We had room 625 on the top floor overlooking the pool. It was perfectly adequate and not much road noise. A bit small but ok for 2 people as you don't spent much time in it apart from sleeping. Lovely modern walk in shower.

We really loved the resort it was great, the streets were very clean, workers were up at the crack of dawn cleaning the streets and paths.
We had plenty to do there. We went to hydro park which was good, my son had a good time, but I did think there would be more slides.
When we go again we will get the bus and go to Aqua park which is near the airport but it will be worth it as there is much more to do and a lot more slides.
The glass bottom boat to Formantor is a must, it was great, even though you only get to spend an hour there it was brill, well worth it just to go on the boat which takes you round the cliffs which is lovely to see.
The beach was lovely, it was clean and the sea was clean, I must say there was a funny smell in the air on the beach which I was not sure of but it was not that bad to put us off, there are people that go round with a wheel barrow full of fruit ie melon, pinapple, coconut.
It is 5 euros for a slice but then again there slices are big, if you ask for pinapple you get a half. The locals and all staff in shops we found very, very friendly. Oh and I have to mention the deathly main road????
Well we had no problem with it, yes it was busy but not manic and anyone would think that they were driving at 60mph. All you need is a little patience and wait for a safe space to cross. I just think some people have to find something to moan about.
We will definatley be going back to Alcudia in the future as we felt at ease and safe there. I would say it is definatley worth a visit.
But please, please, please do not go on the horse and carts, imagine running up and down from 8am until 2am because that is exactly what the horses do, and the majority of the horses there are under fed and shattered.
So please if you do think about it, just remember who is pulling your weight and who is gaining from it because it definitely is not the horses it is the persons pocket, where as you could save yourself money and have a lovely walk instead.

We stayed in the Port of Alcudia, which is full of bars and resturants all child friendly. Nice and relaxed atmosphere, no lager louts or binge drinkers.
All in all quite safe to walk around but beware of pick-pockets. The weather was a little cloudy but still nice and hot, some tropical storms at night.
There are some great places to eat try Gerardo and Carinas cafe opposite the Viva Golf hotel, good english food at reasonable prices. Also The Carabella Steakhouse near the entrance to the beach, a good appetite is needed. Another is the Nova Marina just opposite the marina, again a good appetite is necessary.
The resort is basically clean but beware of uneven pavements especially for the elderly. The Port is very picturesque and unspoilt. The stretch of beach is just right and cool to walk on the sand. If you go into the sea keep a eye out for jellyfish.
Be very wary of using the cash machines as if you get your pin number wrong it only gives you one chance to correct it. Shop around for exchange rates and enjoy yourselves, its lovely.

Great beach, the kids walked out into the sea forever and still only got up to the knees really nice to be at the beach and not have to worry about them going out of the depth.

Beach and resort were very clean and tidy, beach is lovely. There is some good entertainment and places to eat.We had very good meals at El Tabel lovely steak, and at the beach front Restaurante El Leon Rojo. The Swan pub has a good choice of food and has good evening entertainment if you like a quiz, bingo and snail racing. There are plenty of shops around from souvenir shops supermarkets, perfume and leather shops.Ther are plenty of taxis if you want to go into the port of alcudia.

The resort of Playa-de-Muro is one long strip with hotels sandwiched between the main road and the beach. In the area around the hotel there are plenty of arcades and SPAR shops but not much else - a sort of 'in between place' with little in the way of evening entertainment & Alcudia Port was little better. The old town was nice.

We have been to Alcudia four times now and we love the place. It is ideal for families. The resort caters well for children, with amusements and rides/
Loads of restaurants, especially like El Toro and Roma's.
Beach is excellent.
We will definitely return next year!
