We had room 625 on the top floor overlooking the pool. It was perfectly adequate and not much road noise. A bit small but ok for 2 people as you don't spent much time in it apart from sleeping. Lovely modern walk in shower.

Porto Alcudia was very nice, and lots to see, plus lots of places to eat and have a beer or two.. I went in the sea and it was nice and warm. No unruley Brits or anything like that. Might not be enough for kids to do, but lots of shops, and the old town is good, plus the new part is good too.

We would go back to here again. Our best day was on the trip to the port of soller, on a train, tram and boat, very good indeed................

Pot-holes in pavement around trees on Bellvue strip a big problem(saw quite a few people fall while we were there).
This really does need attention.

There is also the occasional smell of drains wafting around the resort (off putting when your tucking in to your evening meal).

Another problem is with mosquitos which was worse of an evening and all our family were bitten on numerous occasions(I personally think this is down to the dirty canals and lakes around the resort which possibly makes them thrive).

All in all the place wasn't my cup of tea .

Oh, forgot to mention the beach which is big and has sand on it.

Last of all there was entertainment in the resort, but unfortunately we couldn't find it.

Playa de Muro is a quiet resort with a beautiful beach and a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Nightlife is very low key and the entertainment for mid September was quieter than expected.
The one thing that annoyed me was the litter close to the nature reserve and it was a bit grubby. The main streets were ok though.
It has some great hotels with direct access to the beaches and because of this i would revisit the resort, but perhaps at high season where it might be a bit more lively.

I think the hotel was in a good position as its only about a 5minutes walk to the main restaurants (shops along the way).

The buses were a pain as we were waiting an hour an half for one, one day and when they do come they are always packed and you cant always get on.

The beach was nice but be careful as we saw 2 jelly fish in different areas right by the shore. The drinks are also expensive on the beach.

Alcudia is quite a trip from the airport so is not for those that perhaps suffer travel sickness or dont want to spent around an hour and 20 mins plus on a coach.

In the centre there are plenty of bars and restuarants to cater for everyone, inlcuding family run english pubs, chinese and indian restaurantes and one or two clubs and late bars for the young or young at heart. The marina is a quiter area with plenty of shopping botiques and beach bars. The beach stretches from the marina all the way past the main resort and towards c'an picafort and its lovley and clean, sunbeds are hired for 3.50 euros for the day, however we found that if you go after around 1 o'clock they are free. sunbeds under the parasols can only be hired as a pair for 7 euros but if you are planning on spending a full day at the beach well worth the shade at times. Overall i would definately visit alcudia again in the future.

i love alcudia!! this was my second time and i dont think you can beat the beach! it is especially good for children as it has no sudden drop in the sea
old alcudia is a must to visit - we ate at 'sa place'in old alcudia - not the cheapest but very good food.
a walk to the port is a must, and so is eating at the chinese restaurant down there called 'restaurant shanghai chino', best won ton i have ever tasted and i eat out at chineses a lot! we liked it so much we went twice even though we were all inclusive.

we went on a 4 hour trip on the larger catamaran to fortumentura - that was excellent value. advice - if you feel seasick do not drink liquids!!

to me alcudia has something for everyone and because it is spread out itseems like three different resorts. i would love to go again.

Resort cleanliness: The hotel staff did their best, but with all the families, who just let their kids do what they like, I felt sorry for the staff.

Did not see much of the entertainment as we were not going to try and find a seat from 7pm when nothing was on till 9pm, most of the guests was rude or ignorant not enough room to say how big hotel is.

The hotel staff were helpful. Went to beach once, too far.

I would never vist this resort or reccommend it to anyone.
