainment most nights including kareoke and quiz nights. The beer is cheep in there well worth finding, it is opposite the Bugibba Holiday Complex.
Plenty of gift shops including a lace shop that I couldn't get my partner out of and losts of jewellary shops too. Some shops give you a discount card for you to use if you go in again so my advice would be buy one item and if you get a voucher go back to get the expensive stuff later.
The buses run on a Sunday too, not a good place to walk around as the drivers just drive at you and beep and the pavements are slippy and uneven.
The people are very friendly and all speak English.
